JINU ❤️🐾

• Jinu treats this like a military operation. The cat sneezes once and he’s immediately like: “We need to monitor breathing patterns. Take notes.” He has a whole chart on the wall tracking food intake, hydration, bathroom trips, and naps

• He hand-feeds the cat with surgical precision, scooping little bits of wet food onto a spoon and crouching down like it’s the most serious mission of his life. “One bite at a time. Good. That’s enough for now.”

• He hates the burritoed cat at first because he thinks it looks undignified, but you walk in one day to find the cat swaddled like a baby in his arms. He mutters, “It was shivering. Don’t laugh.”

• Jinu microwaves hot water bottles but checks the temperature with his wrist like he’s warming formula for a newborn. “Too hot. Needs to be exactly right.” His standards are insane, but he won’t budge

• He refuses to let the cat jump onto counters or sofas. Instead, he lifts it gently like a royal. The cat starts meowing at him deliberately, knowing he’ll come running. You tease him that he’s been trained

• He still tries to pretends he doesn’t care when the boys ask (even though they know he's whipped), but then you catch him in the middle of the night, the cat burritoed on his chest, whispering: “You better get better soon, little shadow. I don’t like seeing you weak.”

ABBY 💚🐾

• Abby absolutely freaks out when the cat gets sick. He runs around yelling: “Emergency! Code red! Our baby is dying!!” You have to physically stop him from calling an ambulance for a kitten

• He insists on being the full-time nurse. He wears a little towel around his neck like a doctor’s stethoscope and carries the cat around in his arms like a fragile egg

• He takes the burrito wrapping way too seriously. He tucks the blanket so tight that the cat looks like a furry burrito roll. He then parades it around the house like: “Look at my little purr-ito!” The cat looks unimpressed, but Abby is in heaven

• He feeds it like royalty, scooping food with his fingers and blowing on it first like it’s soup. “Careful, my king/queen, it might be too hot for your delicate tongue.” He even makes airplane noises: “Here comes the choo-choo tuna train!”

• Abby gets dramatic whenever the cat meows. “OH NO, IT’S CRYING. I CAN’T HANDLE THIS. BAAAAABE HELP!” Then two minutes later, he’s back to kissing its forehead and calling it the bravest creature alive

• He documents the entire healing journey. “Day 3: the patient has regained some strength. Spirits are high. Doctor Abby is confident in full recovery.”

• When the cat finally perks up, he cries actual tears, hugging it tight. “Don’t you ever scare me like that again, you tiny monster.”

MYSTERY 💜🐾

• Mystery doesn’t panic — instead, he goes full stoic nurse mode. He moves silently around the house, setting up blankets, heating pads, and water bowls like he’s preparing a sanctuary

• He’s the king of the burrito wrap. Somehow, he folds the blanket around the cat so perfectly it looks like a snug little cocoon, only its head poking out. He sits there for hours, stroking its ears in silence

• He doesn’t call it baby names or coo at it. Instead, he talks in his usual, serious voice: “You’ll get through this. You’re strong.” But the gentleness in his tone betrays him

• He hand-feeds with absolute patience, dipping his fingers in water so the cat licks tiny drops off. “Good. Slowly. Don’t strain yourself.” He treats it like a fragile treasure

• Mystery carries the cat everywhere so it doesn’t have to move. You catch him pacing the house with it perched on his shoulder, its head tucked into his neck, his hand rubbing soothing circles on its back

• When the cat meows, Mystery instantly responds — even in the middle of the night. He gets up without complaint, whispers to it, and makes sure it’s comfortable. You wake up to see them both asleep on the couch, curled into each other

• He’ll never admit how worried he is, but you overhear him muttering once: “If you don’t get better… I don’t know what I’ll do.” It breaks your heart (and makes you love him even more)

ROMANCE 🩷 🐾

• Romance is devastated when the cat gets sick. He kneels beside it like he’s in a tragic opera, stroking its fur dramatically. “My poor muse! Stricken down in its youth! What cruel fate is this?”

• But he’s also incredibly attentive. He sets up a cushioned nest of blankets, pillows, and even rose petals (because of course). “A poet’s companion deserves beauty, even in illness.”

• He’s very gentle with the burrito method, wrapping the cat with care and cradling it against his chest like a fragile infant. He hums lullabies as he rocks it

• He hand-feeds delicacies like he’s serving royalty. He warms the food slightly, garnishes it with the tiniest sprinkle of herbs (safe ones, obviously), and whispers: “For you, little one. Eat, regain your strength.”

• When the cat meows, he responds with flowery words: “Ah, even in weakness your voice rings clear! Courageous creature, your song inspires me.”

• When the cat finally recovers, Romance throws a recovery party. He pours sparkling water (for you) and sets out fancy treats (for the cat) and declares: “Today we celebrate survival, resilience, and love!”

