Yeah I should’ve clarified (pun intended). They had glass in the ancient world especially in Rome and Egypt but it was basically super heated sand and color additives put in a mold and often looked opaque and kinda lumpy. Even if it was blown like it was in some regions it wouldn’t have looked like modern glass.

Clear blown glass like you’d see a modern scented candle contained in wasn’t invented until the late Middle Ages and certainly wasn’t mass produced until the 1500s and even then places like Venice that had knowledge of these techniques literally forbid their glassmakers from leaving their city or region so other people couldn’t make it, forcing artificial scarcity and making it a very expensive material.

The white men that did this have billions in generational wealth while my mother and grandmother both died from having inadequate healthcare.

When I say fuck mormon missionaries, I mean it so deeply and if I were capable of feeling hatred, it would be at that entire establishment.

First meetings

I love that I can help her through rough patches and when she's sick, I love hearing her talk about the new music she's found, or the movies she wants us to watch together and I love her laugh and voice soso much!

I love waking up hours before her and getting to see her sososo peaceful. I love being able to fall asleep in her arms, and I love how safe and loved she makes me feel!

Her tummy is sosososo pretty, her smile is soso beautiful, and her hugs are sososo warm <33

I'm soso grateful to be in a relationship with her, to just have her in my life

I love that she's able to let me know how to help her properly if she's having a bad day, it means a lot to be able to help her!

I love when she's asleep on my shoulder and I get to whisper all this to her whilst she's sleeping, and I love getting to say it to her face when she wakes up

I'm not sure if that's the best way of putting, but we've had pretty big conversations that have never needed to devolve into arguments. Even the ones that end with us hugging and crying feel really good to have had! I never feel like I can't understand her

God knows I've not been through even half the shit she has, but I'm sososo glad I can help her through rough times when things flare up

I'm so glad she can ask for help from me or her other partner too! It means a lot, being able to help her, and knowing she has someone there for her if I can't be.

When she's talking or laughing or humming or just making random noises, there's something about it which is just so soothing to hear

It's sosososo lovely to just be in earshot when she's talking to herself whilst playing games or doing a job round the flat and hearing her talk and sing to herselves

And I love how less insecure she's made me of my own voice, complementing my laugh, my lack of volume control, even when she reminds me to quiet down hehehehe

I know I've said it before on this thread but being with her makes me feel sososo comfy in my own skin, and loved

The little messages and posts she sends me throughout the day, including the porn she seems to send exclusively whilst I'm ON SHIFT

I love this little way of letting me know she's doing ok, it's reassuring every time I get a ping from her, even if things aren't good, I'll get a text saying she's with someone who's helping her, or on occasion one of her alters!
