not to yap about campal again but. as a huge enjoyer of men suffering, i really like how their situation in ntn was in many ways worse for Palamedes. the eyeswap - Camilla had his eyes and i'm sure it was very uncanny but it was also a confirmation that his soul is safe in her, and she always had something that was his with her. Palamedes had her eyes so everytime he looked in the mirror he saw "me wearing you". nothing was his, he only saw Camilla's body being used and exploited by him. "i keep turning around to see you and there's nobody there" when Camilla turns around then she of course feels sad that he's not there but then she remembers he's in her. when Palamedes turns around he gets crushed by guilt because why is he looking for Camilla while literally puppeting her body. how could he forget.

I don’t totally agree that he was suffering more but I do love this

that's why i said "in many ways", because yeah, in general Camilla had it way worse, the whole situation was literally on her shoulders
