"You seek to destroy him?"
The words leave her mouth more bluntly than she meant them to, her nightgown feeling ever more restricting while her chest tightens
"No. To ruin him." The creature answered with a low rasp. His words so sure, eyes trained on the candle waving across the wooden room walls.
A quiet night of a dew like rain, had lead to this. To a creature in this small town on the border of frost and ice. In her home.
"One would argue that ruin and destroy are one in the same." She whispers, her hands still gripping the blunt kitchen knife with wavering intent.
"Perhaps. But perhaps it is the personal intent behind the word that makes it different. My intent to ruin, means that I wish him to breathe and witness. Witness every shred of life I pull from his mortal soul as it drifts into time. Time spent chasing me." The creature steps closer.
The floorboards creaking heavy beneath his robes and large body steps forward and out of the corner of darkness. Away from the window he'd slipped into.
His eyes watched hers, watching her step back in fear, watching that little spark of hesitation towards him, a stranger who broke into her home moments ago.
"He is days behind me, tracking my every step, my every hair and robe I shredded for him to follow. For this is my ruin. My only way to hurt my creator."
Her grip suddenly tigtens, her blade quick to pusg forward and stop his steps before her. Tho there was no intent to hurt, only protect herself.
The creatures head tilts as slow as the sun sets, his eye glinting in the flickering candle light again.
"Something strange hides in your eyes. I see fear. But not the kind I know." His words slow while his palm lifts slowly towards her.
His eyes not once leaving hers, studying. Watching her eyes drift between him and the blade.
Once her gaze lingers on his palm, he grabs. Strangling the knife with his blood seeping though flesh.
"Don't-" she shrieks, yanking away the blade and dropping it onto the ground.
The creature stills when she touched his palm, careful and seemingly from instinct. Just as quick, she pulls away. Her eyes finally shifting to an anger he knew. Towards him.
"Why would you do that!" She finally snarls. Yet still, the violence in those eyes were not ones he definitively knew, yet something similar.
"To defend." He responds, his palm still hovering in the air.
"That wasn't defense! That was self inflicted stupidity! You hurt yourself!" Her hands ball into fists, her lip quivering behind grounded teeth.
"You worry. Why?"
"Because such reckless hurt is unnecessary! Why cause yourself pain when I had no intention to hurt you! When I've done nothing to provoke or prove otherwise." Her barking words cause the candle to shift.
The creature glances down at his palm, watching it close back up in a moments notice. But hus lips curl into something not of the momemt. A smile.
He'd forgotten the meaning of pain. To him it had become a routine experience. And he heals quick enough to forget such trivial matters. But she...
He's careful to reach out to her again, luring a gasp from her as his fingertips graze her cheek.
... she knows unnecessary pain.
Its only when he pushes her hair back when he finds what he knew was already there. The marks of ruin. Someone elses ruin.
Little cuts hidden by hair. Little wounds inflicted by her "creator" so to speak.
"Tell me your name." His words blunt to reach her frightened eyes.
She swallowed carefully. Body frozen and slightly tilted away from his touch.
"Y/n."
A slow hum escapes his throat, a slow purr when he tests the syllables.
"Y.../n. Perhaps I will return here." He finally steps back, granting her a moment to breathe suddenly.
"Perhaps?" She managed the words while he turns his back to her, stepping towards her scarf hung around a chair.
"If my creator manages to grant me, my end, I will be free. But if I'm forever cursed onto this mortal plain. I will return to you."
He wraps the scarf around his neck and mouth, preparing to enter the cold dew and into the snow once more.
"You've eyes that don't fear me, but fear my hurt. You've a creator as I have mine. You've a soul I wish to learn." He pushes himself to a sit onto the windowsill, looking at her once more. Barefoot in her nightgown.
"Farewell, Y/n." A simple goodbye as he twists back into the snow. Foot prints imprinting back into those dusted in snow.
Y/n watched him run like a man driven with rage, had steps into the rising sun and beyond.
The creature will return.

What defines emotion? Scientifically it's the complex reaction pattern revolving around a subjective experience, physiological changes or expressive behavior.
If it's that simple, why is it so hard to feel?
Y/n L/n was diagnosed with schizoid personality disorder at a young age. Doctors said that her intellectual mind might be the cause of this disorder. Her mother called it a curse and scorned her for being a failure. A child too complex for her to love.
That is, well... Until they became the face of New York City.
The fantastic Four. Strong and intellectual in their own ways. Gifted with powers that made them different. Johnny with flame combustion, Sue with light wave manipulation, Ben with an unbreakable skin physiology and finally, Doctor Reed. A genius from the start with elasticity in his every move.
After that they arrived, Y/n suddenly became special. No more yelling, scolding or degrading. Just a delusional mother who seemed to be convinced that her daughter was secretly gifted like the Fantastic Four. Why else would she be so different from the others?
In the Baxter building, a dim lamp light shone onto the otherwise cluttered desk in the lab.
Y/n pushed the papers she'd completed aside. A few minor mathematical equations before typing out on the round blue computer infront of her.
Not that Reed couldn't do it himself, but it was work too trivial to him and too hard for anyone other than Y/n. So Y/n, being his intern, gladly accepted the smaller matters so he could focus on the bigger ones. Saving the world and all that.
"I thought I told you to go home." His voice bounces off the tall, black board covered, walls.
Y/n looks up from the lamp light, her eyes adjusting to Reed in the late night darkness of the doorway.
"Finishing a few calculations before tomorrow's testing sir." She answers. Looking back at the papers and pushing them back together in a pile.
Reed steps closer before leaning back on the desk beside her.
"Ah... Yes, I suppose that would save some time. Testing could take all day. Good thinking." he agreed, giving his nose bridge a stiff pinch.
Y/n felt the shift in the air. The familiar tension that usually came from Reed after a fight with Sue.
She looks him over, slowly gathering visual data to confirm her suspensions. A tie hanging free from his shirt, Hair combed through with frustration, finally, dim eyes. A distinct difference from eyes filled with determination and hard focus.
Just because she couldn't quite place emotions, doesn't mean she was unable to comprehend them.
"Sue." Y/n said bluntly as ahe stood up to face him.
Reed flinched again, his arms crossed and slightly stiffening.
"You know, you always surprise me with how easily you read people." a little smile pulls at the corner of his lips, and suddenly his eyes have that little shine in them.
Then it was there again. The flutter in the pit of Y/n's stomach. A tightening of her chest. Initially, she was certain it was a heart attack, something she'd never felt before taking over her nervous system.
Her eyes turn soft, but ever so slightly as she steps closer. Hands coming up to fidget with one another.