BABY 💙🐾

• Baby reacts the loudest when the cat gets sick. “Noooo! My little monster! Who cursed you?? I’ll fight them right now!” He’s pacing the room, panicking, while the cat is just sniffling in its blanket

• He insists on being the nurse but does EVERYTHING WRONG. He over-wraps the burrito so the cat looks like a sausage roll. He warms the hot water bottle too much, then freaks out when it’s too hot. He hand-feeds but gets half the food on himself

• He still carries the cat everywhere like a baby. The cat meows at the couch, and instead of letting it climb, Baby scoops it up: “Say no more, I gotchu.” He narrates every movement: “Up we go! No jumping on MY watch.”

• He gets protective to the point of absurdity. “Nobody sneeze near it. Nobody breathe near it. If you infect my baby, I’ll end you.” He makes a sign for the door: “Quarantine Zone: Authorized Personnel Only.”

• At night, you catch him lying on the bed with the burritoed cat on his chest, whispering: “Don’t leave me, okay? You’re my best friend. We gotta gang up on Jinu together when you’re better.”

• He literally starts training the cat from its sickbed. He waves his fingers around and says, “See? When you’re strong again, we’ll practice pouncing. First target? Jinu’s socks. Second? Mystery’s favorite sweater.”

JINU ❤️🐾

• Jinu is very serious about the harness training. He insists on researching the safest brands, the most durable buckles, and the least flashy design. “This isn’t for show. It’s for safety.” He says it with that stern tone, but you notice how carefully he adjusts the straps around the cat, making sure it’s snug but not uncomfortable

• When you suggest the bubble backpack, he refuses instantly. “No. That looks ridiculous.” He opts for a sleek, simple black lead that looks like it came from a tactical gear store

• The first time he walks the cat outside, he acts completely calm, but you catch him subtly positioning himself between the cat and the street every time a car passes. Overprotective much? Absolutely

• If anyone comments on the cat, he plays it cool. “It’s just a pet.” But later, you catch him showing the cat pictures of the route on his phone like he’s briefing a teammate. “We’ll go this way next time. Less noise.”

• He still pretends he doesn’t care, especially around the boys, but you keep catching him slipping. Once, you found him at the park bench with the cat perched proudly on his shoulder, feeding it tiny bits of chicken like a devoted parent

• When you tease him, he huffs, “It just… prefers me. That’s all.” But the way he presses a kiss to its head when he thinks you’re not looking says otherwise

ABBY 💚🐾

• Abby goes all in on the accessories. He absolutely insists on the bubble backpack because he thinks it’s hilarious and iconic. “Look at it! Our baby looks like it’s in a space pod! Astronaut kitty!” He carries it proudly like he’s walking a runway

• He also experiments with everything — regular lead, wagon cart, even a sparkly pink buggy he found online. The cat loves the attention, and Abby thrives on the stares. “What? Never seen a superstar with his superstar before?”

• He constantly takes videos of their walks, narrating them dramatically. “Here we are, conquering the world together!” He sends you videos of the cat “leading” him around and captions it, “CEO of my life.”

• When people stop to coo, he beams with pride, acting like the cat is HIS idea of responsibility and not yours. “Yeah, it’s basically my kid. Look at that face. Takes after me, huh?”

• He and the cat become a comedy duo — Abby hypes it up like a sidekick. He even buys matching sunglasses so they can strut down the street together

• The boys tease him endlessly, but he doesn’t care. He loudly declares, “This cat chose ME! Don’t be jealous.” And honestly he might be right

MYSTERY 💜🐾

• Mystery wasn’t keen on the idea of taking the cat out at all — too many risks, too many strangers. But once he sees how curious the cat gets near the window, he silently starts training it, testing the harness without even telling you

• He refuses anything flashy. Absolutely not the bubble backpack, no wagon, no buggy. He insists on a simple, leather lead, minimal and discreet. “It shouldn’t look like a toy. It should look controlled.”

• The first walk with Mystery is so calm it’s almost eerie. He’s hyper-alert to everything, scanning the environment while the cat strolls confidently at his side. He moves with it like he’s the bodyguard and the cat’s the VIP

• He acts like it’s no big deal, but you catch him crouching to adjust the harness with the softest hands, murmuring under his breath: “Good. You’re doing well.”

• People rarely approach him because of his aura, but when they do, he gives curt nods and pulls the cat closer, protective. Later, though, you find him scrolling through his phone gallery filled with blurry cat photos

• He still pretends not to care. If you ask, he’ll grunt, “It’s just… tolerable.” But you’ve seen him sitting on the balcony at night, the cat curled in his lap, both of them staring into the dark like old souls. That’s his best friend now — he just won’t admit it out loud

ROMANCE 🩷 🐾

• Romance treats harness training like a refined art. He chooses a hand-stitched harness with elegant embroidery, soft padding, and matching leash. He insists on comfort and style because “our little companion deserves nothing less.”

