the umbrella term “adult content” is now being used to silence not only the illegal and other blatant ToS violations, but content created by users who make sure to cater to an audience appropriate to their work within the guidelines of the site. combining the honest work of people catering to a specific audience and the vile spam of illegal imagery and outbound phishing links is a crime in and of itself. tumblr is hurting careers and general states of living for some users who use this site as a platform to sell their services. it’s also stopping general users from enjoying perfectly safe and appropriate content.
