matching tridentarii tarot cards commissioned by @powerbottomblake my beloved <33333
It is noon on a Tuesday. You sit in a creaky wooden chair at a creaky wooden table. You reread an analysis of the creation of sovereign states in early modern europe. You decide you are ready. You start writing. It is half past noon on a Tuesday. You have written 300 words. You need a specific primary source to support your thesis. You swear you saw the perfect thing in the library database. It was not checked out. It is not on the shelf. You decide to continue writing without it. The sun is setting. You have written 350 words. You cannot possibly write another. You decide to take a break to do some reading instead. You see a collection of essays in the library database that will be perfect for your needs. You head into the stacks. You know right where you need to go. You hit a dead end. Has that dead end always been there? It must have been. Yes, of course it has. You leave the stacks empty handed. You sit down in a creaky wooden chair at a creaky wooden table. It is noon on a Wednesday.
âYou Cannot Touch Herâ Curse/Binding
This curse is particularly for people who have done harm in the past, and as such already known to be a potential threat. The idea is to keep the person from speaking to or approaching the one youâre trying to protect, and to make them feel watched and judged for their past actions.
You will need the following:
A jar big enough to hold a poppet
Some kind of poppet - I used a wooden one with the offenderâs name written on the bottom. A photo could also be used
White out
A black candle
A mixture of black salt & cayenne pepper
A sigil of your own design meaning âYou cannot touch [name or pronoun]â
A permanent marker
Light the candle and white out the mouth of your poppet. Roll the poppet in the mixture of black salt and cayenne pepper (black salt tends to stain so keep this in mind). Place it in the jar and seal the lid, leaving the poppet inside under the gaze of dozens of eyes. Write your sigil on the lid. During or after all of this, say the following aloud or think it to yourself (change pronouns accordingly):
You cannot touch her. You cannot speak to her. Think of her and bring this curse upon you. May your tongue catch in your throat if you dare to reach her. May you burn and ache if you come near. May you feel eyes upon your back each time you think her name. Theyâre watching. Iâm watching. May you forever question the gaze of others - Do they know the things youâve done? I do. I curse you. I bind you. You cannot touch her.
Stash the jar in a dark place, like a closet or a cabinet (I donât recommend burying jars). Let the candle burn until it extinguishes itself.

since international romani day is coming to a close iâd like to remind non-romani of a few things:
gypsy/gipsy is a slur, if youâre not romani itâs probably best u dont use it. while weâre at it, donât call us gippos either
gadje/gorger/gorja and any other variant word from any romanes dialect that means ânon-romaniâ is NOT a slur, and itâs most definitely not a slur towards white people specifically
youâre not a gypsy because you have a âfree spiritâ and wanderlust and wear flowy skirts. youâre not gypsy because you want to be one. if you are a gadje, you have no right to call yourself gypsy, full stop.
romani is not a fashion statement and weâre not here for your fetishization/romanticization/aesthetic (appreciating romani fashion and culture is fine. whatâs not fine is appropriation or pretending to be romani when youâre not.)
do not invalidate the racism romani people face. people donât even consider us human. i canât even tell you how many times iâve read comments and messages from people literally calling romani âsubhumanâ and meaning it. donât silence romani voices when they speak of the racism theyâve experienced
romani people are varied and diverse. some of us are white-passing, a lot arenât. lots of us are mixed, and when we are we can be any number of bi or even multi racial identities. we can be almost any religion or even atheistic, weâre all over the world, and we speak many languages (there are many, many dialects of romanes alone)
and lastly: we deserve to be respected as your fellow human beings
I donât really know what people generally call this method of sigil making, so Iâm just calling it âLetter Shapingâ because youâre using the basic shapes from certain letters. This is the most common form of sigil making, and it allows the most creative influence. As you see above the sigils are for nearly the same thing, yet the sigils came out completely different. Not because the purpose was different, but because I approached them both a different creative way, and thatâs what I like so much about this method. Thereâs a lot of freedom and personalization involved.
(UPDATE: Hereâs a link to a guide on how to deconstruct letters down to basic shapes)

College Witch Tips
Hey babes! Sorry Iâve been so inactive for awhile - Iâve been traveling, moving into my dorm, and settling into school life. That being said, Iâm back with some tips for all my college, university, or student witches out there!!
1. Practice Rooms: It can be hard to find a space to practice your magic, especially if youâre living in a dorm. For me, magic is pretty personal and I like to be myself when practicing. My solution to this is to go find your schoolâs music building, and find yourself a practice room! Pretty much any school with any kind of music program will have at least a hallway or two lined with small soundproof rooms. Theyâre meant for music students, but I love to use them as a space to meditate or do rituals where itâs a little more private. đŞ
2. Altars: Having an altar at school can also be difficult - dorms are crazy small! I dedicated a small section of my desk to be an altar space. I bought a little decorative box from target to put my tarot cards in, and I surrounded it with my crystals. This is subtle, effective, and looks just like cute decor. đ
3. Sigils:Â Draw them on your school supplies! Design a sigil for concentration or focus, and draw it in all of your notebooks. That way youâll have a bit of a magickal boost when you study. đ
4. Grounding:Â Let me tell you, it is super easy to get caught up with school and work and friends and lose track of your practice or just otherwise feel disconnected from the earth. Take the time to go for a grounding walk around your campus. Iâm lucky in that my school as a wildlife reserve right next to it, so I love to take breaks from studying by going for a walk by myself and focusing on grounding. Remind yourself that the earth is with you and supporting you, even when you feel adrift. đą
5. Coffee/Tea Magick: There are about a zillion posts out there with simple charms and rituals you can perform with your morning cup of coffee and tea that are great ways to incorporate magick into your life in a subtle way. A soothing cup of tea in the morning or evening is also a great way to check in with yourself and make sure that youâre doing alright. âď¸
Please let me know what you think of these tips and if there are any questions you have about being a practicing witch in college! My inbox is always open. Stay witchy! â¨â¨
Following witchcraft blogs is an absolute roulette wheel on whether you're following a TERF or not and I can't stand how many times it's happened to me. Reblog this if you're a witchcraft blog and aren't a TERF and I'll give you a follow! On this blog we love and respect trans women!
Random Witchy Story Time
A few years ago I was at a museum that had some old grimoires and alchemy books on display and translations to the pages posted by them. My favorite grimoire page was a spell for rain where the person would go outside with a bucket of water and pour it onto the ground, then proceed to pretty much yell at the clouds about âsee its not hard!â. To date that is my favorite rain spell I have ever seen.
Unsympathetic magic, or âshaming clouds until they stop slacking on their jobâ

â¨Yes/No Tarot tipsâ¨
Here are some ideas to help you answer those pesky Yes/No questions using Tarot. These are just ways that Iâve found work for me and Yes/No card interpretations that have always given me the answers I seek. Sometimes, this varies from reader to reader, so use this as a springboard to find out what works for you!Â
If you pull a Yes card in reverse, it could indicate a âYes, BUTâŚâ or a âYes, IFâŚâ. Youâll need to understand what each card means in reverse to determine the caveat for a reversed Yes card.Â
Pay attention to the positive meanings for each No card. Sometimes, things arenât as clear cut as a simple No. Sometimes, it becomes a âNo, butâŚâ and gives you clues about how you can change your No into a Yes.
If you pull a Maybe card, you can often get a feel for your options either way by drawing additional cards to go on either side. For example: Two of Swords is a Maybe card and often represents a difficult choice between two options. You can draw two cards to set on either side of this card that represent the two choices and their pros and cons.Â
