javadi to ogilvie btw
I do love that in Rohan culture, it seems that it's the custom for men to go out and fight and die heroically, and for women to honour their sacrifice by crying over their bodies or at their funerals. The men are to be brave, the woman to be loving. The men are to do great things. The women are to remember.
But in the film, whereas Eowyn's most iconic moment is her slaying of the Witch King, a great, heroic deed that cements her place in history, Eomer's most iconic moment is (arguably) his guttural scream when he sees Eowyn dead on the ground, dropping to his knees and cradling her to his chest.
Not only is Eowyn's most iconic moment a scene in which she takes on, by her culture's definition, the man's role, the most important role of a man, to die heroically, Eomer's most iconic moment is when he takes on the "woman's" role, to grieve.
I do love his "Death!" charge in the books so much, but because of this parallel between the siblings, I also love the film version where there is no battle for him to fight, no justice for him to wreak, there's nothing for him to do but cradle Eowyn to his chest and rock her back and forth.

how i sleep knowing javadi finally found her purpose, mel is reclaiming her identity outside of becca, santos let someone else in, langdon finally got to speak his mind to robby and be heard, whitaker is off somewhere funking it up with lil’ theo, digby is watching the fireworks with the er’s true diva, and robby saw a younger version of himself in baby jane and showed himself the kind of kindness he hasn’t been able to in years
the concept of James Ogilvie being secretly ripped is stuck in my brain

"it's bad writing to use italics" well then tell these characters to stop speaking in italics so often. their emphasis not mine
this is the dumbest thing I have ever made
I would also just like to point out for the people who are on al hashimi's neck for wanting two attendings on day shift. That they very deliberatly showed us the two night shift attendings working together and discussing how best to split the workload.
And you people wonder why all the people on night shift are so well adjusted.

there’s actually nothing i find more fun than writing these two
With the screencap / stills thing happening to Samira/Supriya it is irresponsible for people to continue championing the idea “Mohan was written out because her story ended.” It is obvious something happened and if you don’t acknowledge it because you’re afraid of looking “parasocial” or a “conspiracy theorist”, you are letting racism and discrimination pass by without a second thought.
