I made a thing! 💖🎬😎 I'm fixing to embark on my final semester of film school forever! Here is a compilation of some of my best work to date INCLUDING a sneak peek at my latest two films yet to be completed; 'Chicas Fritas' and 'Rosa's Esperanza'! What a journey the last decade has been for me. I've worked with so many amazing filmmakers and actors, I'm truly grateful for each and every singe experience and so proud of the amazing work we've accomplished together. I still have so much to learn and I hope the journey never ends! Thank you to everyone who helped make these films possible, love y'all!

Haven’t posted in a while, been hella busy with making #films and shooting a PILOT FOR THE #GreenLightHer screenwriting competition in #NY this past year! Check it OUT! I hope y’all enjoy it! I learned so much directing this awesome story about a mom working in the film biz chasing after her dream of being a screenwriter!

This past weekend my incredibly talented cast and crew and I made the most bada$$ film I've ever had the opportunity of writing/directing. Casting "Chicas Fritas," a vibrant coming-of-age story set in Corona, Queens, New York about a closeted-queer Latina high school graduate, named Sylvia, who wants nothing more than to escape her self-destructive mother, Cristina, and to win the heart of her friend, Maria.

Had a photo shoot while I revisited my roots in Texas. Love my home. 

Here's a historical look at the evolution of feminine products. This is an extremely interesting reflection on how societal views of menstruation have changed over the past century along side women's liberation. Yay for periods! <3

Second project for a class where we have to make a short film a week. This idea came from a lesson my parents would always preach to me growing up. It's helped me get through a lot of rough days. Huge thanks to my brilliant actress, Cherie Celeste Malone.

Some behind the scenes footage of my film #HideHerself, a short film that follows the day of a grief-stricken preteen girl and her father as they fail to communicate over an instance regarding the girl’s period. The young girl, having just lost her mother, is unaware of the changes taking place and is afraid to seek solace from her distant and mourning father. This story is a very natural and raw approach to start breaking apart the taboo surrounding menstruation. It is a simple observation of the reality in which this girl and her father exist and a reflection of what is experienced by half of the population, yet, is rarely cinematically documented in an honest and innocent way. It is a powerful comment on the lost human connections we face because of restrictions forced on us through gender binaries.

This is a small video promo for my integrated media class. It's a quick look at our trip to the Priya Shakti Augmented Reality Art Exhibit at City Lore in Manhattan. Priya Shakti: A mortal woman and the Goddess Parvati fight against gender-based sexual violence in India and around the world in this layered storytelling project and augmented reality comic book, supporting the movement against patriarchy, misogyny and indifference through love, creativity and solidarity.

My next film is called "Hide Herself".
