So today I tripped. Fell flat on my face, it was awful but ultimately harmless. My service dog, however, is trained to go get an adult if I have a seizure, and he assumed this was a seizure (were training him to do more to care for me, but we didn’t learn I had epilepsy until a year after we got him)

I went after him after I had dusten off my jeans and my ego, and I found him trying to get the attention of a very annoyed woman. She was swatting him away and telling him to go away. So I feel like I need to make this heads up

If a service dog without a person approaches you, it means the person is down and in need of help

I mean obviously it would have never even got greenlit post pandemic, what, a show that lasts 4 seasons with a complete story, so full of symbolism and long speeches it requires you to actually pay attention to what's going on? A show with no set morality with all its characters being some kind of Grey? In the age that all shows are made to be watchable while you are on your phone and that has the moral depth suitable for a toddler? Yeah it wouldn't have prospered at all.

But the thing is, it shouldnt have been greenlit back in 2014 either. That is something I've wondered a lot about and still wonder about today. Yeah ok the first season they could get away with, funky dark pirate show here to rival game of thrones yay! But then the second season rolled up with all its gayness and anti imperialism and long ass monologues. And as far as I know, no one was watching it. How did season 3 and 4 got greenlit? Especially with so many viewers dropping it after the flinthamilton reveal. I'm guessing it gave the network SOME money, money that probably wouldn't have happened if Starz was a streaming service. It flew so under the radar there is barely any official criticism of it, the rating in rating sites like rotten tomatoes is done by appraisal of like two people, the actors ask have the best performance of their lives and never got noticed.

One of the root problems of our society is a refusal or inability by media to articulate that all those “it’s gonna be an apocalypse” disasters were not disasters because we collectively did something about them.

The good news is this is actually quite correctable. I maintain my firm belief that we as humans are capable of solving almost all of our problems, when we decide to do so.

And I still think that’s going to happen. I don’t know when or how, but I do know that abandoning hope won’t help bring it about.

During the stop, Lorenzo had 3 coworkers with him in his truck who have all been taken into ICE custody.
