I am on a quest for answers. What animals suit William and montressor best? I think horse or eagle montressor would be funny but I am extremely lost on what will could be. Enlighten me, willtressor professional!

Anyways EXCELLENT QUESTION okay I have many thoughts on thisโฆ
Iโve always been partial to Will as a dog-coded character, especially after Montyโs flashback in 118. Specifically as a mutt โ it matches really well with who he is as a character, not really fitting into one person but instead a mashup of a bunch of personalities and traits/features. As a dog, I could see him as something really scruffy and unkempt, but really good at a specific job? This is the baby I have in mind:
Also bloodhounds. Mostly because of their melty faces ๐ค
BUT!
I could also see him as a chameleon of some sort? For obvious reasons. Also, the way they walk is just super funny to me and gives off all the Will vibes lmao ๐ซถOr also mockingbirds!! Like look at these babies:
Literally gorgeous. They can mimic sounds they hear and also have a protective call that sounds like rasping, which I feel weirdly fits with Will?? (I wonder whyโฆ*cough* episode 88 *cough*)
Anyways~
Montresor! Youโre definitely right with the eagle and horse, I feel like he could align with something very symbolically robust. To add on to that thought, I really like him as a goat, both because of his spectreโs eyes and because of how versatile their representation is. In a lot of cultures, goats are the ones sacrificed in religious ceremonies, which I think has a really interesting parallel with how Montresor seems to be the one who was blamed for everything that went wrong in the churchโฆthe scapeGOAT if you will. Ahahah. (Iโm sorry)

But because I have to match themโฆ Montresor also works as a dog, I think. @glowstickgoo did drawings of Annabelโs crew as dogs, and thus I subscribe to that gospelโฆMonty as a golden retriever mix lives rent-free in my brain ๐

At long last, Iโm back with more of the trash boys ๐ The prologue + first chapter of Dead Manโs Fiction: Yours Regardless is out now!
Just a few quick notes on what to expect:
- Part Two is not as canon-compliant: though all of the major plot points in the original WEBTOON are the same, Iโll be changing up a few of the smaller scenes with Will and Monty to continue some of the themes/storylines I built up in Part One!
- Updates will be a little bit slower: I get to study abroad this summer, so I will be BUSY but also still writing :) Iโll aim for a new chapter every week, Thursday/Friday.
- Also โ chapter art because itโs cute and I canโt help myself ๐
