Funny story: during playtesting for Bioshock Infinite, the beta testers were found to avoid certain methods of dispatching enemies, particularly using the grapple hook. When questioned about that, they said it was because killing someone that way made Elizabeth scream in horror, so the players were trying to avoid upsetting her.
