It was âMs. Frizzleâ and not âMrs. Frizzleâ because it was the 90s and the magic school bus lady couldnât marry her gf yet
THIS EXPLAINS SO MUCH
Okay but it is Mrs Frizzle now, now that marriage equality is a thing ye? <3
Okay y'all hereâs the thing. Ms Frizzle was voiced by Lily Tomlin, a lesbian. In the new show, sheâs being voiced by Kate McKinnon, also a lesbian.
Sheâs absolutely gay.
^ No heterosexual woman could be as powerful as Ms Frizzle
The best part: Kate McKinnon didnât replace Lily Tomlin as Ms. Frizzle. There are two Ms. Frizzles.
Lily Tomlin still voices the Original Friz, Valerie. Kate McKinnon voices her younger sister, Fiona Frizzle.
THEY ARE BOTH VOICED BY LESBIANS. Not just one, but two gay Ms. Frizzles! Adorable redheaded lesbian science teacher sisters!
Whatâs better than a magical lesbian?
TWO MAGICAL LESBIANS

reblog if you support unabashedly smutty fanfic
and the beautiful authors who give it to us. you are a treasure.Â
I canât properly express how happy it makes me to see all of the reblogs of this post on my dash!
Also, I wish there was a way to say, âhey, smutty/kinky writers, speak up so I can follow youâ without sounding like a  creeper in a trench coat trying to lure you into a dark alley.
Psst! Hey, you! Yeah, you! Smutty fic writer! I got some prime kudos in here. You want comments? I got yer comments right here! Hey, donât walk away! Wait, you on Patreon?â
reblogging with an open invitation to smut writers to self-rec!
I adore all the smut !
Fanfic and smut go together like peanut butter and jelly! Like tea and crumpets! Like an appendage and an orifice!
So, Iâm like. Weirdly torn between shyly raising my hand and going âmeâ and being like HERE IS AN ESSAY, I HAVE A LOT OF THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS ON THIS TOPIC.
But, really, what it comes down to is this: naked does not mean invalid. The things we do with our clothes off are just as important to our lives and emotions and relationships as the things we do with them on. And so much of our body image and representation gets policed, because of Puritan ideology masquerading as morality.
But demonizing sex, sexual pleasure, and the naked body, hiding it, instilling shame for it hurts everyone. It devalues sex workers. It makes it acceptable to direct scorn and even violence towards those sex workers, but also towards anyone with an âabnormalâ or âdeviantâ sex life, which translates to queer people, to the poly community, to kink. It hurts people with uteri, because we end up with the unhidable evidence of sex-having in the form of pregnancy, and then the policing and judgement ascends to new levels. Especially if youâre young.
It hurts people because, if bodies are bad, if which bodies we see and when and in what contexts is tightly controlled, people with bodies outside of the presented standard struggle with even more shame. It hurts disabled people, who donât get represented, whoâs bodies are desexualized when we have sexual orientations and needs and desires, too. It privileges the sexuality of certain races above others, trying to convince us that colour of your skin informs the content and quality of your fucking. It makes sex and sexuality this strange thing, with so many unwritten social rules and expectations that it is simultaneously everywhere and slightly taboo, so omnipresent and considered so universal that people on the ace spectrum arenât believed, are threatened with physical and sexual violence, dehumanized because weâve been taught that, while fucking is dirty, itâs also human.
I write sex scenes and deal with sex and sexuality in my fanfic AND my original work because all of those things matter. Because trying to carve out a space in which to inhabit my own sexuality as a queer, disabled woman is hard, and I know Iâm not the only one struggling. I do it to write myself back into a body that has experienced far too much violence, a body that too many others thought they had a right to for a plethora of reasons. I do it to remind myself on the bad days that this, these feelings and these wants, this flesh is MINE, and no one gets to take them from me. Everyone who tried? Fucking failed.
Writing good sex scenes is ridiculously hard, but I want the people who most need those truths up thereâthat sex is not the enemy, that sex workers are human and deserve respect, that bodily autonomy matters, that fucking is not dirty, that it might be life-affirming but it is not the proof our humanityâto walk away from my stories feeling seen. I am not perfect. I am still learning, and trying to figure out better ways to represent the groups I mentioned, especially if Iâm not part of them. I do my best to not speak over the people who know better than me about these issues, to listen, but also to remember that my voice matters, too.
(Apparently I dove into essay territory. Whoops?)
^^^ this my friend and sheâs amazing go writefollow her stories. Sometimes she lets me edit them and itâs such a privilege because her writing is so wholesome yet deals with such dark gritty topics đđđ

