does getting cursed by a witch show up in drug tests
No, but it does show up on background checks and credit reports.
I'm just gonna drop this here and go take a nap. I'm sure this will clear everything up and no one will have any further questions or commentary.

Literally Eurovision intros this year
Sending all the Eurovision postcard ghosts to my wife as holiday card ideas for next year.
Because I don't know how else we're gonna top last year's Wicked theme...

If everyone posting to boycott Eurovision actually boycotts Eurovision, the rest of us will be booking our flights to Tel Aviv for Eurovision 2027.
Wasn't Israel-haters boycotting Eurovision a big part of how Israel won before?
Definitely a factor in last year's finish. Having a good song helped, because (while it may surprise some folks) some do just vote for the songs they like regardless of where they're from.
But people prefer conspiracy theories over, like, understanding how math works, apparently.
babygirl I don't know how to tell you this but there just isn't a way to do mass dehumanization in like, a "progressive leftist" kinda way.
They just did a feature on LGBTQIA+ Eurovision performers without mentioning Dana International. What the actual fuck?
Pretty sure they showed her in the montage, but they mentioned names of several other folks and can't be bothered to mention the first openly trans winner?
Hmm...

Literally had someone say to me the other day something about why can't Jews just make a home where they're at? Why do Jews need a whole country?
And like... You know, for a while, that was a popular idea!
And then the entire fucking world proved that Jews aren't safe, and that we cannot trust anyone but us to protect us. And all of the assimilationists and the Bundists were fucking murdered in the Shoah and all the other atrocities that followed.
Zionism is a vote of no confidence in the rest of the world to keep us safe.
You know, I feel like if you hear about a man who was lynched by white supremacists, and your first instinct is to ask "but were the white supremacists perhaps justified in lynching him?" there is something seriously wrong with you.
I also feel like if you hear about a man who was lynched by white supremacists, and your first instinct is to ask "was he Black?" and if the answer to that is no, your second instinct is to ask "WELL IN THAT CASE were the white supremacists perhaps justified in lynching him?" then there is something equally seriously wrong with you.
This is about Leo Frank, but it's not just about Leo Frank. If literally your only problem with white supremacists lynching people is "I know that Good Leftists aren't supposed to support the racist lynchings of Black people during Jim Crow specifically (but tbd on how we're allowed to feel about literally any other actions meant to advance white supremacy, maybe the rest of them are all fine and good idk)" then you are not actually against white supremacy in any meaningful sense. You've just memorized a few nominally anti-racist talking points without ever learning the underlying concepts.

When I was training to be a battered women’s advocate, my supervisor said something that really blew my mind:
“You can always assume one thing about your clients; and that is that they are doing their best. Always assume everyone is doing their best. And if they’re having a day where their best just isn’t that great, or their best doesn’t look like your best, you have to be okay with that.”
Any now whenever anyone in my life, either a friend or a client, frustrates me, disappoints me, or pisses me off, I just tell myself They are doing their best. Their best isn’t that great today, but I have days where my best isn’t that great either.
Op I’d like to thank you for sharing this. Ever since the first time I’ve read it I’ve held it in my mind and it really has helped me to be kinder to others and to myself.
