Some terms:

Obez’yana: (monkey in Russian, as the campaign is Slavic/mostly Russian inspired) Typically lighter coloured than Japanese Macaques and somewhat similar to the Hadozee in stance (although not winged like them) and they are separated into different sects that are random based on their face skin being red and getting more saturated in the heat/heightened emotions, being blue and getting more saturated in the cold/heightened emotions, or being purple and getting more saturated only from heightened emotions. There are also naming conventions but I should first introduce the monastery traditions on their home island.

Istochniki: (Meaning springs or source in Russian because of both the hot springs and it being a source of power) This is the monastic tradition protected by the obez’yana. I based it loosely off of Wim Hof, but more so both extreme cold and extreme heat used to focus, using it to train for withstanding pain in battle. They are supposed to protect the hot springs which is why there is a trial to join the monastery, but because they value abilities and equality, the obez’yana who are born into it also have to do the trial (consisting of walking on coals, other things, and eventually swimming from the mainland to the island in the freezing water). The naming conventions have to do with the colour (red, purple, blue), where the red faced obez’yana have cold prefixes, purple have more neutral, and blue has heat related prefixes. The second half is more personal and can be something physical or an event in the person’s life. There are also prefixes with different connotations: Stu’lapa used to be named Rozhen’lapa but the prefix Stu’ is both cold and shame, and he failed his trial so: shameful/cold+paw.
