Why does no-one ever follow the story? Do they think that if they follow the plot of Anne on Avonlea their story is going to suck? It won't!

In the movies(with Megan Fallows) Anne of Green Gables was pretty good. But Anne of Avonlea was a straight up travesty. They miss out on some of the best characters and story lines and instead they smash 3 books together and it just doesn't work. The build up to Anne and Gil doesn't work as well with out him pinning for all of AoA and then all that stuff in AotI.

Green Gables Fables is actually one of the best adaption I've seen. They attempt to follow the main-ish storyline of Anne and I appreciate it.

PBS. Listen I'm sure they tried but Martin Sheen as Matthew? No. Sorry.

Now for AnnE. What on Earth. Listen, I like AoGG but it's really best as a jumping off point to the rest of Anne's life(and also a beautiful picture of girlhood) and AnnE just messed up the whole plotline.

Hey everyone. So @vaspider the deadset legend brought to people’s attention that there’s a Spanish translation for “If ICE Agents Show Up At Your Door” that has been maliciously doctored to say things like “open the door for them” and “answer all their questions honestly” etc. And some dickhead stole those images from Spider’s post and made their own, all like “so uhm va//spi//der is bad and not a good person so here are the posters and here’s a really poor visual for how to tell them apart.” SO! Here’s MY post, saying 1) Spider’s awesome and they deserve love and hugs for the week they’ve had. And 2) here’s a very easy way to visually distinguish between the fake translation and the genuine one, because most folks have been told to look for “ACLU” vs “ALCU” or whatever, and that’s confusing and unclear.

For the fake, look for “Tu cooperación será apreciada” which can easily be translated to “Your cooperation will be appreciated” which should be a big and clear enough red flag.

Also look at “SOLO SE HONESTO” – Just be honest. Like, fuck these guys.

Really, just look for any instance of the word “honest” in there, and that should be clear that it’s a fake.

The real translation has two instances of these four words underlined and asterisked, with post script at the bottom.

It also says at the bottom: CONOCE TUS DERECHOS – KNOW YOUR RIGHTS

This fake yarn is supposedly better for sheep.

Aimed at people who don’t know where wool comes from, it’s 100% plastic. Yes, plastic.

So any garment you wash will release microfibres into the sea. It’ll never decompose.

You’re supposed to believe that sheep shearing is violent and cruel. There are imbeciles out there that work in an unprofessional manner while shearing, but that’s not the case overall.

Sheep don’t suffer from having their fleece removed.

Left on, the fleece can become a home for fly eggs and the subsequent maggots which can eat the sheep. Chemical treatments are available to prevent that happening. It’s much better for the sheep, the land and the farmer to avoid chemical use.
