had a dream last night that the hot new trek ship taking over tumblr was Julian/Janeway. 90% of the fan works were epistolary fic where Julian gets really into the idea of the doomed mission of voyager and sends Janeway fanmail once they re-establish contact, which rapidly turns into a steamy long-distance romance that brings them both much needed distraction from their respective spirals into depression and gives fans free reign to write Janeway going full cougar. and it was so hugely popular in my dream like every third post on the dash was about them

Aaaaaah Janeway and Bashir are two of my top three favourite characters in Trek, I don’t ship them at all but I would LOVE to read those imaginary fics. Also the couple generator gave me Harry Kim x Ezri Dax, and they would be a good secondary couple in these imaginary fics haha.
