Thinking some more about Unicorn's visualisations... having to design something which speaks to early-00s mainstream pop culture sensibilities. i think i've put too much of myself into this to hit the mark, but the main idea is that we have a design which is supposed to appeal to women and girls while not being alienating to men (did not achieve that i think, but we are staying away from pink shades and going for a space theme rather than a rainbows-and-fairies theme), which is very conscious that this is A Male Unicorn so it must show him having a beard and a 90s centre part hairstyle and stoic expression while he's also prancing beautifully around in space. It also has to be extremely skinny.