"You're always focused, always without fear or pain, but when you and Sue fight, you always have details that tell me something is wrong."
She looks down at her hands, quickly placing them in her lab coat pockets. Her internal confusion causing her mind to race. Automatically, her mind turns back to the familiar. Science.
"Studies have shown human's have an underlying sense of understanding to someone who they spend alot of time in close proximity with. Sensing things like endorphins or-"
For a fleeting moment, her voice stops in her throat when movement reaches her point of view.
A warmth surrounds her body like she'd rarely felt before. Another unknown feeling of goosebumps and shivers cover her skin.
" -norepinephrine. Yes I remember that paper. It also explains that not only do humans experience the sense of others emotions, but also that their emotions can be transferred, mimicked or even be contagious." he whispers into her shoulder, his eyes momentarily closing. His body relaxing all from a hug.
"I think you have more emotions than you realize, Y/n. Expressing it might be difficult. But I can see it."
Y/n blinks slowly for a moment, her lips momentarily stunned with speechlessness. But he was right in a way. Even if she couldn't feel emotions, her arms still moved around his shoulders, reveling in the comfort his body brought. The perfect pressure in his grip. The exact amount of heat off his skin to bring a calm to her racing mind.
Very short story from a very swift inspiration streak I had. Let me know if yall want a longer story! I love the Criminal Minds cast, I'd love to write some more fics for all of them! Ried, Morgan and Prentice.
"Hotch." once repeated, twice firmer than the first time.
This time, Hotch looks up from the papers on his desk. Hand leaving his hair, showing his serious expression in the lamp light.
"Tile, what's wrong? I was just about to head home for the night."
She smiles at the stupid nickname the team assigned to her. Since day one it's been there, and it seems to have stuck around. Her scar on her chin is a constant reminder of that.
"Just needed to update you on today's Unsub files. He's in for processing, but the full report has some holes in it."
Hotch lifts an eyebrow, leaning back on his desk chair, his expression just barely shifting to confusion.
"Holes? Explain." he gestures to the chair across the desk.
Tile sits down, unloading the stack of files from her arms.
"Well, you know how Spencer gets carried away when he gets a lead, he tends to forget to write down his thought process and how he came to conclusions."
Hotch visibly relaxes once he hears it's nothing serious, rolling up his sleeves for the long hours of files ahead.
"Alright, give them to me." he said grabbing the file from her hand without hesitation.
Her grip remains firm when Hotch tries to pull the file towards him.
A small smirk appears when she sees an opportunity to tease him.
"I know you're not planning on doing all this tonight. After you've been up for almost fourty eight hours?"
Hotch never falters, those black eyes keeping stoic glare. Damn those mesmerizing voids.
"Y/n. I will not argue with you now. I'd like to finish work."
Using her real name was scary. Just for a second she wavered before fully pulling the file out of his hand.
"Damn, scary when your tired, aren't you?" she purrs, but immediately stops when she saw it. That fraction of emotion from Hotch's eyes. So small, you'd easily miss it.
"That's... Not it, is it? You're not just tierd." She concludes, watching him suddenly avoid eye contact when he realized he's caught.
Tile knew, more than anyone Hotch had his bad days. But this... This was rare. Rare that a case would get to him like this.
A murderer who prays on the weakest of humanity. The ones that made blood boil when the law was the only thing standing in the way of your own personal Justice. Only way that law goes out the window, is when it calls for self defense.
For Hotch this Unsub was one of those cases.
Y/n watched the door for a second. Knowing that her body would move before her logical thoughts.
She stood up, taking a hesitant stop to Hotch's side of the desk. Gentle, and almost hesitant to scare him off, she took his hand.
Bruised knuckles, a contact burn on his palm from his gun. Tile lightly twists it to the light of the lamp, earning a small hiss from Hotch.
She flinches, lightly dropping his hand, noticing he didn't once look back up at her. It wasn't embarrassment, or the masculine urge to remain strong.
It was vulnerability. Fear. Something about Foyet, the reaper, left him stunned, especially after he took Foyet's life. Guilty when he had to defend with his bare hands. The feeling of blood, the ptsd was all over his face.
Tile uses her knuckles, slightly pushing Aarons face to look at her. No affection, no inappropriate behavior between co workers, just a push to get his attention.
"Home, Aaron. That's where you need to be. With Jack, so you remember why you do this job."
Hotch didn't move, not even a blink. But something was there. That glint again as he processed his thoughts.
Tile didn't wait another moment for her heart to scheme any more than it already was. Scheming to hold him, hide him from the world that pushed him down so many times.
She grabs the files, walking towards the doors with the intention of finishing them.
Just as the warm office glow outside met her face, his voice made her pause.
"Y/n... Thank you."
She smiled, the warmth on her chest never letting up. Not for a second. Even after she left his office, it all seemed to push her smile wider.

The little girl laughs while they run though the grassy fields. Giggles filling the cool air of Ossus. A planet that Luke Skywalker Created his own jedi temple on, training other young and upcoming jedi like Ben and Liita.
She looks back at Ben who quickly overtakes her on their run. His head high and cocky as he now looks back at her.
She squints with a smirk and reaches out into the distance, focusing as she runs with careful eyes. With a instant tug of her hand, a rock hits Ben's foot, throwing him off balance.
He was sent tumbling into the grass with annoyed growl. But easily reaches out to her before he yanked Liita down with him using the force, both of them rolling into a laughing mingled mess.
Finally coming to a stop, she sends a punch into Ben's shoulder while they lay in the dirt.
"I'm going to kill you! You ruined by robes! Master Skywalker won't be happy!"
Ben snorts and pushes himself up to lay back on his arms.
"Well, you started it! Besides, you ruined mine first. I should scold you like the child you are!"
Lii rolls her eyes and rests her head on her arms, laying on her stomach.
"Just because you're 17 doesn't mean you can scold me!"
Ben chuckles and ruffles her hair with a cheeky grin.
"I'm still three years older than you, Ewok!"
She gasps the second the name came from his mouth. Yes, Ewok's are adorable, but surely he meant it as an insult.
She pouted angrily, only to get a boop on the forehead.
"See? You even pout like one!" he teases again.
His teasing makes her smack his hand away.
"You're mean, Ben Solo."
"And you're adorable, Liita Dameron."
Her pout fades into a little blush that she quickly hides in her arms. Ben only smiles, giving her head a little rub.
That's how it went, day after day. Training as a Padawan to soon became a Jedi of the new era.
Somehow, that all came to an end.
Six years later, Ben burned down the Ossus temple, almost killing master Luke, and finally, taking the lives of any trainee that wouldn't follow him to the darkness.
