I feel like if my first experience with Criminal Minds was Evolution, I would only see them as a boss and an employee with some mutual respect for each other.

Idk, they haven’t let Emily be anything but professional in Evolution. She doesn’t get any backstory or any out of the office things like everyone else. They threw in something about Andrew and her breaking up three seasons after it happened. She drinks in her office alone while trying to do the work of two jobs. It doesn’t leave a lot of time to be close to anyone.

It's just hard to know whether or not Emily distancing herself is an intentional bit of character development that will get resolved or if this is simply a consequence of having a large ensemble and only 10 episodes to tell a story. Maybe it's a little bit of both.

Can I just say I am loving the amount of Garvez they included in this!
