Whumper wants whumpee to do something, but they refuse, so they chain them to the bottom of a lake just shallow enough for whumpee to stand in with their face over the surface and then do nothing but wait. Whumpee has to keep their balance for hours and can only endure the wet and cold and hope for rescue, all the while having to listen to whumper go about their normal day. No food, only seconds of sleep at a time. Maybe there are even animals in the lake, fish and bugs and birds that see an easy meal

"you're sure about this, hero? they haven't said anything since you brought them in." the warden slides the cell door open and steps aside. "i'm not sure if you'll get anything out of them."
"thanks for the warning, we're just going to catch up." they tilt their head, "isn't that right, villain?"
instantly, villain tenses and pulls their knees to their chest.
hero smiles and walks into the cell, "where's superhero?"
*busts thru your wall like the kool-aid man* did someone say whumperless whump?
an underrated form of whumperless whump imo is accidental self injury—whumpee trips down the stairs or cuts themself cooking or otherwise has what should be an embarrassing but not dangerous accident. but whumpee's unlucky, and they cut too deep for a bandaid or they give themself a concussion, maybe even a broken bone, anything that needs immediate attention.

Tough macho whumpee kidnapped by a rival gang, tortured, found by the person who involved them in gang-related business (whumpee completely unfamiliar with any of it, scared out of their wits) feeling betrayed while barely hanging on to life and genuinely terrified :3c

Neglected Mer and inexperienced owner whumper 
Owners who think they don’t filter their tanks, so whumpee is just swimming in their own filth, it getting harder and harder to breath.
mer who’s owner thinks they just need a bowl barely big enough to turn in.

Owners who don’t put any hidden spots or enrichment into their tank.
The cramped cramped conditions both making them terrified of anything, or everything and depressed because they can’t move.
Owners who move them wrong, who just plop them in a new tank, without acclimating them to their new water. the shock being abrasive and painful it might even be hard to breathe if the salt lever is wrong
owners that don’t think salt water, and fresh water are that different. so they put salt water met into a freshwater tank or vice versa. The water suddenly becomes painful and making it hard to breathe.

"you're trying to kill me." villain spits, scooting away from hero's outstretched hand. "go away, go away. you're going to kill me."
"villain, please." supervillain falls to their knees and tries to pull them closer to them, "i'm here to help you, we need to leave before hero comes back."
villain flinches at the name and shakes their head, "they'll kill me if they find out." they look up, tears shining in their eyes, "they'll kill the both of us."
leader sits on the floor, knees to their chest as they try to ignore the tapping of sidekick's boots on the floor as they pace the cell.
sidekick stops in front of leader and shouts, "how are you so fucking calm right now!?"
leader tenses as another one of whumpee's screams rings through the echoing hallway. "if they're screaming, they're alive. there's nothing we can do for them right now, but whumper's going to drop them back in here and we need to be ready for it."
Famous Whumpee in therapy because of panic attacks x Psychologist Whumper who manufactures the triggers, then "saves" them, ensuring Whumpee will never stop needing them.

idea somewhat based off of a thing that literally happened to me and a friend once irl- whumpee sick with a fever and caretaker trying to check whumpee's temperature by feeling their forehead. caretaker has one hand on whumpee's forehead and one on their own to try to feel if whumpee is warmer than them, but can't feel a difference. friend/third character steps in and feels whumpee's forehead and is confused how on earth caretaker isn't be able to feel the warmth coming off whumpee. third character feels caretaker's forehead to find that caretaker ALSO has a fever, but is so tired/overworked/oblivious that they genuinely haven't realized that they're sick too.

”Listen.” Character A pulls whumpee’s blindfold off and grips their arms tight, ensuring they have whumpees attention. “When your feet hit the ground you run. You run and you don’t stop running. If you can’t run you hide, and you better do it well because if he finds you? There will be nothing either of us can do.” They speak with practiced ease. They’ve said this speech so many times before. Whumpee looks at them with terrified confusion and character A shoves them out of the car. They watch whumpee stumble, and scramble to their feet. Fleeing into the trees. Sometimes they wish they could follow Whumpers victims, get away get somewhere safe, but Whumper won’t stop taking victims. They need to stay. It’s terrifying though, If Whumper ever finds out they’re letting his toys escape instead of finishing them off like they’re supposed to? Well… character A has seen a dozen times what Whumper is capable of

They both are horrible to each other but neither of them can bear to actually part because that would mean giving up control of the other- meaning they “lose”.

returning a year later to realize Villain was not helped. In fact, they were given the opposite.

oh i absolutely LOVE villain whump ! it's probably one of my favorite things to write for :)
angel whumpee gets sent to hell maybe the demons are the source of it. maybe they don't care. maybe they're kind and try to stop it. but just being in a place so antithetical to their nature makes the angel start to twist and distort. body horror and all that. maybe they go back to heaven and the other angels can't even look at them. maybe they lose their mind. maybe they don't and that's worse
