I’m here to recommend a book to all of my fellow Hozier fans! - The Unworthy (Las Indignas) by Agustina Bazterrica
It fucking has everything!!! Wasteland setting and crippled nature, only woman characters, cultlike situations and religious imaginery. Little spoiler : it even has a little digging up your lover from the ground scene so I’m just assuming the writer listens to Hozier too.
Really worth it!!!

kids have no concept of anything. i walked into my kindergarten class and one kid asked me what my name was. when i said miss jones, he said “i like that name. did you know i’m in love with you”
i asked my four year old cousin how old he thought i was going to be at my next birthday and he said 8. im 23
once i told a 6 year old that i had finished school and was doing “more school” [university] and she asked “why haven’t you found anyone to marry then”
We were at a museum and I was asking for the student discount and my nine year old cousin looks up at me with his eyes wide and says “wait you’re a STUDENT??”
I used to babysit these three kids and the eldest who was around 11 at the time was talking about how adults are boring and when I told him I was an adult he said, “That’s not true, you’re my age”
our aunt teaches and she has this story about a little girl who really was always pretty quiet in class and then on the final day of kindergarten she just up and stated ‘i’m all teached now. i don’t need to be teached anymore. i’m done of being teached.’
once when i was 19, I told my little cousin that i was 19 and she looked up at me with huge eyes and went, “Does that mean you don’t have to bring an adult with you to the pool?”
My 6 year old cousin saw me driving for the first time, looked up at him mom and said “does that mean she is married now?”
I watched my dad and my niece (3 at the time) arguing over a pair of pants and whether or not they were also a dress. My neice’s argument was that they were, in fact, also a dress because they were blue.
I asked the kids in my daycare class what they thought I should be for Halloween and this little boy goes, “ooh I know! A pickle! You’d be such a good pickle”
On the first day of class with my favorite student of all time, I said, “Are you okay? You look like you have a question.” And she looked me right in the eyes and said, tremulously,
“Can a piranha eat a stapler?”
One time I was working with a kid and he looked up at me and asked “Do you have a boy?” I had no idea what he was talking about, but I told him that I did not have any boys. He looked shocked and then deeply concerned and said “Well, you better hurry up and shave your arms so you can get married; August is next month!”
I was sitting on the floor with my 3yo niece and we were playing with her younger brother’s alphabet blocks and the O had an octopus on it. So I picked it up and asked her what it was.
“Octopus,” she said, all curls and smiles.
“And what kind of animal is an octopus?” I asked. I was looking for “fish” or “sea creature” but I would have accepted almost anything–”weird,” “gross,” even “slimy.” “Underwater” or “it lives in the ocean” would have also been acceptable.
She looks me right in the eye and says, happy as a clam, “It’s a cephalopod.”
I haven’t been the same since.
when my best friend’s niece was 4 years old, i told her me and her aunty (23 att) were planning to move in together and she started uncontrollably sobbing while saying “you are kids you need to live with parents” and demanded “you are going to live with my grannys forever, always, the whole schoolyear!”
What do we do with the confused emotions we have nowhere to put after a divisive season finale?
We put the themes into our university essays so we can continue to intellectualise our emotions yeeeees that’s correct…
I've been in a bit of an art funk lately, so I decided to do a little redraw of this piece from 2021.
good omens 3 spoilers!!!
how it started vs how it's going 💘
"could you hold this?" "could you sign this for me?"
closeups under the cut!

do not destroy the planet for old man yaoi
i understand people are hurting i really do but ai generated fanworks are not the answer
We need to talk about fandom's inability to accept endings
Listen, sometimes it's warranted (I'm looking at you, Supernatural 👀).
But more often than not, I find myself in a fandom that flips out about the ending of a show, despite the fact that the ending was genuinely well thought out and objectively effective in tying up the story.
It has happened to me multiple times that I finish a show and nod, thinking, "Yeah, this was a nice way to wrap it up." Then I go on TikTok or, especially guilty, Instagram, and what do I see? People in a frenzy, cyber-storming and harassing the creators, making mean-spirited rants about how the ending was trash and awful, and how dare they do this... And I'm just sitting there, like... huh?
And I think we desperately need to talk about this, but I don't have a long-format YouTube channel to analyze things, so Tumblr it is.
Mfs when the show about humanity and free will ends with a discussion of humanity and free will instead of just “and then they forgot all their trauma and didn’t gaf abt humans anymore cuz they had each other”
why the actual hell did michael not just destroy aziraphale's page at any point. why did he and crowley remain even after the entire book got burned. also s2 and 3 were supposedly planned as a whole but in s2 the book of life is implied to erase you from everyone's memories too. "you'll neve have existed" but all it does is kill you? where's the never existed bit.
Maybe it was my interpretation but I thought they remained bc they hold the book and eachother and therefore are part of what exists, but I realised that’s not explicit maybe?
is that not it??

I tend to forget everyone in my family has ADHD and then go for lunch with them and have extreme sensory overload for the next week
Reflection on the Season 3 ending
There seem to be two interpretations of the Season 3 ending.
People who hated the ending seem to see it this way:
The love between our boys turned out not to be enough. They never succeeded in being together as themselves, with all their history and experiences. They never succeeded in DISMANTLING the oppressive system. Instead, they had to destroy the universe along with themselves, all people, and all other beings. Their versions could be together only because they were freed from their circumstances, bad memories, and traumatic experiences.
This is not a happy story. It is depressing. It tells you that you cannot succesfully stood up to opressive system, and you cannot find happiness while carrying trauma from your past.
[This is how I have been reading it, if you want to know.] People who loved the ending seem to see it this way:
The love between our boys turned out to be enough. They succeeded in DESTROYING the oppressive system. Their versions, finally freed from their circumstances, bad memories, and trauma, could finally find peace and be together.
This is a happy story. A “love conquers all” kind of ending, even against a literal omnipotent god.
The thing is, I believe that both interpretations are valid, and maybe it is time we acknowledge that. A slightly sad part is that I don't think one group can ever convince the other, because we are looking at the same story but interpreting it differently, probably because of our experiences. For this reason, people are now throwing insults at each other. This is very disappointing and heartbreaking. Fandom should be a happy place.
I have a final remark. It was to be expected that this ending would be polarizing, right? I am really surprised that this is the story we were given. [And no, do not tell me that it was the only possible ending. This is literally fiction. There were endless possibilities. I think even quite minor changes to the script would have made it less polarizing.] Sending love to both groups.
I love this post. I also really like the implications it has on different political views bc it’s quite pertinent in the current times and scenarios to really think through how we interpret our own roles in bigger issues.
I personally think the finale is brilliant and uplifting for committed revolutionary standpoints. At the beginning of the episode we have Aziraphale portray the most well intended but non effective reformist ideologies, while Crowley as a contrapoint is completely aware of the systems injustice yet hopeless and stepping aside. By the end, their sacrifice comes from understanding that their potential role in bringing change and a better system is bigger than their wants or needs and their story and even their existence. They don’t billy sacrifice themselves in hopes for better but actually make the change happen. The last scene with Asa and Anthony is, for me, the final proof that their sacrifice brought change even if its not their very souls that we see.
I have really enjoyed the finale as well as the whole series and of course all the discourse going on about it :))