• He’s surprisingly patient, spending long evenings coaxing the cat into walking gracefully, praising it with soft words: “Yes, darling, just like that. Such poise.”

• For outings, he prefers the handbag carrier — a leather satchel with a breathable mesh, elegant and understated. He looks like a nobleman escorting a tiny royal everywhere he goes

• He loves the attention. When strangers compliment the cat, he smiles graciously and says things like, “Beauty attracts beauty. Of course it is mine.” You’re not sure if he’s talking about the cat, or himself

• He insists on scenic routes — flower gardens, riverside paths, quiet cobblestone streets — so the cat’s first walks are as enchanting as possible

• The cat quickly grows attached, often curling in his lap like a velvet jewel. He strokes it absently while writing verses, murmuring, “You inspire me, little darling.”

• He doesn’t even try to hide his affection. With Romance, the cat becomes another character in his endless love story — and you adore how seamlessly it fits into his world

BABY 💙🐾

• Baby fights you tooth and nail about the harness. “I said no! It’s a dumb idea! Cats aren’t dogs! This monster’s gonna claw my arm off!” He grumbles the loudest… but somehow he’s also the first to slip the harness on when you’re not looking

• He pretends he hates all the fancy options, but you catch him scrolling online late at night looking at cat wagons. Eventually, he shows up with a flashy little cart, acting like it was a joke purchase. “What? It was on sale.” But he beams when the cat actually sits in it

• The first walk is chaos. Baby’s half-panicked, half-excited. “It’s pulling me! Babe, it’s pulling me like a sled dog!” He yells dramatically, but you can see how carefully he keeps his hand on the harness, never letting go

• He starts competing with the others about whose method is better. “Forget Jinu’s boring leash, look at this chariot! My cat’s royalty now.” He parades it around like a circus act, proud as ever

• But when strangers crowd around, he gets protective real fast. “Back off! You don’t get to touch it. It’s mine.” He glares like a guard dog, scooping the cat into his arms

• He still pretends he doesn’t like it. “It’s barely tolerable.” Yet somehow, every morning, you find him sneaking off for “secret walks,” humming to it under his breath

JINU ❤️🐾

• At first, Jinu is not having it. The moment you bring home the little stray kitten, his arms cross and his jaw sets. “We don’t have time for this. Pets are a responsibility.” His leader-brain is already calculating all the inconveniences: shedding on his black clothes, the cost of food, the litter box

• He pretends he’s not paying attention, but he notices everything. When the kitten mews at night, he frowns and mutters under his breath. When you coo at it, he side-eyes you, clearly thinking you’re spoiling it

• And then one morning, you catch him crouched down, holding the kitten in his palm like it’s made of glass. He whispers in a low, soft voice you’ve never heard him use: “You’re not so bad, are you?” The second he sees you watching, he clears his throat and stands up straight. “It followed me. I was just… making sure it didn’t hurt itself since you love it so much.”

• He starts calling it “the cat” — never by name — but you find him letting “the cat” curl on his lap while he works. One day, you peek into his room and see the kitten sprawled on his chest while he naps. Your heart explodes

• When you tease him, he mutters, “Don’t be ridiculous. I don’t care about it.” But he secretly researches the best food brands, carefully brushes its fur, and even buys it a sleek black collar

• The truth comes out when the kitten gets sick. Jinu drops everything, rushing it to the vet, pacing the room until the doctor reassures him it’s fine. He sighs in relief, stroking its head with shaking hands. “Don’t scare me like that again.”

• Now, he’s hopelessly attached. He doesn’t admit it out loud, but when he thinks you're not around, you hear him murmur: “My little shadow.”

ABBY 💚🐾

• Abby’s first reaction is dramatic. “A CAT? Babe, I’m allergic to animals!” He laughs like it’s a joke, but you see the hesitation in his eyes — he’s not sure he can handle it

• The first few days are chaos. The kitten tries to climb his leg, and he yelps, “It’s attacking me!” He dramatically pretends to faint when it claws his shirt. He insists it “hates him.”

• But then, he discovers how playful it is. One minute he’s groaning about litter duty, the next he’s lying on the floor with a string toy, laughing harder than you’ve ever seen him as the kitten bats at it. “Look! It’s so smart! It knows I’m the fun one.”

• He starts carrying it around tucked under his arm like a football, narrating its every move in a silly voice. He makes up songs about it, complete with terrible freestyle raps

• At night, you find him whispering secrets to the kitten. “Listen, don’t tell Y/N, but you’re my best friend now.” He posts pictures of it on his socials, captioning them with exaggerated bragging: “World’s cutest cat (and owner).”

• He insists on being the one to feed it, “so it knows who his dad is.” He even FaceTimes you once just to show you the cat fell asleep on his lap. “Look! It loves me! Don’t be jealous, babe.”

• His friends clown him mercilessly for becoming a cat dad. He just beams and says, “Yup. I’m obsessed. What about it?”

