I'm so mad because students in Italy have been studying on Rosa Calzecchi Onesti's translation for decades!! Her translation is so well regarded it keeps being used in academia to this day and it's from the 60s!!! There have been dozens of other translations since then but we keep using that one !!!

(and also many other women published their translations both before and after her)

But anime and video game boob jiggling is like. The most uncanny valley shit I've ever seen nine times out of ten. You would think people this horny about tits would have actually looked at some but I guess not.

I used to be so incredibly pro-black and a huge supporter of BLM, because yeah i do still think that slavery was bad and that the way they were treated was horrible. I never saw them as lesser than me before.

Then i saw how fucking hypocritical they are, around that time i had moved to a new state with mostly black and mexican kids, me being one of the few white kids, and i was constantly bullied and harassed despite doing NOTHING to these people. Literally just walking down the hallways and if they didnt get what they wanted out of me theyd start a fight. And then i saw the "stop asian hate" movement get shut down and covered up because black people didnt like that asians were taking attention away from blm despite them both being movements about being affected by racism.

Over the years ive only seen more and more evidence of black people truly being a lesser form of human. Some are ok, personally i think that like how dome races became better, other races can become better than they are now, and the actually nice non racist black people im more willing to tolerate having in proper society as long as they can perform the bare minimum of social decency and get an education. It is so clear however that most black people and africans do not ever even want to get to that point.

And muslims.... Man middle easterners arent even that stupid, their fuck ass "religion" is though and that makes them so insufferable. I dont think they are that far off from white people but they are certainly held back by the most barbaric of "cultures" and "religion"

I like a lot of east asians though, i am actually in awe of most of their history and many of them arent pale like most europeans.

So yeah ive definitely opened my eyes about a lot of this shit. Some races are just worse than others. And i dont want to "love" the neighbors that want me dead for being white. I would actually be fine with black people existing if they could just... Behave appropriately and stop acting like cave men. They live in a society, its high time they learn to act like it or face deportation or DP tbh.

my mother was raised in a black neighborhood (shes a white woman, obviously), and she was bullied RELENTLESSLY for being white. yes, she had friends, but she tells me about the horrors she experienced all the way until COLLEGE. i love my mother, and i feel so much hatred towards the blacks that traumatized her in that way, i just cannot stand it. blacks hate white people nowadays more than we hated them back in the good old days. they hate us, they really, really hate us.

and black people still think theyre better than us, demanding reparations from people who never hurt them to begin with! “im black, which means all white people should bow to me, since white people owned slaves,” is such a retarded rhetoric. yes white people owned black slaves, duh, we know this, but modern blacks act like every single white person alive comes from a family who did! only the richest, most elite of white people owned slaves, it wasnt the average joe. also, black people owned slaves as well! wheres the hate for them? african american black supremacy has become such an issue and and sickens me, ive said this before.

i dont hate middle easterners in general, since i dont tend to hate people in general anyway, but islam. ISLAM. how are people still worshipping a child rapist? i could go on and on about this cuck for hours, but i dont want to be more rambly than i already have. i could say more but i don’t want this post to be extremely long, i’ll definitely keep this ask in mind for later posts.

Fairy tales aren't about saving yourself.

These aren't epic myths or heroic legends about the great warriors who slay every monster in their path because they're so awesome. Fairy tales are almost always about ordinary, even incompetent, people who get thrown into strange situations where they only succeed because of the help of others.

It's not a gendered thing. The boy who goes off to seek his fortune is usually the dim-witted third son whose older brothers are the strong, smart ones. The third son succeeds because he is kind to the magical helpers who then complete the tasks for him--and the exact same thing happens when a girl is the main character.

The characters in a fairy tale rarely succeed because they embrace their own strength and take their own path. Much more often, they are told step-by-step what to do, and they succeed because they obey--respecting the wisdom of others.

The core virtue of a fairy tale is not pride, but humility. It's not a story about the strong, but those who are weak, small, helpless. The people who can't do it all on their own, but can recognize the worth and wisdom of others.

most of these are important in making appealing posing in animation. you can absolutley convey a characters personality, background, what theyre thinking through posing, something I try to strive for everytime I start a pose! I think keeping that in the back of your mind as you make a pose can make the world a difference in how expressive it comes out.

Im quite practiced in the fundamentals of art so this can occupy more of my brain as I draw, which brings me to the second point part:

from an anatomy standpoint your best bet is learning muscle and bone structure and applying that to gestured life drawing. I personally believe thats the most effective way to learn. yes even with cartoon characters with rubber hose limbs, knowing the rules to know how to break them is very important.

I personally love anatomy, but I understand this can get so boring, try not to burn yourself out with it, you should always have some play with your studying. if anything at least do gesture drawings, it may seem like a lot of work but its very helpful in the long run.

Hello! I got a request on how I learned anatomy so well! Outside of the very basic "Just keep drawing and you'll get better advice" I thought I'd offer some tips and tricks I used to help me understand anatomy better as an artist!

I also realize I do things a bit unconventionally. I'm mostly self taught and I still struggle with art and youtube tutorials are my best friends, but I can also acknowledge my skill and how far I've come from when I first started drawing people all the way back in 2011.

I know I'm also bad at explaining things, so I'm very sorry if some of this is just incomprehensible lol. If anyone wants clarification on something or a more in depth tutorial on how I do something, let me know and I can try and be more detailed about certain parts of my process! But this bad boy was getting long enough, so I decided to end it.