This whole thread is cool and wholesome.
Black Panther is the most feminist film of the MCU. Jot that down.
#itâs simple math #there is more than one woman with 3+ lines #multiple women had to actually work to memorize their dialogue because they had to speak several entire sentences #itâs already beat all the other marvel movies on that count alone (via @itreallyatemyhand)
Plus there were multiple scenes where the women spoke with each other and the conversations werenât throwaway or trivial they actually helped move the plot along.
And each woman in the movie got an entire character arc, none of which were about âgetting the guyâ
Also there were several women that worked behind the scenes such as the lead costume designer.
it passes the Bechtel test!!
I told this Joke to my extremely religious father and his first reply was âfunny but donât tell it to your motherâ
APPROPRIATE!!
TODAY IS THE ONLY DAY YOU CAN REBLOG THIS AND ITâLL MAKE SENSE
The Original Prankster
i cant believe americans on tv really say rock paper scissors like???? its paper scissors rock omg do u irl americans actually say rock paper scissors????
rb this with whether u say paper scissors rock or rock paper scissors
me normally: linguistic differences are so interesting and cool! I love hearing different dialectal variations.
me, reading âpaper, scissors, rockâ with my own two eyeballs: the lord is testing me
I learned it from a TV show as âpaper, scissors, rockâ but got conditioned into saying ârock, paper, scissorsâ at school. (Iâm Canadian btw.)
its like the hand thing! step one: clasp your hands together, weaving your fingers together. step two: do the same thing but with the opposite hand's thumb on top step three: freak out because one feels normal while the other feels wrong -feels like there should be a philosophical reference here but is too brain dead to make one-
The thing I hate most about depression is that it tricks you into thinking you donât have depression. It makes you think that nothing is wrong with you, that you just feel this way because you lack value as a person. Whether thatâs in your relationships, your academics, or a view of yourself, it makes you think you arenât good enough for any of that.
âItâs not the illness,â it says, âYou feel this way because itâs who you are.â
âMental illness is like fighting a war where the enemyâs strategy is to convince you that the war isnât actually happening.â
Me: I canât get out of bed today, what is wrong with me. Iâm so lazy and terrible and I am a huge flake and there has got to be something wrong with me. My brain: There is no war in Ba Sing Se.

I WILL NOT BE IGNORED
I want this sort of love
Hey guys!
Sorry for being sort of MIA. But hereâs a small life update: I went to Indianaâs 2018 comic con, and I met Nolan North!! (He has voiced numerous characters in video games. He played Spencer Hastingsâ dad in PLL, and voiced Nathan Drake in the Uncharted series.) While I was at the con, I picked up these two posters! They are so beautiful and I love them. They seriously heighten my zutara fix.
hey, you.
hey, yes, iâm talking to you. i know youâre probably scrolling right now but this post wont take too long to read.
i just wanted to give you a quick reminder that youâre beautiful. yes, i know what youâre thinking, wow what an idiot they cant even see me, but that isnât the case.
regardless of your looks, how long your hair is, how white your teeth are, how skinny you are, how tall you are, the colour of your skin, how big your butt is, you are beautiful. because youâve made it this far. you have gotten through every fucking day in this shitty universe, and you are here right now, looking at this post. you have survived heartbreak, sadness, loneliness, trauma, and just all the general ups and down of life, and you are alive right now to tell the tale of it. youâve pushed on through everything.
sometimes it doesnât seem like itâs worth it, like youâre worth it, but you are. one day, thatâll make sense. youâll be sitting somewhere nice, watching something, maybe someone, and youâll remember all of the things you had to get through, and itâll all make sense.Â
congratulate yourself on getting this far. itâs a big thing, yet youâve done it. if you ever feel like you arenât worth it, i want you to know that itâs all going to be okay. you impact so many peopleâs lives, and you are some peopleâs entire worlds. people love you, they look up to you, they admire you. donât give anyone the âlife would go on without meâ excuse, because you know it wouldnât. no one recovers from that.
you, my friend, are beautiful. dont you dare ever forget it.