• Abby becomes the kind of cat parent who celebrates its birthday, throws parties, and sings lullabies. The cat absolutely adores him — and honestly, so do you

MYSTERY 💜🐾

• Mystery’s reaction is pure deadpan. You set the kitten down in the living room, and he just raises an eyebrow. “No.” That’s all he says before walking away

• He doesn’t like the idea of something unpredictable, something noisy, something that might disrupt the calm order of his space. He warns you not to expect him to get involved

• Except... the kitten decides it loves him. It follows him everywhere, weaving between his legs, meowing at his door. He pretends not to notice, but he doesn’t close the door in its face either

• One night, you find him sitting in the dark, the kitten curled in his lap while he strokes its back with absentminded precision. When you walk in, he just says, “It was cold. I didn’t want it to suffer.” His voice is softer than usual, though

• Slowly, he warms up to it. You notice him checking the food bowl without comment, researching cat behavior on his phone late at night, even scolding you when you leave the window open. “It could have gotten out.”

• The turning point comes when the kitten gets startled during a storm and runs to him instead of you. He lifts it carefully, holding it against his chest, whispering something low and soothing until it stops trembling. That’s when you realize — he’s bonded

• Now, he pretends it’s “just a cat,” but you catch him talking to it when he thinks you’re not around. “You and me… we understand each other, don’t we?” His rare smiles come out only when it’s purring against his chest

• Romance tries to act composed when you bring the kitten home. “A cat? Hm. I suppose if it makes you happy…” He sighs like he’s being inconvenienced, but he’s secretly already enchanted

• He approaches it with the same tenderness he gives you — crouching down, speaking in soft tones, letting it sniff his hand before stroking its head. “Charmed, little one. Welcome to the family.”

• Within a day, he’s writing poems about it. He calls it “the feline muse” and compares its eyes to starlight. You find scraps of verses about whiskers and tiny paws tucked in his notebooks

• He spoils it rotten. Silk cushions for it to sleep on, little gold bowls for food, a brush with bristles gentler than any human could ever need. He insists the cat deserves luxury because it’s part of your world now

• When it curls up on his lap, he smiles softly, stroking it while reading aloud from his favorite books. “And so, little one, love conquered all…” It purrs like it understands

• He loves how much you laugh watching him with it. He’ll look up from stroking its fur and murmur, “If it brings you joy, then I’ll devote myself to it, too.”

• Romance becomes the kind of cat dad who frames photos, writes dedications, and throws candlelit “birthday dinners” for the three of you. He’ll say it’s silly, but the sparkle in his eyes betrays his joy

BABY 💙🐾

• Baby is furious when you first bring the cat home. “WHAT is that? No way. Get it out! It’s gonna scratch my sneakers! It’s gonna shed on my clothes!” He stomps around like the little kid (he sometimes acts like it), declaring he’ll never accept it

• The kitten immediately climbs onto his shoulder like it owns him. He screeches, “SEE?! It’s already attacking me!” You laugh so hard you nearly cry

• But… you notice him sneaking glances. He pretends he doesn’t care, but you catch him googling “what do cats eat” at 2 a.m. He even starts leaving out little toys “by accident”

• The first time the kitten chooses his lap, he panics. “Yah! What do I do? It’s sitting on me!” You tell him to stay still, and twenty minutes later, you find him passed out on the couch, the kitten curled against his chest, his arm protectively draped over it

• From then on, he’s hooked. He’ll still complain loudly — “This demon scratched me again!” — but he’s secretly proud of every scar. He brags, “Look, it marked me. I’m its favorite parent.”

• He gives it a ridiculous nickname, and refuses to use anything else. He insists they have a “special bond” you’ll never understand

• One night, you overhear him whispering: “Hey… don’t tell Y/N, but I think I love you. Don’t leave me, okay? Also... we both love Y/N, so we have to make sure she stays with us forever” His voice cracks just enough for you to realize how deeply he cares for both of you

• You nearly get emotional, but it vanishes when you hear your little menace whisper to the kitten: ”I'll let you cuddle with Y/N, but remember that only I can kiss her on the lips. I found her first, so I'm still more important than you.”

deuce spade

A fine pick; Trein is neither severely impressed nor disappointed. He doesn’t think Deuce is too bad, but he believes you could do better. Deuce will need to somehow prove himself to Trein. On the outside, Trein looks like he absolutely hates his guts. His eyes are always staring at Deuce with this sharp look and it gets the card soldier real nervous real fast. In reality, it’s just Trein keeping a closer eye on him + his RBF. He’s relatively neutral on the first year, yet Deuce is fully convinced that his professor wants to set him on fire.