Liita Watched him from between the flames, her eyes watering from the smoke and her saber gripped tightly in her hand.
She looked to Ben for help. But Ben wasn't there anymore. Somone else was. Reaching out to her, eyes pleading for her to join him. Join him or else he'd have to do something he didn't want to.
She couldn't see the light in him anymore. So instead of taking his hand, she retreated deeper into the screaming flames. Trying to find a way out.
But Ben...
But Kylo wouldn't let her run. He pulled rubble down and onto her, leaving her buried. As a lover, and now a memory.

Poe Dameron sat infront of a dark screen. His foot tapping eagerly and his eyes trained.
"C'mon, C'mon. Where are you!"
He mumbles eagerly while his teeth bit into his lip.
The resistance around him, rushing to fix ships and prepare any other weapons for battle.
D'Qar. The Resistance Base for the time being.
The screen he watched was balanced on some crates for a make shift table and a crate for a chair.
"She'll be there, Poe." A gentle voice and hand on his shoulder comforts him.
General Leia glanced at the screen then back to Poe.
"You know she has to be careful, if she gets caught talking to the resistance, she'll be killed instantly."
Poe grits his teeth and replies.
"Or tortured."
Leia sighs and pats his shoulder again.
"She's trained with the force, Poe. She wouldn't give in that easily. She can resist a trooper's torture."
"It's not a trooper I'm worried about. It's him." Poe says bluntly.
Before Leia could even try to form a reply, silence filled her vocals instead. She couldn't argue, because he was right to worry.
Just then, the screen zips to life! Poe almost leaps as he grabs the screen with both hands.
"Liita!"
The room was dark, and she wore a first order general's uniform to blend in.
_"Shh! "I'm Alright, Poe. Don't shout like an idiot, little brother!"_ she scolds, but smiles nonetheless.
Poe finally takes a breath, his hands relaxing back into his lap.
"You almost missed the check in time. I thought..."
_"Hey! Don't even start with that! I wouldn't have volunteered if I didn't know what I was doing."_
She smiles, lifting the hat off hurt head. Skin burnt, hidden beneath her uniform showing as she shifted.
"Yeah, about that. You ok?"
_"Well, I haven't gotten caught yet! Aslong as I stay to the lower ranks and avoid higher ups, I can easily charm my way into making everyone believe I've always been here."_
She sneakily lifts her hand, giving it a easy wave and teasing.
_" You don't need to see my identification. We've been friends for years."_ She mocks her recent use of the force.
Poe chuckles, knowing his sister was trained for many years by a master Jedi. But his smile fades as new worry fills his mind.
"Talk to me, Lii. Anything new?"
_"No. The Resistance base is safe for now. They suspect nothing."_
Poe smiles warmly, his body at ease before placing his hand on the side of the screen again. His eyes growing serious.
"And you? Are you ever gonna come home, where it's safe?"
Liita paused for a second, glancing back into the dark room she was hidden in.
_"I... I can't, Poe. There's so much I can do here. So much pain I can inflict under their imperial armor."_
"Pain?" Poe calls her out. The sudden drop in her stomach makes her realize what she sounded like.
She quickly looks back at him.
_"Not what I meant! Don't do that! Don't make me paranoid. I'll never turn to the dark side! You know that."_
Poe watches her for a moment. She was in their colors. She was now in their ranks. No back up. Noone to balance her out.
"Ok... Just please be careful. And don't forget who's waiting for ya ok? Don't forget me and BB8." he quips some humor into their call.
Liita laughs. For the first time in a while, but it's all ended when suddenly a red light beams though the room.
_"I have to go, Poe!"_
Poe feels his jaw clench again. He would never know if she's ok in these times. But he needed to trust in her.
"May the force be with you, Lii."
She gave him a little nod before switching off the screen.
She needed to be quick. Stashing her Resistance devices in a hidden compartment in the Storage closet she was in.
She grabs her hat, pushing it firmly onto her head, leaping into the shining black hallways.
She was a Resistance spy in the heart of a first order fighter. An untrained Padawan with the hope of a Rebel.
She watched as Storm troopers and generals alike lined up on either side of the hallway.
She joined them swiftly, standing at attention. Hands on her sides and head held high. She needed to play the part now.
Like the red sea, soldiers parted at the sound of oncoming boots.
She watched his mask appear around a corner. Black eyes and breathing mechanism. Rumored to be a copy of his grandfather's.
Kylo Ren.
That's what he called himself now.
She stood straight as he walked by, unmoving and blending in with the others. But she kept her eyes on him, trying to find any speck of the Ben she knew. She hadn't seen his face for six long years, her heart longed to hold him again.
Suddenly Ben stopped and Liita flinched herself out of her trance.
She took a slow breath, filling her head with a blank slate. Images of the storm troopers. The TIE fighters and paperwork. A blank slate with no sign of the resistance or the force.
Once again her eyes go numb and her smile fades.
Kylo remains still for just a moment more, before continuing his angry stride.
Liita couldn't let him notice her. Not her face, not her voice, not the force that flows though her.
But for General Leia, she promised to keep an eye on him. And maybe she promised herself that too.
221B. An unusually quiet apartment filled with the occasional creaking floor board. Until the creaks become hurried and suddenly long legs stride up the stairs.
The door flies open with Sherlock walking hastily though it.
"Watson! I need a three pronged fork and two, blue, rubber ducks!"
The apartment messy as usual. Watson among the messy papers, holding a teacup in his hand. His eyes filled with hopeless irritation, watching the floor as Sherlock chatters on.
"Sherlock." Watson tries his luck to get Sherlock's attention.
"Not yellow! Blue rubber ducks!" Sherlock ignores, simply striding towards the desk, over the mess with easy legs.
It's only when he hears an unfamiliar snort from the kitchen, that he looks up.
A woman standing beside the sink, drying her hands after having washed them.
"Who is that?" Sherlock questions plainly after the newcomer suddenly didn't hold his interest anymore.
Watson sets his cup down and stands up somewhat awkwardly.
"This is.. Ehem.. you're new room mate." he explains, using his usual stutter. Silently apologizing to the woman for Sherlock's manners.
"Dalicy." She steps closer, crossing her arms, watching Sherlock fidget with something on the desk.
Sherlock looks her over with a judgmental glare, then back at Watson, ignoring her introduction completely.
"MY new roommate?"
"Well Sherlock, you never showed up for interviews. So like the good friend I am, I did them for you." Watson pushes his hands into his pockets, giving a shrug.
Sherlock is now silent. Simply walking closer to this stranger, crossing her arms and mirroring her.
His much taller form stood frozen for a second, only studying her smirk. Was she taunting him? Or did she simply want him to think she knew something he didn't? Annoying.
