any tips for developing discipline? ive been going through life on a lackadaisical hedonist build but ive got a bunch of mysterious problems that i may or may not be at fault for

i don't really want to weight in on the "using big words in your writing is ableist" discourse happening on tiktok because i'm like 90% certain it's an anti-intellectual psyop to stir up drama in online circles to promote the use of ai to summarize literally everything and thus feeding the LLMs and lowering the populace's mistrust of such tools but i also have to say: dictionaries and thesauruses are the most accessible they've ever been. if you use an e-reader of any kind you can look up a word without leaving the page. there's a plethora of online dictionaries and if you just type a word + "meaning" into google it'll usually give you a definition. we used to have pocket dictionaries we used when reading in class. i have two on my shelf right now that i used in high school. stop letting the fascists purposefully misuse anti-ableism rhetoric to trick you into never thinking again.

On the topic of fetish gear in public I think it is very telling when parents who are against it say "well how am I supposed to explain it to my kids??" Because it shows they aren't actually concerned about any psychological effects it will have on their kids (probably because they know seeing a guy in a pup mask will not lead to any negative psychological effects on any child because that's dumb), what they are concerned about is THEMSELVES. How am *I* going to explain that to my child (if they even ask). THEY don't want to have to have uncomfortable conversations with their kids, and they think it should be other people's responsibility to make sure they won't have to. But that's stupid! Uncomfortable conversations are part of parenting. And if you really don't want to explain it to your kid just lie. Say "oh they're just dressing up for fun honey". That isn't actually really a lie anyways. "But what if they keep asking???" I don't know man you're the parent! Figuring out what to say is your job! What do you do any other time your kid keeps asking questions you don't know the answer to/don't want to answer? Do what you do then. Either way not anyone else's responsibility

a small thing i learned from my sister dying is that i really would rather the people i love be a burden than be whatever the hell else they'd be if they weren't. yes even if it's messy and not always fair and hard completely inconvenient for everyone involved. even if it's weird. even if i'm rolling my eyes a bit inside sometimes. i just want you to bother me. please always bother me

like "it's rotten work" "not to me not if it's you" actually sometimes it's still rotten work. even if it's you. and i'd still do it a million times over

I love saying "cute..." about stuff. because a lot of stuff is cute...
