The Prince Lestat is bad because it has a plot. The ideal Anne Rice book consists of info dumping her latest historical interest of the week, Lestat getting k-holed by Sephora, at least one uncomfortable sex scene, and a psychological breakdown in a nice hotel room.
Finally getting around to Prince Lestat and! It's basically a first draft! There's so many characters and I can barely tell the difference between them! Minor, mundane, single chapter characters in the Mayfair Witches had literally so much more personality, charm and depth than these major POV characters
Do not fear Lestat and Louis' heads can be reattached they've been spouting it all season.
However we should consider why Armand and Daniel have done this. Surface level stops the concert sure... But in the Prince Lestat we see Louis and Gabrielle get their necks broken and "decapitated" this severs their connection to the rest of the vampires, so they are presumed dead. But are still alive inside of there.
Armand may be trying to sever Lestat's connection with the rest of the vampires because he's drawing too much powerful attention, a forced break but a reattachment later on, see our gremlin may still be acting out of the kindness of his heart ❤️
Ngl , after hearing Lestat say " But i, Amel , digress" the thought that they might skip the twins has crossed my mind...

from the vampire lestat s3e5. this is lestat talking. but i, amel, digress. are we doing prince lestat right now? that's exciting. interesting new perspective on how the failures narrative is going.
Some book spoilers and random thoughts
I was thinking back on some AN interviews about the 'Prince Lestat' trilogy being a reboot of the Vampire Chronicles, and how a lot of the content in that trilogy was contradicted by the arrival of Atalantaya, and I keep wondering how they’re going to incorporate that into the series. How are they going to introduce these characters into Amel’s story? It was crazy because when the people of Atalantaya sit down to tell the story of Atlantis, we discover that many loose ends were told incorrectly, and if I’m not mistaken, they believe that Memnoch was one of them—who became a spirit skilled at deceiving people.
So, in the series, will they take things literally and already incorporate the ideas from the “reboot” of the Prince trilogy, or will they just carry on as if everything were the biggest manipulation in history—tricking us so they can later introduce the new characters and reveal that it was all actually a “lie”?
helloooo nobody gonna talk about the amel mention