"Germaphobe."
"Sherlock-" Watson scolds.
But Sherlock speaks too quickly.
"Your hands are dry and over washed. Not to mention the strong smell of hand sanitizer, as you use it often. Moments ago you were washing your hands when normally people wouldn't do that on a regular basis. Not to mention the bubble soap has been rubbed into foam with your harsh rubbing. "
Watson pinches his nose bridge, feeling very embarrassed, but he should've seen this coming. Sherlock was using his usual method to scare off new people.
Dalicy took a moment to keep her smirk, only to snort again.
"Well played, mister Holmes. But actually..." she pauses finding her words.
"I'm glad you've done my reading. Now I can clean the apartment without your permission."
Sherlock glares at her statement.
This... Woman!
She simply brushed off his deduction. No offended glare, or surprise in her eyes. Why was her lack of reaction so irritating?
"No. Leave everything as is." he spits, watching her wander to the front of the fire place.
Dalicy glances at him over her shoulder, making sure hes watching as her hand lifts a paper off the shelf and placing it on another stack. A minor shifting of an object.
Watson smiles at her little defiant action, but clears his throat when Sherlock gives him a Mom-she's-mean look.
Watson shrugs and sits back in his chair.
"She's paying for half of this apartment, Sherlock. She's like Mary. Can't get pushed around. That's why I chose her."
Sherlock gives his head an annoyed scratch, ruffling his curly locks.
"Fine! But if she touches my skull I'm-"
"This skull?" She giggled, catching Sherlock's quick head snap.
She smiles at the skull, giving it a gentle boop on where it's nose would be.
"He looks like a Bartholomew. Or maybe a Montgomery?"
Sherlock growls, pushing her hand away and cradling his skull quickly.
"Don't name my skull!"
Dalicy could only smile at his behavior, spinning on her heel to sit on Sherlock's chair. Her head lazily laying on her curled fingers.
"So easy to annoy. I think this will be a fun Chapter. Don't you agree?"
Sherlock scowled down at her the skull still clutched in his one hand.
"Fun.." He repeats the word, but his tone meant the exact opposite.
He walks off with an annoyed growl, making his way to Mother again to complain.
Dalicy keeps her smirk, until her phone vibrates in her pocket. Giving it a sideways glance, her eyes darken at the sight of the message.

"UGH!" His voice rattles the windows, papers and books flung across the study.
Aloïs. Former lover to Y/n, Opera house costume designer, nobleman who was presumed dead. All titles he was ready to use to his will.
"Sir! We've searched the tavern, every room that isn't burnt in the theater-" the officer pleads.
"Then you didn't look HARD enough!" Aloïs scolds, taking a shaky breath while leaning over the desk.
Y/n's blue ballgown clutched in his hand.
Y/n.
His Y/n was taken like he feared so long ago.
His vest and tie ripped off with aggression. Hair that was once pulled back, now a rough state of frustration.
"Monsieur, we don't know where they are." the officer repeats calmly.
Aloïs's breaths heavy as he thinks, holding the dress to his temple as if it would help him think. His teeth grind together before he forces words though them.
"I know where they are! Just not how to get there!"
His fist hits the desk with heavy impact.
"The tunnels are intricate! Hard to follow! The only way to know how to get there is a we'd already been-" his voice stops when realization hits him.
"Already been there." he continues quietly.
It starts small, a maddening chuckle to some realization he had.
"Very well! I will play your game. You'll be certain to attend." Aloïs mutters, but his words weren't directed to the officer.
The officer somewhat follows Aloïs's insane ramblings before adding his own plans.
"We are certain the police is there, We are certain that they are armed."
"The curtain falls. His rain will end."
Aloïs gives the dress in his palm one final squeeze before swiftly tossing it to the side and walking toward the exit.
"Ready my carriage! To the De Chagny Estate. Hurry!"
Fury rising and his anger restless as he made his way. However, Across the city of Paris, warmth spread though the cave walls.
Her fingertips ran across the small stage, crafted with dolls, chairs and a fire pit at the center. A deliberate and detailed play by the name of 'Don Juan Triumphant'.
A trap set to capture the beautiful Opera singer Christine Daaé and bring her to the lair that Y/n now stood in.
"So... This is where... everything happened?" she asks more carefully than she'd admit.
Eyes darting between the dreaded Phantom and the model stage.
She wasn't afraid of him. Not anymore. But she was still getting used to it, the feeling of knowing it was him. The man she feared had snaked into her heart under the mask of Erik. Ironic.
His arms crossed, his back leaning against the wall and studying eyes following her every movement.
"Yes. When I wasn't hidden in the tunnels of the Theater. I was here. Planning, crafting, writing."
Y/n felt an estranged giggle bubble though her stomach.
He was a gentleman of many talents. She almost wondered how someone like him would get shunned by society, for what was only skin deep. Shunned for a distorted face.
Well...
Besides the murders.
"Is that all you did? Scheme and write?" she finally could tease him a bit. Tension leaving her with every glance.
"Opposed to sleeping and eating..." he starts his reply.
Pushing off the wall, he uncrosses his arms only to wrap them back around her waist. Her baggy trousers and shirt folding beneath his strong back hug.
"But I can't say that the years of boredom weren't worth it. As a result, I have you here, in my arms."
Her eyes roll from his cheesy words, glancing back at him with her hands on his.
"I'm still angry with you. I see though your cuddly tricks, Monsieur."
Erik looked like a pouty puppy, but just for a second before he effortlessly lifts her up, swinging her in a few circles.
"Perhaps this will persuade you!" he toys with her.
And again, the butterflies in her stomach forced a laugh to escape her, her eyes closed and she holds on for dear life.
"Erik! Stop! Stop! Your leg!" Her voice objects, laughs echoing though the cave.
A small, elegant, spin turned her back to face him and her feet back on the ground.
"My darling Y/n, My pain is easily snuffed out by your beautiful symphony of laughter." he confesses, adding a small kiss to sweeten his words.
Y/n melts only a little at the gentleness of his kiss. Her heart pounding and sending a small flush to her cheeks. He had a way of so easily normalizing their kisses after just recently having their first.
She was about to continue this little banter when something catches her eye.
A dark hallway behind a broken mirror, red curtains almost made it completely hidden.
"What... is that?" she hesitates to ask, again, but this time from curiosity.
Erik sighs quietly. Only stepping away from her for a moment to drop the red curtain completely. Hushing the doorway into the past. Where it belonged.
"It was my escape once."
Y/n could tell, it wasn't a subject he'd like to discuss, it was a day of pain for most residents of the theater. Her included.
