I do not feel very ideal right now

Mustang is an Atoner figure. Something that plagues Atoner figures is when writers are too precious about the characters we're meant to like to actually let them be guilty of something serious.

The Atoner might be trying to make amends for their involvement in the Great '87 Hotel Massacre, and then three seasons in you find out what happened. And it's like, "I drove a taxi to the hotel, and the KILLER was in it! I ferried the killer to the hotel! That makes me responsible, and now I must atone for being nearby while the killings took place! And also vanquish the real killer who is the villain for this season."

Or maybe the Atoner did do the killings but they were under mind control the whole time and would never, ever have done it in their right mind.

But FMA said no. Mustang, Hawkeye, Hughes, even Armstrong to an extent though he suffered a breakdown and fled during it. They did that shit. They followed their orders and they did that shit. And it haunts them.

Roy did that shit. And his atonement, his grand ambition, is to see everyone responsible for that shit brought to justice for their crimes. Including himself.

They just hate that it's not THEIR version of AMERICA which is one reason they like Russia China and Iran is because gosh darn it look at how they made THEIR version/vision of their country. Gosh if only we, could do that here in BAD America and get rid of the people making BAD America bad for these reasons, we'd be so much better off.

We should strong arm our way into copying these STRONG GOOD Countries cause America is BAD, and it'll be better when we're in power and can do anything we want to make AMERICA Good in the way we want it to be.

Like gonna be honest, I don't think the far ends of the political factions would want America to just collapse, even as much as some people seem to chant it cause hello fucko, you're in the splash zone.

But I do think most of them would very VERY much like to be able to suddenly control just HOW America does things and get rid of anyone in their way. Because they're bad for this or that reason that's ruining everything, surely.

Again that's probably why they actually like these sole party/person countries for the fact they want to BE just like them and march all the people in line to their whim... or to the wall.

I saw a modern day pogrom in one of the most progressive cities in the US. I went to a Jewish fundraiser for StandWithUs in downtown Seattle Sunday night expecting something simple: time with my family, some kosher food, and a chance to support an organization that fights antisemitism.

Instead, we walked into a hostile mob that was shouting, screaming, and hurling slurs.

This wasn’t some peaceful protest. This was a coordinated effort by pro-Hamas, Antifa, and communist activists who deliberately exposed the location of a Jewish event and showed up to shut it down. The media may want to soften that reality, but the activists themselves didn’t hide who they were. They wore the symbols, shouted the slogans, and made their intentions clear.

Organizers tried to keep the location confidential, but Antifa influencer Hannah Saunders of Through The Static, encouraged activists to register, get the location, then publicize it so protesters could mobilize. Activist networks, including the American Party of Labor Puget Sound Division and the Puget Sound Workers League, urged supporters to confront Miss Israel 2021 Noa Cochva, using inflammatory rhetoric and encouraging turnout.

By the time my wife, daughter, and I arrived at Town Hall, the situation had already deteriorated. About 75 radicals had gathered outside the venue. Many wore keffiyehs and waved Palestinian flags while blocking access points to the venue, including the parking and valet areas. Valet workers had reportedly abandoned their posts out of fear. As we approached, we could hear chanting and screaming echoing through downtown. Protesters blocked entrances, smeared fake blood across the ground, and hurled slurs at attendees.

At one point, someone made a throat-slashing gesture toward our car.

This was outside an event with about 300 attendees focused on combating antisemitism.

And we’re supposed to pretend that what’s happening here has nothing to do with antisemitism?

Eventually, Seattle police stepped in. Officers pushed through the crowd to create a path so people could enter and exit safely. It didn’t take long before activists began shoving officers. Arrests followed. Three individuals were arrested. The action was led by pro-Hamas, Antifa and communist activists who blocked entrances, harassed and assaulted Jewish attendees, then scuffled with police.  One of them repeatedly blocked traffic, ignored ordered to leave the road, and disrupted traffic to write chalk slogans on the street. He was in violation of traffic and pedestrian laws, was repeatedly warned to stop, and did it anyway. Officers had to create a pathway into the building to protect people from the violent mob. One of the activists pushed an officer and a struggle ensued, though the activist later denied it. 

I’m grateful to the officers who stepped in. They protected families under chaotic conditions and restored some level of order.

But here’s the problem: days later, we learn that the individuals arrested that night were released, with prosecutors citing a lack of evidence. They were not charged and by Tuesday they had already been released.

That raises serious questions. Was evidence not properly collected or submitted? Or are prosecutors once again declining to act?

Because this isn’t an isolated incident. We’ve seen a pattern in King County; disruptive, sometimes violent protests followed by little to no accountability. When there are no consequences, the message is clear: keep going.

This Tumblr post is the first time someone has explained to me *why* I couldn’t feed them before those instances.

every single time i have had to say, "i understand that if he had food or water, he could aspirate it into his lungs under anesthesia. i am not lying to you." THEN someone would make a little note and i would stop being repeatedly asked.

not a single time was that risk explained to me. the only reason it came up was because i already knew. i still don't understand why it isn't standard pre-op counseling or pre-op check information, when me as a parent acknowledging the actual risk also put THE MEDICAL STAFF at ease because i conveyed that i had informed understanding as reason to not lie about giving my kid food.

The usa is going back to básica in the govt propaganda.

Remember kids, this movie is GOVERNMENT STATE PROPAGANDA. the usa came in LAST in the war, and dday was an essential part of OPERATION PAPERCLIP!!!!!

like I know that the defense attorney is morally obligated to defend their client in any way they can, so they were not morally wrong to offer this defense. but man when that's the best you can offer you gotta know you're just cooked.
