So we'll probably never see the real Will. There is no chance that Montresor saved the original. Not something that shocks me a lot at this stage but it's nice to have confirmation. I could say it's romantic in its own way to pick one Will out of a crowd of identical ones and tell him, "These guys are white with black stripes. You're black with white stripes.
Maybe Monty thought he had saved the original cause he said, "I made them." But on the other hand even if this Will really created the others, someone could have created him.