cater diamond

Trein is very annoyed with your choice. He doesn’t like Cater’s social media addiction and would much rather have you hit the books than scrolling through Magicam. Not to mention, he feels as though something about Cater’s happy-go-lucky attitude is a facade, and doesn’t trust him around you. Cater finds Trein scary, but he’s not as intimidated as Deuce. As he does with Ace, Trein takes Cater to have a talk, and—surprisingly— his opinions on the third year improve. He doesn’t fully like him, but he’ll tolerate Cater more so than beforehand. Cater also offers to help Trein make a social media account; it’s cute yet chaotic all the same watching them bond.

trey clover

Before Trein can form a solid thought on Trey, the vice housewarden is subtly trying to win his favor. Trey knows how about his father-like connection to you and immediately shapes up. He gifts Trein different pastries and learns which ones he’s partial to. What really wins the professor over is when Trey starts volunteering to help clean his classroom after class. Trein won’t even know the two of you are already together and he’ll make comments around you like, “That Clover boy is real nice…” Needless to say, Trein approves of Trey long before he finds out you both are in a relationship.

riddle rosehearts

Trein immediately scowls when he hears the news of your relationship. You’d think he’d approve due to Riddle’s intellect and dutiful behavior. Admittedly, Trein does like that about Riddle. But he despises the boy’s bursts of anger, finding them childish and unfitting for a future mage. He’s seen the housewarden go berserk on one too many students and doesn’t trust he won’t do the same to you. Trein doesn’t want you walking on eggshells around your own partner. This is another one who’ll have to prove themselves to Trein. Riddle will be upset when he hears of Trein’s low opinion of him, but gets a surge of motivation to convince him otherwise. You’ll find Riddle working even harder on his studies than before you didn’t even think that was possible in hopes of gaining Trein’s favor. He’ll eventually get it. I imagine that Riddle does some small, heroic deed for you that really shows his love, and Trein just so happens to be passing by and sees it. Once your unofficial official father in Twisted Wonderland gets along with Riddle, expect to be nagged about missing assignments and homework a WHOLE LOT.

jack howl

Similar to Trey, he immediately knows about your bond with Trein. Instead of trying to win over the professor, Jack takes a more blunt approach. He goes straight to his desk after class and tells him about your relationship, being upfront about his feelings towards you. Trein respects it. He thinks that Jack has more guts than most on campus and trusts him to protect you. He’s quite supportive of the relationship, acting as a mentor for the both of you. You can catch him watching the two of you with a tiny smile, murmuring something along the lines of, “Young love.” The two of you remind him of his own marriage with his late wife. It makes him sentimental in a way.

ruggie bucchi

A BIG 180 FROM JACK. Trein thinks this guy is sleazy. Ruggie couldn’t care less in the beginning, finding it funny to practically hang off your shoulder while Trein stared daggers into him. Then it started to seep in that it may or may not be important to get Trein’s approval for a long-term relationship with you. That’s when he gets his act together and completely starts sucking up to Trein. He’ll help out with paperwork, errands, cleaning up, etc! All for free! much to his dismay All Ruggie asks for in return is Trein’s support for your relationship. He catches Trein by surprise with how well his work ethic is. The lengths the hyena goes to for you ends up leaving the professor impressed.

leona kingscholar

Professor Trein is both surprised and disappointed. Now how did this happen? He didn't think Kingscholar was capable of being nice to anyone, let alone get into a whole relationship. Well, he bugs you to tell your boyfriend to start showing up to class. He’s not exactly happy with you dating a huge slacker like him, but Trein knows that Leona is a smart boy. Brash and not his first pick, sure, but he wouldn’t play with your heart or rope you into anything stupid. He trusts Kingscholar to protect you. But if he starts seeing you begin to skip class— which is going to happen, Leona’s going to make you do it at least once— he’ll pull YOU aside and give you an earful. Tough love, unfortunately.

floyd leech

Hell no. All the red blaring flags. Now why would you go and do that? Really? Out of EVERYONE? You bet your bottoms Trein is actively speaking out against your relationship every single time he sees you. He doesn't even want to try to talk to Floyd. Trein is convinced you are addicted to getting in trouble and lets out the biggest old man sigh. Is there any way Floyd can win the professor’s favor? Probably not. And if there was a way, would Floyd even do it? Big fat no. Floyd thinks it is hilarious that Professor Trein disapproves, upping his affections around him with that toothy grin of his. And if you guys have a class together that Trein teaches? Chaos. Expect a lot of paper balls to be thrown at you.

jade leech

“Are you okay??” Is the first thing Trein asks when you tell him you and Jade are in a relationship. Doesn't exactly trust the boy, but Jade tends to behave around him. The professor has always seen him being picture-perfect whenever he’s around which is 100% suspicious, but Trein doesn't have any solid reasons to disapprove. Jade, like his brother, finds the whole situation very amusing. He’s always figuring out new ways to appear like the ‘ideal boyfriend’ to Trein. If he ever talks to the professor he’ll slip in a comment like, “I never disappoint, trust me” and it makes Trein distrust him even more.

azul ashengrotto

Now what bet did you lose for this to have happened? At least Ashengrotto is a star student, you need to hang out around more of those in his opinion. After confirming that, “No, no bet was lost,” and “No, he’s not paying for my love,” Trein was pretty alright with it. The Monstro Lounge is a student-ran organization, it's clear from that the young boy is capable and responsible. He just keeps a very, very close eye on you two. The last thing Trein wants is for Azul to take advantage of you since— knowing him— he seems like the type to do so. Expect frequent questions of “How’s your relationship going?” and “He’s treating you right, right?” Azul is going to get asked to stay after class to talk. Trein then proceeds to threaten lecture him on how to properly treat your lover. He just wants to make sure you don't get wrapped up in one of those contracts he’s heard about. Azul has quite the track record.