She only cups his cheek, pulling his eyes back to hers and placing the smallest kiss on his eyelid.
"Well, we best not make a fuss about it then. After all! You promised me a meal, Monsieur."
His smile returns as soon as the words leave her mouth.
A foot crossing behind the other, a gentle bow of his head and a offered hand make Y/n smile all the more.
"Very well, Mademoiselle. Dinner is served."
She took his hand without hesitation, eyes soft as she watched his eyes.
He'd changed so much from the man he once was all those months ago.

"Masquerade! Every face a different shade! Masquerade! Look around there's another mask behind you." the singers sung their part.
Y/n smiled, even tho it was behind the face of a weeping mask. Her dance moves following her fellow dancers at her side with elegance and joy.
The floors covered in golden confetti while elegant dancers filled the marble steps of the theater.
Christine was Secretly engaged at this point in time. The managers were giving higher pay and their moods had never been so brilliant. Even Aloïs seemed to be filled with joy for once.
The masquerade was going so well. Y/n had never been happier to dance on thw golden steps while others enjoyed a nightly drink.
Her unbreathable corset was the only problem then, until someone pushed past Y/n, and took its place.
A large man, wrapped in a red coat that burnt like fire among the plain white and black's of the dancers clothing. An elegant mask covered the most of his face. A skull design to frighten onlookers. Blade at his side and a cape following him like a trail of blood.
His steps quiet as he found his way to the center of the grand steps.
The Phantom had returned.
Y/n opened her mouth to call out! To warn someone! But suddenly, a hand wrapped around her mouth.
"Don't interfere, Y/n." Aloïs growled quietly behind her, his eyes narrow while watching the masked man.
He was shushing her? Why! Did he not want her to catch the attention of the Phantom?
"Why so Silent, good messieurs? Did you think that I have left you for good?" The phantom sings, his footsteps heavy on the stairs and upon each person's ears.
Y/n watched in simple silence as he suddenly threw his masterpiece, 'Don Juan Triumphant', onto the floor.
He approached each of the lead cast members. Charlotta, Piangi and even the managers got instructed by him.
With each of his demands, Aloïs's grip on Y/n's mouth grew stronger. Perhaps he could feel the adrenaline build in her blood. Her anger and want to cut this criminal down.
"As for our star, Christine Daaé..."
Y/n felt her eyes narrow as he approached their lead singer. Christine's body frozen in fear and curiosity.
"Let me go, Aloïs!" Y/n growls quietly, shoving and pushing at him.
"No! Let him have her!" Aloïs holds her waist with his arms, yanking her further and further back.
"... Or he might have you instead!"
His words suddenly stunned Y/n. 'Have her instead?' Whats that supposed to mean? Why would the Phantom at all try to take her instead of Christine.
Confusion takes her gaze back to the masked killer.
A red suit, and skull defining mask, purposefully made to show the angry monster he wanted everyone to see. But there was something beneath it. His eyes longed for her, for Christine.
When Christine stepped closer to him. All eyes were on her, all but Y/n's.
Y/n's eyes were lured towards The Phantom.
His body language, the look of surprise when Christine showed little fear, captivated Y/n. Her throat tightened when sadness filled her body.
He... He was terrified. Scared of Christine, not the other way around. Y/n could tell just by watching those darkened eyes. He loved her so much, even going to far as to fear her gentle eyes.
But just as suddenly as his vulnerability showed, so did it dissappear again. His hand aggressively plucking the ring, hanging from Christine's neck, off.
"You're chains are still mine! You belong to me!" he snapped at her and suddenly vanished into the hole ground.
~~~
Y/n's body jerks awake, her eyes open wide for just a moment before she grumbles.
The cave echoing around her and the heavy structure creaking above.
She closes her eyes and touching her surroundings to find her bearings. Palm gently pressed onto a firm surface.
"A nightmare?" The gentlest voice reaches her ears. Heavy and deep.
She smiles before her eyes open again. Her firm little pillow ended up being his shoulder.
"No, just a memory."
Y/n reaches to cup his burnt cheek, giving it a soothing stroke.
His hand around her torso, keeping her close to his side.
"It was about you actually." She whispers, matching his soft tone.
Their meal had lead to a comfortable sleep in his shell shaped bed. And she'd been in his arms for hours since. Simply curling into each other's silent grasp.
"Oh? About me."
"Yes. The night of the masquerade. You scared Aloïs to death. He wouldn't let me get near you."
"Scared." the words leave his tongue like a dragging blade.
"He should've been. That day I was furious." Erik confesses, his fingers rubbing soothing circles onto her hip.
"And you? Were you scared, Ma chanson?"
The nickname caught her off guard. 'My Song' How he could make her smile so easily, she'd never know.
"No. At least, not completely scared."
Her arms push her body up. At least enough to meet his eyes at his level.
"I was curious. You seemed so angry. But I saw the sadness you tried to hide. It broke a bit of my heart."
She pouts only a bit, carefully nuzzling her nose against his before whispering her little Confession.
"I never want to see it again."
Her little pout made Erik chuckle, but her whisper was his tipping point. Compelling him to kiss her lips in the most gentle way.
"My Darling. If you'll allow me see those beautiful eyes every day, I will never have another reason to feel despair again."
Y/n watched him for a moment before giggling into his shirt, hiding the blush on her face.
Erik was fully prepared to tease her with loving words for the rest of the day. Until a sound in the distance echoed into the cave.
His eyes switch suddenly, narrow and agitated.
"What was that?"
Y/n asks, sitting up and watching him easily leap from the bed.
"Someone's here."
Y/n leaps from the bedding aswell, her bare feet against the stone floor as she follows behind him.
Erik is quick to take his mask and sword out of instinct, except this time, he's not fighting for his own safety. He's fighting for Y/n's aswell.
Y/n takes the candle stand she used before. Hands gripping onto the golden metal, eyes narrow as the footsteps approached.
Y/n felt her nerves build more and more, until finally, a black boot caught her attention from behind the open sewer gate.
Erik growls, leaping forward and though the water, his fist clenched around the gate lever, refusing to let Y/n be taken again.
Except a voice stops him. A sweet melodic song, echoing peacefully through the cave.
"Angel of music, Guide and Guardian."
Y/n's eyes widen as suddenly as her throat tightens. A voice that once made her dance so beautifully, now made her heart twist into fear. That voice could so easily take him from her.
"Christine..." Erik whispers, his hand drifting away from the lever, and his body turning towards the entrance.
There she was. Her gown exquisite as her beauty. Eyes innocent and glittering. The Viscount Raoul de Chagny, not far behind, simply there as Christine's guard.
