I'm going to post the final chapter of Nemesis tomorrow night and I am all sniffly about it. It started with the image of EricPorter!Soames waking up on a train and staggering back when he sees his youthful face reflected like a ghost in the window glass, and turned into the longest single fic I've ever written.

I'm not yet done with the fixit fic: one entire interlude story is ready to post as followup. I'll give that a week, and then post it. Then I have extensive notes for two more things that are in the initial outline stages.

I probably have more canonical emotional!whump and angst and emo hurt/comfort to write before I've finished scratching this very long-lived itch. Mostly I think I'm happy I decided to write for this fandom without worrying (too much) about whether anybody would want to read it. The handful of you who did want it, really wanted it. And that's more than enough <3
