lowk there is not enough hevel content out in this glorious world so i do not have much to work with.although i can say confidently that ion may or may not have a thing for nepobabies with hevel and lova being related to royalty..MAYBE they find comfort in ppl who r related to the aristocracy in their respective homelands because it reminds them of their life pre revolt in the churches which had basically become a new normal for him and therefore found comfort in the discomfort of being a courtesan. wow i actually just came up with ts on the spot iâm not even lying holy shit woah i am highkey a genius,,.
hevel is asexual in my hc to match with the original able being aroace/not thinking about love nor sex, which is fine because ion doesnât care about that kind of thing all that much and they pull enough that if they wants to fuh they can just go to someone elseđaside from that they r in a romantic relationship but itâs kinda on/off sometimes which is why hevel isnât mentioned in certain nĂ€lkĂ€ texts. hevel isnât in a relationship with any of the other klavigar but heâs very close with orok since they were both generals during the time of kalmaktama, and he and lova are also pretty close because lova will genuinely go anywhere ion goes #datclingyho â but all in all he was closest to ion because they were both halfblooded daevite and ion especially felt a lot of kinship just for that even though hevel hadnât experienced the discrimination of daevon firsthand (it was extremely difficult to come by half-daevites because most daevites would not want to have a child with someone who wasnât of the same ethnicity due to the deep seated bias prevelant in almost all of daevite society; adytum in particular was like breeding ground for all of daevonâs discriminations since it was the most populated city with multiple ruling matriarchs, and that was where ion grew up)
hevel joined the nĂ€lkĂ€ right before the establishment of the first nĂ€lkĂ€n states and died before kalmaktamaâs collapse; most of his best memories there were during kalmaktamaâs golden age (wiki says 1600 to 1200 bce but 1200 is when the war began so iâm gonna say like 1600-1400 was like the PEAK peak). he spoke very positively about edinnu and his family and qayin never told ion why hevel had died. ion was devastated upon finding out about his death and is convinced that it was their fault the lihakutâak didnât work and hevel couldnât be properly healed; it wasnt entirely their fault that the spell failed but a small portion of it was an error on their part (they were so upset and shocked at hevelâs death that they did not properly complete the spell because of how emotional the situation was, but this was not the main reason why it didnât work). on the other hand, hevel (after being reanimated) was heartbroken figuring out that ion had disappeared and threw himself into war and battles just to numb that; he is inherently a different and colder person after his death but a large majority of this coldness comes from his depression after ionâs fall. when qayin reminded him he hadnât done anything for the nĂ€lkĂ€, whom heâd thought were his people, his mental state declined even further.
ion and hevel were close enough for hevel to be crowned as klavigar but he didnât have the same grip on lihakutâak that the klavigar did so he was named volutaar instead; he doesnât mind this and takes pride in his title as the ozirmokâs volutaar, thinking it keeps him humble. ion is really glad about that because they would be slimed out otherwiseâŠ,
hevel speaks akkadian just like the original able (although i guess og able speaks SUMERIAN but sumer had been colonized and became the akkadian empire by the time of kalmaktama so it doesnât really make sense for him to speak sumerian I Think) and taught ion as well but makes fun of them bc their pronouncistion is really butt.đđđthey read the epic of gilgamesh together and fujo out sometimes (and nadox is there too but obviously he canât really talk all that muchâïž) ion knows a lot of akkadian swear words now because of hevel especially after veilfall and ion returned from the nevermeant because hevel became EVILđĄ
by the time of ionâs return and veilfall and all hevel is in a much better mental state and ion & saarn had broken him out of containment lol, together ion and hevel do a lot more for the nĂ€lkĂ€ and hevel hasnât had to regenerate his body (aka hasnât fucking Died) in a while. ion knows the truth about his death now and they both hate qayin (obviously a very biased interpretation of the real events and they would probably understand qayinâs side of the story as well but unfortunately neither of the two speak to him). awwwwwh so cute
