Yeah Yumi gets barely any screen time, it’s a damn shame. She’s not in og hellsing at all, her and Heinkel were introduced into the manga too late in the game. All the additional info we have on her character comes from the Crossfire manga, which was a side story thing that was published as a bonus alongside hellsing manga releases. It got three chapters before Hirano dropped the idea because it was too much work lmao. Crossfire is stated to sort of be canon, which I think most people assume to mean only the parts with Heinkel and Yumi are canon. There’s a prototype Anderson present in it whose role DRASTICALLY differs from what he ended up being in hellsing.

We do know Yumiko is still canon to the hellsing universe despite never showing up in the main story because of a joke panel Hirano made in the manga and because hellsing ultimate development pictures show they had a design for Yumiko developed Just In Case.
