I need you folks who are going back to school to understand this, sleep deprivation is not something to be proud of. You are being fed capitalist propaganda to make you believe that working yourself to the bone is a good and smart business model from a young age. If all you do is “get 3 hours of sleep” because you’re studying, you’re just gonna burn out quicker, forget the information you’re trying to cram, and cause your brain to cannibalize itself.

Do not compete by making unhealthy habits. This will only fuck you up in the long run.

#I made it all the way through medical school and NEVER pulled an all nighter #even on my 24h shifts in residency I have found a way to get some rest #there is no benefit to not sleeping #sure some days you will be up a bit later and be tired the next day #but never make it a habit and never let others convince you that regularly not sleeping for the sake of an education is okay or normal

One of the most ridiculous things about the show Merlin is that you meet this absolute twink and this absolute jock and you're like 'oh cool the classic brains vs brawns'

But then you get into the show, and you realize that actually no. Both of these men are ridiculously overpowered and ready to fight at a moment's notice but neither one of them has a singular brain cell.
