caretaker was relieved by whumpeeβs willingness to obey at first, even if they knew it was unlike whumpee. until they realized how whumper would punish and hurt whumpee whenever they showed a glimpse of disobedience, and thatβs why whumpee submitted like a dog; theyβre scared caretaker is going to hurt them if they disobey.
and now no matter how caretaker tries to get that fight back in whumpee, no matter how they try to provoke whumpee into lashing out just so whumpee can become themself again, whumpee just takes it silently and obediently, theyβre just a broken, empty shell of who they used to be.

The many uses of Whumpee being incredibly beaten up. Covered in bruises and cuts and maybe a few gashes, add a broken bone in if serious injuries are your thing. They arenβt fatally wounded, but it looks ugly. Maybe whumper realizes they went way too far after seeing just how fucked up Whumpee looks. Maybe Whumpee is getting rescued and caretaker/ team gets to see. Maybe Whumpee is trying to hide the whump and canβt anymore. Also Whumpee just looks very weak and damaged and vulnerable, which is bad for prideful and stoic (possibly living weapons and defiant too) Whumpees.
Whumper/Carewhumper who realized they pushed Whumpee too far. Maybe Whumpee has been stoic this entire time and now just won't stop sobbing. Maybe Whumpee was defiant and now is just... complacent. Maybe there was something Whumpee always cared about, a comfort object or person, and now when Whumper tries to tempt them with it Whumpee just shakes their head. Especially good with a Whumper or Carewhumper who thought that what they were doing was best for Whumpee, but now they very clearly pushed them too far.
