We are being so spoiled, we're finally getting to explore Darktow after our chucklefucks got a lifetime ban less than 24 hours after first visiting! This is great. Matt didn't create all that Island lore for nothing! We finally get to see it!

I am so convinced that Avantika's "business associate"--who she was going to see about the Diver's Grave--was Sabian. At this point of the episode, Matt had no reason to think the Nein were going to sneak into Avantika's quarters on the ship, and this conversation was filled with potential options for the next day in Darktow. Matt was also making Avantika weirdly guarded about this contact when she was fairly open with the Nein about everything else.
Two versions of Backstage Pass for Projekt Funball and Darktow for Beacon bits will be available (src) Details above in screen capture.
Returning to my Critical Role thread. Wyatt Maranos, more known as the Plank King, leader of the pirate utopia in Darktow. This NPC is voiced by Matthew Mercer in @criticalrole
completely forgot that I had a jrusar wip in the works and I'm about to be away from home for a week or so with a lot of car journeys so... maybe that'll be the next big rendered thing I do
though I'm not great at drawing structures in actual art digitally which is wild bc I'm an architecture grad and can draw them fine for actual projects but just apparently not for art... so we shall see how that turns out
or I'll go for darktow next and stick with the island theme whilst practicing some structures

A stroll through Darktow
here's a wip of my favourite fight in the campaign plus my favourite leitmotif from Spiderverse!
CRInktober 10/10: Scars/Healing/Rebirth/Rest (Part 2/2—Mighty Nein)
Given that a life on the high seas is a dangerous one, and that the title of ‘Pirate King’ is held for life but seldom for long, it’s hardly surprising that the current bearer of the title is as covered in scars as he is in tattoos.
What might be surprising (or, perhaps not), is the sheer variety and improbability of the explanations for them that Kingsley will give, if asked.
Sometimes, he’ll tell of constantly battling undead sea spawn sent by an eldritch sea titan coming after a former captain’s treasure (this is widely believed to be the tallest tale of the whole lot).
Other times, they’ll be attributed (with a wink and a toothy grin) to any variety of lovers with varying definitions of and approaches to ‘a good time’.
Sometimes, they are the prize for climbing Darktow’s ladder so far so fast, which would make sense, if not for the fact that he’d had most of them prior to his arrival...
A series of monsters, each more improbable than the last, are also named as the culprits at one time or other. Then, there were those who’ve actually seen Kingsley fight, and who try to argue that they were most, if not all, self-inflicted...who are then promptly jeered from the various taverns in the pirate haven for bringing a boring answer to a fun game.
And, of course, there is the answer (rarely given) that all the pirates on the island and beyond know better than to believe:
“What can I say? I was born with them...”