Eric didn't look away. Not once. He craved her presence for months since the Opera house burnt down. She'd been his only strength, for aslong as he could remember.
The silence was thick in the cave, Y/n's pounding heart in her ears and her eyes glued to Erik.
It's true she trusted him. She knew he loved her, but deep down, Christine would always have a lingering place in his heart.
Y/n wanted to be selfish, to grab his hand and yank his attention back onto her, kiss him and never let him forget how she loved him.
But she couldn't do that. Not to him, he'd been forced to hide for long enough. He needed to see her. Atleast once more.
Aloïs took this opportunity to stalk around the center attraction. Making his way to his target. Y/n.
Erik was memorized, engulfed in the memories of Christine rushing through his mind. His eyes taut in her direction.
Christine delicately pushed Raoul's hand from her wrist, stepping closer and into the water.
"Don't do this, my angel. Don't take another innocent woman. She's not me." Christine tries to reason, only knowing what Aloïs had told her.
That the Phantom of the Opera had taken another innocent woman. And this made Christine feel responsible.
Erik seemingly comes back to is senses again. After hearing that last sentence, his eyes shift back to the water. Silent for a second.
Then his chuckle broke the silence. A chilling echo.
"You're right, Christine."
His sword is quick and precise, suddenly stopping Aloïs in his tracks with a blade to his chest. Aloïs who had stalked so close so fast, steps away from grabbing Y/n.
"She isn't you." Erik finishes his response.
Their blades strike with a echoing clang. Erik's cloak frantically fluttering though the air as he blocks Aloïs's from getting any closer.
Y/n smiled slowly, letting out a breathy laughter as her heart lowers back to a relived thump.
But it was short lived.
She watched the scene unfold, her thoughts quickly calculate everything at once.
Erik's leg was still weak, Aloïs was stuck in another one of his angry fits! How was she meant to fix this!
Aloïs roared in frustration. His hair flipping as he lunges to strike.
"You cannot take what was mine first!"
Erik blocks again, giving the frustrated man child a shove back, water splashing suddenly.
"You constantly insist that she is yours to take. Only a fool would so eagerly try to tame her."
Erik steps closer with a growing murderous glare beside a knowing smirk.
Aloïs snarls and combs his messy hair back from his face.
"You're a coward! Taking her when I'm not looking!"
He steps though the water, and their blades meet in constant swings. Never hesitating to strike at a vital spot.
"You're a fool for taking your eyes off her!"
Phantom retorts. Tho he's almost met with Another of Aloïs's strikes. His foot work weakened by an injured leg.
Y/n's body suddenly flinched itself awake at the next blade strike, this one almost reaching Erik's abdomen.
What was she doing! Just standing there and watching like a frightened little girl. She wouldn't be that woman. She never has been.
Erik cries in pain when he suddenly looses his footing in the water, his weakened leg unable to keep him up right.
"Die, Ghost!" Aloïs's spits.
Aloïs's blade lifts into the air, ready to give a fatal blow, but Y/n's feet are already gliding through the watery depths.
A small symphony playing in her head before she's overwhelmed with a painful strike and a shriek ripping though her vocals.
The blade cutting though her skin easily, and the air hangs with a sudden tension. For Erik, his body couldn't move fast enough to grab her. Nonetheless, she landed in his arms.
Maybe it was his pounding heart that muffled her pained cry, or the smell of copper mixing with cold cave water.
A view before his eyes he knew every time he looked in the mirror.
He cradles her swiftly in his cloak, his hand holding the back of her head. Her hands gripping the side of her face.
"Y/n! Y/n! Shh..."
He hushes her, while his glove and sword are quickly tossed to the side.
His fingertips sooth her cheek, blood seeping into the crevices of his fingers.
"Y-y/n.. I didn't mean to-" Aloïs stutters in shock. Christine and Raoul standing in shock behind him.
"Silence!" Erik almost screams out, tho he held himself back from ending Aloïs, for the sake of Y/n in his arms.
Y/n cried silently, every nerve in her face burning with warning and pain.
Erik knew he had to make a decision. Now more than ever while everyone was in shock. While he held Y/n in his arms. His protection.
He holds her tightly, the scaffolding creaking above their heads with a dreadful threat.
He leans closer, placing his forehead to hers and whispers in a gentle silk voice.
"Y/n, do you trust me?"
Her eyes shift from Aloïs's to Erik's. Her heart pounding so loudly that she almost missed Erik's gentle voice.
She did. She trusted him every night at the tavern. She trusted him though every hungry night. Though every tear they shared together.
"Always." her voice whimpers though the burning sensation.
Aloïs screamed in the background, watching the scaffolding loose it's final strength.
But so did Y/n. Loosing her final bits of resistance to conscious thought, and simply giving into the phantoms embrace.
Harsh dust and large boulders hit the ground with an earth rumbling crash. Flames and water scattered across the once secret lair of a bloody killer with a monstrous face.
The cave collapsed in on itself. Breaking the weakened pillars that stood for years before.
Aloïs's screams fill the cluttered cave, Christine and Raoul run from danger.
That was the last they were seen. The phantom and the dancer.
Only embracing in the candle light before a horrid fate. The whisper of a doorway hidden by a red curtain behind them.
~3 Years later~
He flicks the newspaper with the cigar fitting between his yellowed teeth.
"Mighty shame what happened to them French folk." he speaks in a heavy Texas accent.
A hat to fit his white suit and golden pocket watch.
His wife sitting beside him at the circle table, pats her cheeks with some foundation while looking into a small mirror in her palm.
"Yes, well. Can't say they didn't deserve it, darlin'. Them 2 were murderers, ya know!"
She closes the mirror and pushes it back into her purse.
"Tsk! Damn if I believe that! They were just another poor couple gettin' harassed by bunch a' rich basterds!"
He twists his large body in the silk chair, looking around at the darkened theater room. Hundreds of other well off Americans chatting at their own tables.
"Now, now hush you! The show is startin'." His wife waves him off again, glancing up at the stage.
The spotlight flicks on easily. Revealing a pianist with a familiar white mask on his face. His eyes like a snake, studying the crowd slowly to be sure of no danger.
As soon as his fingertips grace the piano keys, a dancer is revealed by a second spotlight.
A gown of pure white to match the mask covering her face. A mask hiding a deep skinned scar.
"The Masked Show, ey? Let's see what all the fuss is 'bout." The Man says in a harsh whisper.
The dancer smiles as her legs glide across the stage to the beautiful piano symphony. Her movements were ones never before seen by an American crowd. Almost like she was dancing in mid air.
A song composed with deep heartfelt notes and a story to tell in its sorrowful pages.
A bewildered crowd watches her enchanting movements closely. But another pair of eyes follow her figure.
