Most people I know had that one movie as a kid; that one movie that they would watch over and over and over to the resigned acceptance of their parents. Iβve always thought that movie says something about a person. What was your movie?

it's been a million years (eleven months) since I posted anything here - I'm alive and well but have been working on other projects, including a graphic novel that I think will appeal to enjoyers of Watson's Sketchbook (more information on that...later). To tide you over, here's a little pre-Reichenbach snippet, made on the theme of 'Home' for the Very Sincerely Yours zine @very-sincerely-yours-zine - thank you for asking me to participate! It looks like copies of the full zine are sold out but PDFs are available here!
"i get a little bit genghis khan" was such a strange and delightful thing to say in a pop song
my most Millennial trait is that i want big screen to think properly. to compose my thoughts. app exists for your thing but no website? bad bad bad not good for think, need big screen for think. i wrote this post on the small screen btw

deriding things as performative is anti third space
im sitting on a patio at my favorite cafe rn and im hand stitching them hem of a dress im working on. and i can see why someone would say im being performative by working on something like this in a public space. but frankly theres no element of that. i just want to work somewhere that isnt my apartment. i want to be in public, i wanna chat with strangers, i wanna see the world. itβs nice to hang out somewhere that isnt my home!
what i mean is when you say people are being performative you discourage them from doing shit they love in public. and thats no way to foster the world we want to see.
I too was condemned to be hanged and thought I would be. When you yourself have to go the same road, you must take your bearings of it.

whenever someone calls me and says they're from my bank or car loan company or whatever and asks me security questions, I always tell them "excuse me, you called me, how can you prove who you are" and every single time they act like it's the first time anyone's ever asked that, which absolutely boggles my mind. for the love of fuck please do not answer "security questions" when you didn't initiate the call, at least without making them answer a few first
Never give them your info!
I agree, never give your info in a call you didn't initiate. Phone numbers can be spoofed. They may actually sound like your bank or credit card company.
If you receive a call, hang up and call back using the phone number on their website. Explain that you received a call about X and if it's legit, they'll be able to tell you so. They're also not usually going to get mad if you say "I'm going to hang up and call you back." Scams will though. Because you won't be calling THEM back, you'll be alerting the bank someone is committing fraud in their name. So they'll get urgent about it. Ignore them and hang up. Call back on an actual line.
My friend was once nearly tricked by a scam when she said "I'll call you back to confirm it's legitimate" and they told her to go ahead. They seemed so understanding and in favour of the idea that she was fully prepared to continue the call because, well, surely an actual scammer would want her to stay on the line, right? So she might as well continue with the call
Fortunately she decided to hang up and call the number on the back of her card. The bank confirmed there were no issues with her account and that the call had been a scam
No matter how safe it seems, always hang up and call them yourself
this is fine :)

And the horse and the instructor are friends and he keeps dapping the horse up through the window. And the horse called you a bitch under his breath so quiet the driving instructor is trying to convince you that you must have misheard him but you didnt. and theres a roundabout coming up and the horse didnt indicate
