Is your AU focused just on the ships or does it have a deeper meaning or moral?

My AU while yes it has ships in it, the story of it will have a deeper meaning. Most of the characters will overcome some sort of thing that holds them back from being their true selves. Ratchet is one of them, Ratchet can’t stand the thought of being in love or loving someone, any time he has something bad has happened to them so he just stopped trying. Ratchet also has a hard time excepting himself and Ironhide constantly has to check up on him and cheer him up. Starscream also has a thing he has to overcome. He has to overcome the fear of never being enough for those he cares about or being the thing that gets someone killed. Lots of other bots have things they need to overcome as well. Perceptor needs to learn to forgive. Mirage has to find a way to not feel like his parents are controlling his life. Soundwave has to find the good during the bad times. Prowl has to learn how to be himself.
