Buffy the Vampire Slayer is an insane show because the first 4 seasons as we experience them are technically no longer canon by season 5. To the characters, those first 4 seasons were different in ways that we will never get to see, which is such a wild storytelling choice that i am literally always thinking about

darla is honestly so much funnier if you never saw ATS, because she literally the first important character we meet on BTVS. she's a big deal by text and subtext yet she's kinda lame. she rocks school girl uniform and never change out of it, her hair is full of poor styling choices from 80s. she wants angel back, but not really. she's in a cult run by a motivational speaker bat, while being the smartest person in the room. she pulls out not one, but two guns, while being a natural predator. and then she's killed by angel so casually as if he wasn't obsessed with her for centuries. and after this we see her only in a couple of short historical flashbacks. skin? glowing. hair? stunning. bosom? popping. cunt? served. she turns angel by making him suck her blood of her tities which is simultaneously cringe, fun and hot. and in that she embodies perfectly the show she once had an honor to open.
