I think one of the biggest issues I keep running into with people who call themselves leftists is that when they've done no work whatsoever to really understand mental illness and madness and they have a hyperfocus on the morality of people's actions. These two factors together basically turns all mental illness more impactful to others than just lying in bed feeling sad into a deliberate choice to be a scary, dangerous, violent or antisocial person
