ugh that's so frustrating. i hate that so often exclusionists are the loudest, so uninformed and well-meaning people get fed biased and inaccurate nonsense before anything else and they think it's legit, or it drowns out the actual facts and history. it's truly fucking exhausting.

The aces, aros and demis have already been on the receiving end of this and I've seen well-meaning people get caught up in it and agree that perfectly good flags are Problematic and need to be changed because Exclusionists, TERFs and the like said so.

In honor of Asexual Visibility Week, i wanted to put together a list of ace authors and fics for Good Omens! I’ve never been in a fandom with such an active ace community and I want to share the love. :3 Author: Rattatatosk Shameless self-promo! I am aro-ace and write 100% asexual GO fic, although that’s usually not the focus. Some of my favorite pieces: What God has Joined - T/ 8k - 300 years after the failed Apocalypse, Heaven captures Crowley and makes Aziraphale an offer he can’t refuse. (https://archiveofourown.org/works/22872370/chapters/54667819) the sacred simplicity (of you at my side): (Aro-ace Aziraphale, Ace Crowley) Quite possibly the softest thing I’ve written. An accidental confession fic where they actually have an adult conversation instead of running away.

Never Leave Your Side - T / 30k - an alternate history AU in which Aziraphale actually is recalled to Heaven in 1800 (in the deleted bookshop scene). An angsty start, but ends with lots of soft crimes.

If Not Now, When - T / 90k - Human AU - Anthony Crowley has learned by now that anything that makes him happy will be temporary at best.  His quietly desperate routine is challenged when he happens to strike up a conversation with a customer at work, and he starts realizing three things, in this order: 1. oh huh this Aziraphale guy is actually interesting; 2. he can’t stop embarrassing himself by accidentally flirting with him; and 3. oh no this Aziraphale guy is actually extremely attractive what do I do.

But it Wouldn’t Be Make-Believe - T/ 30k - Human AU, fake dating. Crowley wants just one visit home to see his mum without her trying to fix him up with some nice young lady.  He also wants very, very much to kiss Aziraphale, a lot.  If only there was some way for him to accomplish both of these goals at once without having to actually ask Aziraphale out, which he is one thousand percent too chicken to do.

It’s not as though either of us has engaged in so much as fisticuffs in ages, and one does need to keep up practice with these sorts of things.” His fretting dies abruptly when Crowley cuts over him clearly, baldly: “Aziraphale.”

They can’t seem to connect on days after they’ve returned from their respective head offices.

How to Woo a Demon - T / 23k - Aziraphale tries to court Crowley with demonic wooing techniques to avoid miscommunication, and ends up with one very confused snake demon. (They figure it out eventually.) Chosen and Unchosen - T / 71k - The apocalypse may have been averted, but not everyone is relieved. Heaven and Hell may not believe that they can execute the traitors, but they also cannot let Aziraphale and Crowley go unpunished. Unfortunately for them, two not-quite-so-normal boys have some rather strong opinions on the topic.

They agree to a competition to tempt each other into the sins/virtues. Post apocalypse. Miscommunication into communication. Mostly fluffy with a dip into angst in the middle but it ends nicely. Some vaguely sexual chapters, but Aziraphale is straight up ace. There’s conversation about it

Not Quite Human

A sexual fic, but Aziraphale’s motivations are not exactly sexual, more just overwhelmingly physical. The pov switches around but I believe it’s pretty clear whose pov your in at any time. I think this is the best angel and demon vibes I’ve written, they’re not normal people. The ace Aziraphale and demi Crowley vibes are subtle but I was committed to it in the writing
