Consider this:

Instead of arriving in Sky City, the portal takes Blaze Rods immediately to Two Moons. They find the message and decide to sneak into the mansion early, catching Cassie in the middle of preparing traps.

Using the Flint and Steel as leverage, Aiden suggests they work together. He will give her the flint and steel, if she helps him take revenge on Jesse.

(Not to kill them immediately. Get them in danger, so Aiden can sweep in and save them. Just to have the bragging rights of being the hero.)

Surely, she can try to kill him first. But unless she plans to kill all three of them at once, the others will reveal her crimes shortly after. So Cassie agrees.

What happens then, is a murder mystery where Jesse not only has to find out the murderer, but also the rest has to endure constant accusations from the Blaze Rods as well. Not to mention the tension between Lukas and his old friends.

Plus hey, having the Blaze Rods as collaborators could make the accusations towards Jesse and the gang more accurate and personal. Perhaps some fake evidence?