Automatically assumes you’re dating him for the money and begins to ramble about how you should marry for love. Tells you about his late wife and how much he loved her— it is so sweet I'm actually crying. That's the kind of love he wants you to have. You’ve got to reassure him that, “Yes, my certified father figure, I do love him very much and I’m not just in it for the money.” After that talk, he finds the relationship sweet but kind of concerning. Kalim is a nice boy but severely naive and, frankly, incompetent. Trein starts to go a little harder on Kalim in class, not that he was going easy anyway. He scrutinizes the essays he turns in and chastises him for missing an assignment. As he watches you kiss Kalim on the cheek after getting an A, Trein can only sigh and think, “He’s lucky he’s rich.”

jamil viper

Trein’s pretty okay with him. He’s a level-headed guy with passable grades and the title of a vice housewarden. However, the professor did hear about his Overblot and does think that there's more beneath the surface. He doesn't judge him for his Overblot, no. But Trein does keep a closer eye on him to make sure he isn't scheming anything involving you. The professor also tries to push him to do better academically. He’s heard from you about how smart Jamil truly is and can see his potential, so he tries to get him to stop holding back. Jamil is a little appreciative of it and respects Trein as your father figure, but still isn't a fan of sticking out. Nor does he plan on giving into Trein’s attempts.

epel felmier

Is fine with the relationship at first. He was polite, soft-spoken, and a part of Pomfiore. Most students belonging to that dorm are pompous, but respectful nonetheless. Then Epel’s true nature comes out and Trein is constantly reprimanding him for horseplay. It's kinda funny how surprised Trein is by Epel’s country toughness. The professor definitely had his suspicions— nobody at NRC is innocent, he’s learned every student here has some sort of dark side— but he definitely wouldn't have expected this. A part of Trein actually prefers him like this. You are dating someone with a backbone who will defend you. He encourages Epel to be himself around him, promising a judgment-free area. They get along pretty well surprisingly, with Trein being a sort of mentor to him. Overall, very sweet and Trein approves.

rook hunt

In the most blunt way possible, Trein tells you, “Your boyfriend weirds me out.” He thinks Rook is an oddball for sure. No way around it. Is half convinced Rook is stalking him. Because he is. When you explained to your boyfriend about the bond you had with Professor Trein, he got way too intrigued and ended up ‘watching’ Trein like he does to Leona. It's not until the professor makes a passing comment about being paranoid that he’s being watched that you realized, “Oh shit my boyfriends stalking you.” You don't say that to him— you don't want Rook getting in trouble. So you settle on having a really long talk with Rook about it who reassures you he’d never disturb your father figure or the absolutely beautiful bond between the two of you. He still worries you sometimes when he goes missing and randomly reappears by walking out of Trein’s classroom.

vil schoenheit

Trein worries that Vil won’t make the time for you. He’s aware that Schoenheit is a busy boy as he’s missed his class plentiful in the past. He’ll make Vil stay after class for a little to talk to him about it, giving him a fatherly warning about being ready to fully commit to a relationship and the time it takes to manage one. Vil is, admittedly, insulted that Trein doubts his ability to wholeheartedly love you but takes it in stride. He sees this as a sign to up his game in the romance department and properly does so, dedicating more time to pampering you. The professor expresses his concerns to his coworker, Crewel, who talks his ear off about how much of a “good pup” Vil is and that he won't disappoint. Trein can’t help but agree when he spots you walking into class looking more freshened with slight makeup on and a new hair-do that Vil definitely did for you.

