I know I am being parasocial but this attempted takedown of Hudson is genuinely making me feel sickkk. I think part of it is I also went to highschool in the same town he did and I understand the town and the town's culture more than most and it was (still is) a Conservative dominantly White Cowtown. Granted, there is a large, beautiful queer community and Normal, non racists in that town too so seeing it be labelled and written off by amer*cans like they're any better is so frustrating to me.

I'm gonna have to touch grass and be offline I think because watching the Internet do their usual thing of: Love someone so much they catapult them into stardom FAST only to then: Turn Around and Hate Them for every single thing/mistake/situation that wasn't their fault (cough Chappell Roan) is exhausting.

This show and fandom mean a lot to me but the Internet just SUCKS these days. It didn't used to be like this and I don't understand what changed in the last couple of years.
