ADHD can make us feel very lonely. It can make us feel different.

When I was younger, in my teens, I felt chronically alone. Even when I was with people. I had friends, and I hung out with them.. but even when I was sitting besides them I would feel alone.

Now, I don’t feel lonely at all.. and here’s a thing, I have the same friends.

What changed? I learned to open up.

For me, and probably for a lot of people, due to certain experiences and/ or anxiety, we isolate ourselves for a fear of being rejected. Y’know, cause of the fucking RSD. 

Yes, ADHD can make socialization difficult, but for me, quite a lot of it was indeed me putting up walls, cause of my fear of being rejected. Breaking out of that and learning to put myself out there was important. 

I would also advise everyone to find and participate in a local ADHD support group if you can. The first time I went to one, I felt like a weight had been lifted off my chest. I could be myself around everyone.

think of how swearing and insults would be different in different cultures in your world. what would a dwarf find to be a grave insult that an elf would find baffling, or what would cloud monks find disgustingly profane or obscene vs. volcano witches

what domesticated animals do people have, and what is their use?

come up with the titles of books that exist in your world

what conspiracy theories are there in your world?

if you have a magic system, think of how people could use it to fuck with people or play pranks

what children’s stories or fairy tales are there, and if they are meant to teach some kind of lesson, what are they supposed to teach?

what doctrinal minutiae are your world’s religious scholars arguing about right now?

what do the members of different species of fantasy beings do for contraception? (It’s possible that their biology is different, which makes things more interesting)

bioluminescence: in what species can you find it, and what purpose does it serve?

for non-Earth worlds: constellations. what are people seeing up in the sky in different cultures?
