I do think it was really funny to set up a huge cliffhanger in the last 30 seconds of one episode with a big character moment with potential for large conflict and then start the next episode like a week later

I think Breen Frazier said in a his pre-season interview that episode 7 has a big call back to something from the CBS series; Some peice of Criminal Minds lore that has been unadressed will be addressed. I have no idea what that means but it makes me excited!

My first thought was something with Gideon because there seems to be a lot of Rossi in the promo images. But they've explored so much of Gideon's backstory already that I'm not sure what else there is left to cover, lol.

Ok like as much as I would love to see Luke defend Penelope in this moment….i kind of hope he’s pissed. Penelope and Luke have never actually been in conflict in a meaningful way. I would kind of like to see it. And even though I think Luke would understand where Penelope is coming from, I would like to see Luke act almost impulsively on these intense emotions with his recent losses compounding all these feelings. I could see him being angry with her decision and hurt that she didn’t give him any heads up. Penelope alone without him as a defender for the first time ever, Luke going home alone to an empty apartment without her comfort, eating a Tupperware lasagna she brought over last week…. I guess I just want both of them to be miserable and sad and alone because I’m a sadist and I love that shit

*waving the gun around concerningly* like can you imagine Luke just having to walk away from this next episode leaving Penelope to defend herself alone? I do wonder if her secretiveness is something that will irritate him…and as much as I would like him to defend her I would also like to hear her defend herself. Even better, what if he snaps at her for the first time ever??? How would she respond??!!

I 50/50 want this vs Luke just being her supportive rock in the face of Rossi's wrath lol I literally think I will be happy either way. But it would be so yummy if they had a fight about it and also perhaps got some admissions of feelings out in the course of this argument and then resolved their argument and made out 👍

Fanfic idea where Luke insists on driving Penelope home after the event of 19x06 because even though he's upset she didn't tell him about Voit, he doesn't want her to fall asleep at the wheel. And when they make it back to her place, they're both so physically and emotionally exhausted from the last few days that they end up falling asleep, cuddled up on the sofa together.
