Just Breathe

I just need to vent. My Mum. She is divorced, so she is allowed to date whomever she wants to. But, she brings all these men home, when I'm home. Men that I've never met. It just rubs me the wrong way. When I brought it up her, trying to be polite, & telling her that I don't feel comfortable with her bringing all these different men home whom I don't know, she got defensive & thought I was trying to make her out to be a whore or something.... I'm just still very cautious when in the presence of men. I don't trust men. I still flinch when someone raises their hand around me... I just don't know how to get it across to her that I literally feel unsafe with a man in the house. We don't talk about what happened. We never bring it up, & I'm not about to tell my Mum: "I don't want you to bring men home because I feel like I'm going to die." It's not fair to her, & it's not fair to me to bring HIM up after 6 years. I want her to be happy with whoever makes her happy. I just wish she'd think about how I feel about it, especially after expressing it to her. I don't want to meet a strange man in my own home. She got mad when I had said that to her; she emphasized that *she* knows them. But, that's not the point. I don't know them, & I feel unsafe, & I just hate it. I doubt anyone read this far, but, please, if you did, what should I do? I don't know how to make her understand.