Once you break the news to Trein, he immediately asks to meet with Idia one-on-one. The blue-haired student rarely shows up to class! And that iPad isn't going to cut it forever! He needs to be able to size him up in person. Idia, naturally, is scared to death. At first, he immediately declines, insisting that they don't really need to meet up, the whole idea is stupid, and it’ll be fine if he stays right there in his room. Then you sit down with him and tell him how important Trein is to you and… sigh You landed a natural 20 on the dice of persuasion. Idia can’t believe he's doing this. You’re beside him the whole time as he stutters in front of Trein. Is Trein impressed? No, not at all. Yet your confidence in the Shroud and constant praise is reassuring. The professor’s going to make you force Idia into showing up in person in class. His attendance rivals Leona's.

sebek zigvolt

Doesn't really care for Sebek despite the first year's desperate attempts at trying to impress him. Sebek lost him after he started talking about Malleus when Trein asked about you. Ever since then, it’s just been him trying to win him back to no prevail. Kinda sad to watch. He’ll be the biggest gentleman ever: rushing to doors to open them for Trein, scrubbing his whole classroom for him from top to bottom, and yelling at other students to be quiet— though he was pretty much doing that before you two even got together. But every time Sebek gets close to winning the professor’s favor, he ends up going on a tangent about how amazing his liege is, and we're back at square one. You’ve got to rub him on the back and kiss him on the cheek while telling him, “Trein will come around one day!” Even if that day never comes.

silver

Not a fan. He’s witnessed Silver fall asleep in his class one too many times and thinks it's disrespectful. Once you tell Silver, he’s upset as it's not exactly something he can change, but will put in extra effort not only in Trein’s class but in all his classes. He studies with you beside him so you can prevent him from falling asleep when you see him get all drowsy-eyed. Trein immediately takes note of Silver’s hard work and grit as the boy passes his class with flying colors while asking if there’s anything he could do to help him after hours. It's only when he hears from his fellow teachers that Silver has been doing exceptionally well is he actually impressed. Afterwards, Trein will start being more understanding of Silver’s constant sleeping. He won't be any less strict, but he won’t lay into him for it as hard as before since learning it's out of Silver’s control. Trein thinks rather positively of your relationship, comparing it to the ones in the fairytales.

lilia vanrouge

A bit disturbed, to say the least. Lilia is older than him after all. Trein tried to keep a close eye on the two of you, but Lilia always caught him and pursued a staring match. Trein was always the first to look away. Lilia finds it entertaining. He tries to play tiny tricks on the professor, but you stop him at the very last minute. You sit down and try to explain that you deeply care about Trein and, by extension, what Trein thinks of him. Lilia proceeded to suggest that he brings Trein some cookies to win him over to which you immediately say no. Honestly, I don’t see Trein really ever warming up to Lilia. He just pretends the old bat doesn't exist and isn't your boyfriend. Lilia finds that incredibly funny while you're dying inside.

malleus draconia

The fact you were able to get close to the Draconia is an impressive feat to Trein. However, future ruler of Briar Valley or not, he intends to make sure that Malleus treats you right. Right when you tell Malleus that Trein is basically your father, the fae goes straight to the professor, confesses to him about your relationship, and swears to take good care of you with this ominous tone. Trein isn’t very fond of Malleus at first, struggling to decipher whether or not that introduction was genuine. It isn't until you go to him after class, gushing about the late-night walk you went on with Malleus yesterday and shoving cute little polaroid photos in his face does Trein begin to trust the fae. He makes sure to scold you for not being asleep at that time, yes, but he stares at one of the photographs for way too long, imagining you and Malleus as him and his late wife for a moment. A small smile appears on his face. However, he can’t help but think that the two of you are down a similar path; the happiest marriage ever, kids, and one lover outliving the other. A tragedy, but he’ll let you enjoy it while it lasts just like he did. As long as you’re happy.

Thranduil

The Elven King prefers to sleep with his head on your chest or in the crook of your neck; he tells you that this is because he can only fall asleep when you are running your fingers through his hair, and this is true, but it is not his sole motive for this sleeping position - in his mind, sleeping on top of you provides you with added security against any potential attack. While he isnt paranoid about this, he is protective of you, and if he can provide you with further safety in any circumstance, he will. Thranduil believes that by lying on top of you, any attacker would quite literally have to go through him before they could get to you, and he is by no means against saving your life by sacrificing his own. He would rather you not know this, because if you did, you would not allow him to sleep on top of you ever again, but in truth, your motivations for wanting to sleep on him are the same. Considering he’s around 6’10”, he is considerably taller than you, and his body smothers yours in a way that is beyond comforting. Thranduil enjoys listening to your heartbeat, it soothes him greatly to feel you so close to him, to hear the very essence of your life force, and he has done well to attune himself to the beat of your heart; so much so, that he will often tease you by kissing your neck in order to feel your heart splutter frantically. Elves do not have much of a need for sleep, but this is not to say that they do not enjoy sleeping, and when it comes to the act of slumber, there is no better place to sleep than in the arms of a King who loves you.

