the lack of Garcia, especially full body shots of her 2nd and 3rd outfits in 19x04 was disappointing. I had high hopes we'd get some sort of garvez scenes in said episode given that Adam was directing episode 4. At least we got a bts reel of Kirsten as Garcia in the third outfit in episode 4 but it's hard to tell if the 2nd outfit was a top or dress
Yes! We were robbed of seeing Garcia's blue and pink dress in all of its HD glory!
I didn't think we would get much Garvez this episode, although I assumed that with Adam directing, we wouldn't see much of Luke at all. I was surprised that we got as much of Luke as we did and was even more surprised to see less of Garcia.
notice how, out of all of the criminal minds men, luke alvez is the only one whose never done anything wrong ever and that’s why he is the only man to ever exist ever ever ever

There was not enough Penelope in this episode.
"If you bother Laura again, I won't like that. You hear me?"
Close enough, welcome back Luke "Reid will not get hurt in here again, or I'll make you suffer" Alvez!
Luke's "AHAH! Bringing the Outdoors to the Indoors," has gone triple platinum in my house. I've had that single line on a loop all week.
Finally a Tara Lewis appreciation video!! We needed this!!
"are criminal minds fans ready for connor storrie?"
yes, i'm sure we can handle the presence of another white man on our screens. next.

Thinking about how Penelope's eulogy at Will's funeral was there to emphasize Will's kindness and how good of a partner he was, not just because he loved JJ but because he loved her friends too.
Jump to episode 19x01 and we're reminded of that story by JJ and Penelope when they talk about "protecting precious things".
Jump again to 19x03, and here's Luke helping JJ bring her bags over to Penelope's and helping protect JJ's precious things (her kids) by providing them with happy memories.
I would normally say something like this was just a happy accident from the writers, but given that they go out of their way to remind us of Penelope's speech in the first episode of the season, it does feel more intentional. Luke is a parallel for Will. I don't mean that in the sense that they're setting him up with JJ, but rather they are going out of their way to highlight his kindness and the care he has for his friends which are the things that Penelope loved most about Will.
