Just some things I like and will probably write for! -Honkai Star Rail

Something about Qifrey being a tree and Olruggio representing light and stars and comfort and everything Qifrey is not allowed to have.

Something about Olruggio being Qifreys sun, one able to live without the other. one whole dependent on the others existence.

Something about them being oh so like Icarus and the sun. How even on wax wings Qifrey will reach for what is oh so beautiful yet unreachable all the same.

ALSO THE PARALLEL OF THEM AND THE LEGEND

wdym a star(Olly) fell in love with a silverwood(Qifrey) and thats how the world has magic *SOB*

A small squeak left Castorice’s mouth as Ciphers soft lips engulfed her with a certain hunger one simply could not imagine. She tasted like smoke and the starry night above Aidonia. Like warmth and comfort and home.

Castorice melted into the kiss and let Cipher take the lead, their tongues dancing together in a well-rehearsed dance. One shy and wanting, one eager and confident.

A satisfied noise left Castorice’s mouth as fangs scraped over her tongue and a pair of reassuring hands wrapped around her waist pulling her impossibly closer. In response she let her own arms slide over the shoulders of her oh so familiar lover.

“Cipher…” Castorice said in a lightly admonishing tone once they broke away for air. Though any effect was mitigated by her ragged breathing and flushed cheeks.

The wooden door swung open, accompanied by the soft creaking noise of old hinges and a fluffy head of white hair peeking its way into the room. It was well late into the night, a small pyreball and starlight the only thing illuminating the room. It was that time of night when the atelier was soundless, as if no one lived there at all.

Olruggio sat hunched over his desk, legs tangled in a position that looked wildly uncomfortable. “Can’t sleep?” he asked, not needing to look up from his work to know who it is. Only one pair of footsteps would come awkwardly shuffling through his door in the dead of night.

Qifrey tilted his head, looking over the work on Olruggio’s desk, “I was just wondering what’s been keeping you so busy lately.”

Olruggio couldn’t help the small sigh that escaped his lips at this answer. Of course he would say that, completely ignore the question like always. Like he Olly isn’t worried about Qifrey’s recent string of sleepless nights. Like he isn’t hyperaware of how terrible his best friend has been at taking care of himself lately.

“What’s that sigh for Olly?” Qifrey looked down at him with a playful glint in his eye but right behind it was this ever-present sadness swirling gently like the tide.

“oh, uh it’s nothin’” Olriggio looks away from his work and rests his chin in his hands, “I guess I just wish I could do more y’know?” ‘for you’ he adds on in his head.

Qifrey gave him a look that he couldn’t quite decipher, something between worry and longing, as he picked up one of the snug stones off his desk and looked at it carefully, a gentle smile caressing his features, an expression Olruggio always found particularly adorable on the other.

“Come now Olruggio, there is such kindness in your magic and in everything you do. I’d certainly argue that you are already doing so much for the good of the world. More than most surely.”

A soft silence filled the space between them as thoughts piled into Olruggio’s head, ‘no its not kindness; far from it in fact.’

“Go get some rest Qif.” Olly turned away from his friend, unable to stand looking in his eye anymore, especially not with that smile on his face.

He’s sure Qifrey says something more before leaving the room but he’s much to lost in his own mind now. A gentle red tint adorning his cheeks. ‘Definitely not kindness. I just want you to look at me like that.’