A smile on his face while he watches his darling grace the dance floor.
A gentle song played on the organ, loud enough to echo through the water-filled cave but soft enough to preserve the delicate nature of the song.
The cave was decorated with golden accents and hundreds of candles, tho only a select few candles were lit. Just enough to illuminate the shimmering lake below.
Y/n slept in a shell shaped bed with a bird at the foot of it. A black mesh curtain hung over her, obscuring ber view from what lay ahead.
Y/n's eyes opened slowly as her mind registered the events that transpired. After a second her body jolted upright and she's aware of her surroundings.
The organ still played slowly as her chest heaved rapidly. She's quick to jump out of the bed, keeping from making too much noise.
After untangling herself from the black curtain she looks around unsure of where she was.
To her side was a tall, golden, candle stand that came up to her shoulders. She blew out the candles on top and then took hold of the stand as if it were a baseball bat.
Not realizing its weight, she lifted it with too much ease. Wax from the still hot candles, splashed onto her bare shoulders and onto the costume she still wore after the Opera.
Her breathing hitched and she clenches her teeth, keeping a painful yelp from escaping.
After the wax droplets cooled on her skin, her thoughts returned to the problem at hand.
With delicate dancer's feet, she walks across the path towards the direction of the music.
Making her way up some stairs she peeked over to see the organ, more importantly the man playing it. His hair in perfect shape and the same clothing, without the cloak.
As she walked, she passed scattered fabrics and sewing equipment. Materials matching her costume. One red thread in particular, stood out, not matching the color of the material.
Y/n glances down at the seam of the costume going up her torso, to see a rushed seam, threaded into her dress with the same red thread.
"He tailored it to fit me..?" she whispers as her brain worked out what happened.
She continues towards the organ, only to see her target had vanished.
"It was an urgent fix." he replies to her muttered observation.
She jumps at his voice, startled by how close he'd gotten without her noticing. Her stance turns defensive with her head low and shoulders braced.
"I needed the costume to fit you perfectly."
He stood in front of her, eyes focused on her movements.
She swings the candle stand and keeps distance between them.
How did he know her measurements? Unless he had some piece of her clothing.
"Stay back! Or I swear I'll hurt you!"
Phantom didn't react. Only watched her defensive stance. He knew she'd have questions. What he didn't expect was her hateful gaze.
"Where are we? Why did you bring me here?" she yells as her eyes make quick glances for an exit.
She spots a large open gate on the other side of the water, but that observation took her attention off the Phantom.
He quickly grabs the candle stand making her gasp from fright.
"We're safe. That's all that matters." he says in a calm tone.
Not willing to tempt fate, she drops the candle stand and bolted.
Barefoot she runs down the stairs and straight into the knee deep water.
She trudged through the water as fast as she could, almost swimming. But Phantom was faster.
He pulled the lever down causing the drop gate to descend. Not fast, but fast enough for Y/n to miss her exit.
"NO!" She yells grabbing onto the iron bars that kept her from escape.
"Let me out!" she growls putting her back to the gate with one hand holding her dress up.
Phantom walked towards her, slow enough for her to know she could run if she needed to.
"If you go that way, all you'll find is rubble, and you'll get stuck in the Maze of hallways."
He makes it to right infront of her, before he stops looking down at her frightened face.
"Then I'll ask you again, Phantom!" her words hard and to the point.
"Where are we?" she barked.
Phantom calculated his response for a moment. Then he gave in and sighed in defeat. He knew what he had to do.
"I'll show you. On the condition, you listen to what I have to say, and at the very least, put on something warm."
His words caught Y/n off gaurd. Her face goes from pure anger, to softened confusion. He cared for her? Why?
She looked back at the long stretching hallway behind her, many different ways she could get lost and starve to death trying to find her way back out.
Without thinking, she bit onto her thumb nail. A stressed habit.
She looked back into his eyes. Those pleading eyes eyes that were begging for her to give him one chance.
This made a thought pop into her head. To 'Read the words that come from your partners eyes.' Something Erik said to do.
She looks directly at the man infront of her, finding the meaning behind his words. Her head slowly nods up and down, after a long pause of silence.
Phantom's gaze softened and his lips almost turned to a smile. He turned away from her and trudged through the water back to the stairs.
A little stumble made him suddenly stop and wince, grabbing his leg.
Y/n's subconscious reaction was to jump forward and help. But then she remembered who she was with and quickly retracted her hand.
Instead, she opted to only ask. "Are you alright?"
Phantom steadied himself with a deep breath, then continued walking.
"Just an old wound, my dear."
Another thought pops into Y/n's head. Or rather, a twinge of familiarity. But she couldn't place it. His worded mannerisms, movements. Simply the way he walked? It was so familiar.
Shaking the thought off, she walks back to solid ground where phantom gave her some clothes of his.
She wore a white shirt and black trousers along with a thick heavy coat to keep warm. A familiar smell came from them, mixed in with the dust accumulated over some time. But again, she couldn't place it.
After she was semi-fitted for the cold Paris air. Phantom lead her through many halls, twisted paths and up a large almost infinite staircase.
Slowly, the walls turned to greyed lime stone and extravagant statues came to view. Y/n's heart burned with denial watching the familiar red velvet seats come to view.
A fallen chandelier in the center of the large room, and ashes painted over any and all nearby objects. Heavy statues on the verge of giving way and debris risking a dangerous fall. They stood on the stage looking over a burnt Palais Garnier.
Her hands clasped over her mouth, and her heartache turned to long awaited tears. Her home, reduced to debris and ashes. Doomed never to shine with golden musical theater, again. Memories burnt to nothing.
She sobs into her hands and finally her knees buckle in on themselves.
Erik stood behind her. All he wanted was to hold her close, hold her until her tears ran dry and her sadness faded, never to return.
"W-why did you bring me here!? To see what your distraction caused! Does seeing me cry bring you joy?"
Her breathing rapid once again and she clenched onto the cloak. Panic, Stress, anxiety! All of the sudden, her trauma came flooding back.
Triggers all around her. The burnt beam's on the stage. The crushed glass pieces of the chandelier. Even the thought of going backstage to their rooms made her shudder.
This is where she spent days training with her father, where he spent years slamming her child body into walls if she danced incorrectly.
This is where she, Christine, Meg, as young girls, snuck out to watch the rich ladies in sparkling dresses come in, to see the adult performers.
All because one person couldn't wait! One person couldn't let go of a girl he loved and didn't love him in return. A deformed face, a beautiful singing voice, experienced in all things theater!
She stood up suddenly and spun around to look at him. Her glittering tears flying through the air.
