already seeing people complain about past dm not being like. explicitly confirmed but tbh how would that have made sense? armand is approaching daniel who is like a scared abandoned animal in the corner who won’t let anyone near him unless it’s on his terms. he will not hesitate to bite and claw and in fact he slammed armand into a wall during their last convo. armand is trying to reach out but he’s gotta be smart about it. daniel says “prove it” and armand makes it clear that he’s not all talk, that he really was watching him in all his melancholy rage throughout the years. daniel isn’t ready to hear armand say he loves him LET ALONE “hey so we actually had this relationship and you loved me too and we were in deep true love and we destroyed each other and i couldn’t let the memories stay so i took them from you and btw i’ve never stopped chasing you and i wanted you to have a normal life but no matter what i did it didn’t take away the black hole inside you it couldn’t. i couldn’t.” like sorry y’all but danny boy is NOT ready for that. we gotta let this shit unfold.

I feel like showing how little Armand had to actually do to get Larry to "rest" really highlighted how much Daniel resisted it and how hard he fought and that was what made him fascinating 😭

I actually love the Louis and Regina subplot because it really is a continuation of the way Louis has always treated women, as a source of emotional labour that he can throw money at and have them make him feel better. It’s Miss Lily all over again, it’s “paying a whore to sit in a room and talk with him”. Making Claudia was always about Louis’ feelings under the pretence of saving her from the fire. He wants to save Regina from poverty but it’s all to make himself feel better. She sees through him but she’s so broke that she can’t afford to say no

Also really interesting to me that Louis only proposes this after he finds out she does sex work. Like, I don't know if it's necessarily a conscious connection he's making, but he definitely feels like this is someone whose time can be bought. Just like Miss Lily's time could be bought...