Legolas

Physical affection and various forms of intimacy are all unexplored areas for this Elf, and it will be up to you to introduce him to those when the two of you are ready. At first, falling asleep with Legolas is a little awkward, given that he is fully alert and his entire body rigid, because he doesnt quite know what to do with himself. He lies awake, watching your sleeping head rise and fall on his chest with a look of bewildered love in his eyes. After a few hours, he slowly wraps his arms around you, and in your sleep, you smile. Your reaction causes Legolas’ heart to skip a beat, and he is once again unsure of what to do next. He does not sleep that night, instead stays conscious and studies your sleeping movements, trying to learn the habits of your subconscious so that he can adjust himself to them. Over time, Legolas becomes progressively more comfortable, and even manages to fall asleep himself. His movements with you are careful and calculated, never wanting to disturb you or cause you discomfort. Legolas knows how important sleep is in keeping up your strength and preserving your health, so he makes sure you get enough sleep each night, and if anyone’s presence threatens to wake you, Legolas will not hesitate to request their exit in a hushed whisper and perhaps an icy glare if they are deserving of it.

Frodo

Both during and after his adventures, Frodo is plagued by nightmares whenever he closes his eyes, and this has often resorted in him attempting to completely avoid sleep. More times than you can count, you have caught him desperately trying to keep his eyes open, his head lulling into unconsciousness for a fraction of a second before Frodo jerks himself awake again. It was during your time with him on his adventures, shortly after you’d met through the Fellowship requesting your assistance, that you offered your services to him. On the first occasion that you saw him trying to stay awake, you happened to be on watch, making you the only other member of the Fellowship that was awake with him. You recognised his struggle, the cause for his reluctance, and you sat down beside him, causing him to jump in surprise because he had been so focussed on keeping his eyes open that he hadnt seen you move. You wrapped an arm around his shoulders and pulled him into your side, he naturally curled into you, but the poor hobbit was overcome with awkward hesitance. He smiled, feeling a warmth spread through his chest at your comforting gesture, and after a short conversation in which you promised to protect him in the land of dreams, Frodo allowed himself to drift into sleep. From that moment on, you were at his side the moment he showed signs of tiring, and throughout his adventures you were the only being that could calm his tormented soul into a peaceful slumber. He would either be tucked into your side, or resting his head on your chest, whatever position felt most comfortable each night, but always with your arms around him, and always with a soft smile on both of your faces. He wouldnt dare tell you, but from the first night you held him, you have appeared in his dreams and fought off all dark forces that swarmed him, and no existing words could express his gratitude for your existence.

Samwise

Samwise Gamgee’s shyness got the best of him around you for a long time, you merely mentioning the prospect of cuddling was enough to enflame his cheeks and expect a stuttered response, and after a little while you decided that its best not to voice these things with Sam. Instead, you choose to casually initiate them. Whether it be holding his hand while in discussion with others, kissing his cheek whenever you had to leave his side, or resting your head on his shoulder as you sit around a campfire with the Fellowship, your actions without explanation left Sam flustered, but not hesitant, because by surprising him, you showed him that these actions were perfectly alright. This extended to falling asleep with him, too. You started slow, pretending to be asleep and subtly snuggling up to him, just to judge his reaction. Apparently, when you’re asleep the idea of affection is far less daunting to Sam, because he was quick to pull you into his arms and place a kiss on your forehead, and you could feel the smile on his lips. Considering how well that went, you decided to open your eyes and kiss him, revealing that you had been mischeviously pretending to sleep the entire time. Sam chuckled and shook his head as he blushed, but he seemed at ease, and after that his hesitance towards affection all but evaporated into thin air. He will adapt to whatever sleeping position you find most comfortable each evening, but you know that his favourite sleeping positions involve your head on his chest with one of your hands in his hair, and the other held tightly in his hand, and unless either of you are wounded to the extent of that position being uncomfortable for you, you will almost definitely wake up in that position every morning.

Aragorn

-Once you walk away he sprints to Bilbo’s house for advice

-But frankly Bilbo is no use so he goes to his friends

-Merry suggests a picnic, Sam helps him make up a basket, and Pippin flips the coin he got from his bet with Merry

-Dresses in a casual outfit, but still nicer than usual. Probably something from Bilbo

-Day of, his friends are giving him a pre game pep talk. They are super serious too

-The date may be between you and Frodo, but they consider it a group project

-Gets a random burst of confidence when he knocks on your door, flowers in hand

-But when you open the door in a nice outfit his brain short circuits a bit and he is reminded of the situation

-Walking to the spot he picked out is pretty awkward

-Randomly blurts out stuff; “You look nice…I mean not that you don’t usually”

-His nerves are quite cute though

-He’s usually so smooth and good with his words so it feels special to be the person he gets flustered for

-By the river he would have set up a beautiful picnic

-I imagine hobbits have mastered the art of picnic

-He is observant so he knows all your favorite things

-Even little details; sandwiches cut into hearts which Sam didn’t tell Frodo about so his cheeks are bright red

-Let’s you carry the conversation, he just loves to listen to you talk

-He totally has the sweetest love eyes and you realize he’s always looked at you like that

-Once he gets over his initial nerves you guys spend hours talking and laughing

-Until Pippin falls out of the tree nearby

-“Oh uh, fancy seeing you here”

-The other two are totally not also in the tree…

-He walks you back to your door and you give him a kiss on the cheek

-Blushed to his ears
