And I wanna further rant on why the whole "If we just put a gun to the politicians' heads 24/7 they'll behave and run the country right (AKA the way I want them to)" thing is so fucking stupid and yet another example of statist brainrot.

Because if this was what you genuinely thought was necessary, why do you need the politicians? If you've got someone with a gun making them behave and do their jobs right, why not just eliminate the politician and have the guy with the gun run the country?

Because for one, even in your fantasies you want to avoid responsibility and effort, and as long as the politician is still there he's still the one with the responsibility and effort of running the country (in your mind). And for two, even in your fantasies you know that either way the guy with the gun eventually (probably instantly) becomes just another politician and equally corrupt, but you're hoping he's corrupt on your behalf (just like you hope of the current politicians).
