POV: you play professional hockey for the colorado avalanche. you’ve worked hard all season. surely you deserve a midnight snack. something to reward yourself. something that isn’t in your diet plan. there’s no way he will ever find out, you tell yourself. as you reach for a bag of chips, thunder rumbles in the distance and a flash of lightning illuminates the figure standing outside your kitchen window. slowly, you turn to face it. it’s him. it’s Nathan MacKinnon. you find yourself frozen with terror, rooted to the spot. there’s nowhere to go. nowhere to hide. he knows. you don’t know how, but he knows.
