Ah, the beautiful and completely competent Lieutenant Uhura. We're at an interesting point in time in which a female character written in the 1960s is far more interesting, progressive, and solid than a good chunk of modern day media. I believe the term is, "Competency Porn," hehehe.

Lieutenant Uhura has fun, sings, teases Spock, has a great hairdo, has her nails done, and does her job well without snark.

Kind of a basic bitch portrait for Kirk, but mneh, sometimes ya gotta be a basic bitch! It was actually quite nice to do a classic Kirk pose here. Also nice to have fun with my color choices for the TOS portraits; TOS gives one a lot of leeway when it comes to lighting and color, huuhuu.

I've actually drawn Kirk once before...long ago, in the before times. I wonder if I still have it deep in my files somewhere.

I love The Man Trap. It's a fun episode, plus it's one of the first episodes I remember watching as a little girl, so it'll always hold a special place in my heart.

Poor Salt Vampire... she shoulda just asked for some salt, Starfleet would have given her some!

Unlike her Red Eldritch Horror counterpart, I think this lady is a nice Eldritch Horror. Because she has a little caterpillar friend, and she just can't be evil if she has a little friend.

Her head was in need of stabilization, so rather than chopping it off as I have done for some in the past (some are beyond saving, so it's time to chop 'em), I decided to secure it. It became a part of her story while I was working on her: she lost her head at some point, but no matter, she simply reattached it. Her body is a mere shell after all--who knows what her real head looks like.

I got to make my eldest sister my slave again a little while ago, she is a master crochet-er, and thus there shall be Pikmin. So many Pikmin!

Pikmin is one of my absolute favorite games, so I'm really taking my time with the creation of these guys. They must be right! They must embody the Pikmin to the best of my ability!! And I believe I've achieved that; I adore how this flamboyant lady came together, she's beautiful.
