HELLO so sorry it took a minute to get around to this, but good news I’m finally out of college 🙏🙏

Anyways EXCELLENT QUESTION okay I have many thoughts on this…

I’ve always been partial to Will as a dog-coded character, especially after Monty’s flashback in 118. Specifically as a mutt — it matches really well with who he is as a character, not really fitting into one person but instead a mashup of a bunch of personalities and traits/features. As a dog, I could see him as something really scruffy and unkempt, but really good at a specific job? This is the baby I have in mind:

Also bloodhounds. Mostly because of their melty faces 🤗

BUT!

I could also see him as a chameleon of some sort? For obvious reasons. Also, the way they walk is just super funny to me and gives off all the Will vibes lmao 🫶Or also mockingbirds!! Like look at these babies:

Literally gorgeous. They can mimic sounds they hear and also have a protective call that sounds like rasping, which I feel weirdly fits with Will?? (I wonder why…*cough* episode 88 *cough*)

Anyways~

Montresor! You’re definitely right with the eagle and horse, I feel like he could align with something very symbolically robust. To add on to that thought, I really like him as a goat, both because of his spectre’s eyes and because of how versatile their representation is. In a lot of cultures, goats are the ones sacrificed in religious ceremonies, which I think has a really interesting parallel with how Montresor seems to be the one who was blamed for everything that went wrong in the church…the scapeGOAT if you will. Ahahah. (I’m sorry)

^^ This one looked extra stupid so I decided it was perfect for Monty 💗

But because I have to match them… Montresor also works as a dog, I think. @glowstickgoo did drawings of Annabel’s crew as dogs, and thus I subscribe to that gospel…Monty as a golden retriever mix lives rent-free in my brain 🙏

Hello Willtresor nation~

At long last, I’m back with more of the trash boys 💗 The prologue + first chapter of Dead Man’s Fiction: Yours Regardless is out now!

Just a few quick notes on what to expect:

- Part Two is not as canon-compliant: though all of the major plot points in the original WEBTOON are the same, I’ll be changing up a few of the smaller scenes with Will and Monty to continue some of the themes/storylines I built up in Part One!

- Updates will be a little bit slower: I get to study abroad this summer, so I will be BUSY but also still writing :) I’ll aim for a new chapter every week, Thursday/Friday.

- Also — chapter art because it’s cute and I can’t help myself 🙌
