Not to say I don't have criticisms of the other expansions, 'course I do, just feel like a lot of those criticisms are more so character-writing-centric (what they did to Ysayle, some of Yotsuyu's handling etc etc) whereas most of my Endwalker criticisms are moreso narrative-centric (for lack of a better way to put it?)? Which I think just stands out more in my mind (scratches my head)

I like ffxiv trial names because they're usually extremely spoiler free for who you're actually fighting even for some of the most plot-important fights (e.g. The Dark Inside, The Seat of Sacrifice); at worst they would only make sense in the like 10 minutes leading up to the trial once you've actually gotten a bit of context (I'm thinking Castrum Fluminis) (though even then it still tells you nothing about the trial itself, really just that something will happen). Except for this level 89 trial I'm going to be doing later like WOW I CANNOT be saying that title Okay

my unfinished endwalker opinion is that the first 1/3 has some of the funniest fucking shit ever put in a video game and then it's GO GO GO!!! BAD STUFF IS HAPPENING D: for the next 1/3 and then there's a bit where it really really lost me for a minute and then there's The Aitiascope which is some of the most emotional pingponging between "tearing up" and "nearly crying from laughing so badly" I've experienced in recent memory

in from the cold is some of the most fun ive had in this game so far but i do have to wonder if its a massive chekovs gun waiting to go off or if fandaniel did all that literally just for fun
