lolita is a tough read because humbert has this seductive quality of being at once a deeply deplorable and dangerous man AND ALSO way too relatable at times for me specifically. that sucks! it feels really uncomfortable to be forced to relate to a horrible horrible guy. great book. recommend reading it for anyone who likes feeling like theyre being flayed alive (and can handle its themes)
