women are so disconnected from their sense of self. asking others permission to want things and wondering if their feelings are allowed. my wish for all women is to start feeling entitled to their lives, entitled to their material existance on this earth, entitled to all that comes with being human. it's a lot easier to stand up for yourself and not tolerate mistreatment when you turn "am I allowed to feel angry?" into a definitive statement of "I'm angry."

It's endlessly entertaining watching men perform what they think intelligence looks like--rattling off the names of Greek philosophers, drooling over the Roman empire, memorizing random bits of latin--while in the same breath showing umbearably poor comprehension skills and always lacking basic knowledge of the subjects they want to discuss.

People whose entire moral framework consists of "as long as it doesn't hurt anyone and everyone is consenting" are superficial and often do not understand what the "harm" and "consent" they speak of entail

I’m so used to my echo chamber that I forget that most people freak out when you criticize makeup . saw a silly post from a woman who doesn’t usually wear it but needs to for a wedding and she was putting it on while complaining about being pressured to do full glam and calling the products silly names and everyone is calling her a pickme or saying that she’s misogynistic for making fun of makeup while also claiming that she’s somehow humblebraggingggg will we ever be truly free

I do sorta wonder if women are likely to identify with so many labels and categories they perceive as "more marginalized" because the marginalization they experience as women already isn't taken seriously even in progressive spaces