Her thoughts crashed together and aimed to one person.
"Why ERIK! Why!"
Her words echoed powerfully through the Opera house. His name repeating over and over until they faded out.
At first, Y/n was taken aback at her own words. An undermined thought she'd never thought to explore or question. But it all lined up too perfectly.
Perhaps she knew from the start. When she pulled him from the fire. When he avoided the question of his past. Violent tendencies. His love for Christine. But in Y/n's love for all things, how could she just leave him.
Phantom only watched her, both of their hearts pounding in sync. His head drops down, not looking at her.
"Y/n.." he barely whispers.
"Don't! Don't say anything!" she hushed him immediately. Making everything silent so she could hear her own speeding thoughts.
She walks closer to him. A creaking from her footsteps on stage, and hesitation in her movements.
Suddenly she was face to face with him, the monster? The man she grew to love?
Her hands move to his and mask. A slowly lift from the bottom. Time moved slow, as the air shifted. Finally, Erik appears before her again.
"Look at me Erik." her voice cracks at her demand.
Erik is slowly to meet her eyes. His guilt burnt so bright. But his need for her forgiveness simmered in a sliver of tears.
Y/n was angry, so incredibly angry. The man infront of her was both a deceiver, and a liar! But he was also her roommate, her colleague, her love.
" 'Read the words that come from your partners eyes', that's what you told me, remember?" She repeats a bit of advice she got from none other than Erik.
She takes his jaw, nor harshly, but enough to emphasize her anger.
"So read my eyes now."
Erik Stood strong for a moment, looking at her. Reading her every emotion and thought with clear understanding. Wet eyes, opposing to the fire burning within them.
"You want an explanation." he says plainly, his large cloak waving heavily in the wind behind him, engulfing her.
"If I'd told you, the day of the fire. You'd have reacted worse than you are now. I was so very ready to leave the inn that night. Prepared to leave everything and go search for my angel of music."
He finally touches her cheek. A black leather glove brushing over her now frosted tears.
"Then my savior stood at the windowsill. Crying for a love who should've been in my place. And I couldn't leave."
He chuckles deeply as his other hand joins the one on her cheek.
"If you know how easily you can command me, just by looking at me with those tearful eyes, I'd be at your mercy. An eternal slave."
He held her face delicately, making sure her attention was on nothing but him. A little furious hamster in the palms of his hands.
"Christine was my angel of music. But you're the goddess of every beat from my heart."
A slow kiss onto her head as he beacons her ever closer with the smooth voice she'd become addicted to.
"You've captured my soul, my darling Y/n. And you've enslaved me to your every tear. I love you."
He confesses in a small ice covered whisper.
She knew, more than anything she couldn't forgive him so easily. She stood there, holding that haunting mask in her hand, knowing how much pain and desire such a mask bought.
His hands on her cheeks, carefully holding her like the most precious rose.
She felt her lip quiver before quickly biting down on it, trying to keep her heart contained for a little longer.
"And if I don't love you? If I still love Aloïs?" she lied though her teeth. Selfishly testing his answer. Searching for any reason to leave her yearning heart behind in the snow.
"Then I'll simply have to use every ounce of my power to convince you to spend an eternity of this, before your eyes. A haunted face that holds horror, and a soul where distortion lies."
All she needed to hear was that. That he'd fight for her and not simply let her go again. She clenched her teeth, there was one last thing she had to be sure of.
"And.. Christine?"
Erik paused for another second, carefully lifting his hands away to scuffle in his pocket. Two rings. Aloïs's and Christine's layed in his palm.
As if it was the easiest decision he made, he simply twisted his wrist diagonally. Dropping the two jewels into the dust and snow.
"She may have had my heart once. But you carry it now."
Y/n glanced down at the rings. Perhaps selfishly, she laughed, and quickly pushed her palm over her eyes, wiping the tears off her eyelashes.
"You're such a fool, such a horrid lier, quick to anger, quick to fight! Quick to capture my heart."
She took a small breath, not being able to stop the smile that forced itself onto her lips.
His pace was strong and exact as he walked through the ships shining white hallway. Hair cut to a precise straight line with pointed ears, a shining example of his Valcan linage.
His uniform was nothing short of excellent, no wrinkle or crease would dare disturb it's perfection. The tablet in his hand had many names of crew members across the screen.
Behind him, hundreds of cadets, Ensign's and officers ran through the hallway. Some carrying baggage or equipment for the long journey that lay ahead.
The blue, red, and yellow uniforms looked like smudged lines to Spock. No one daring to crash into him or hinder his way, as his intense focus on the tablet demanded his presence to be known.
Behind him came a red uniform, short skirted Lieutenant Commander Uhura runs closer. Her pace quickened to a jog to catch up to him. She dodged one of the Cadets carrying heavy boxes until she finally caught up to Spock.
"Spock!" she called to him but his attention never faltered from the tablet screen.
One name of the many pops up and he selects it. The profile of Ensign Y/n L/n appeared.
"What is it, Uhura?"
"I just needed to enquire on the specific time of launch."
Spock scrolls down to the information on the profile.
"There's no question, we leave O' eight hundred hours, current planet time. We've given everyone sufficient time to prepare for a life long expedition of exploration."
Uhura growls and dodges another Cadet carrying some equipment and engineering tools.
"Yes I understand! But some Cadets have questioned the captains choice to bring inexperienced Ensign's on board for this mission."
Spock finally stops once they've reached the back of the hallway with a large door at the end. His hands are placed behind his back delicately and without hesitation he answers.
"Uhura, I can see the unease that this may have caused. However our Captain has never put us in harms way before and he certainly won't now. I trust Kirk's decisions whole heartedly."
Uhura sighs and nods slowly. Her arms fold into a somewhat comforting hug.
"I guess I should too. It's just a really big decision for everyone to make. There's a chance we may never come home."
She slowly glances through the large window beside them at the spinning blue and green planet below.
Spock looks at earth and then back at her.
"The U.S.S Enterprise is our home now. And like earth. We must protect it."
She laughs a little through her nose at Spock.
"Yeah, you're right."
With a small hand, she pats on his shoulder and then makes her way back down the hallway.
"Oh! And Good luck with the new Ensign!" she calls back to him before disappearing into the corridor.
Finally, the hallway seemed a little quieter. Spock looks back down at his tablet and scrolls through the profile. The first thing he noticed is no picture of the Ensign. Odd.
The second thing he notices is the lack of specified species. The Enterprise was a decorated vessel with many mixed species staff. A proud ship of the The United Federation of Planets.
The doors at the end of the hallway finally slide open.
"Ensign L/n! You're-"
He looks up at the new Ensign but stops when he sees a short bodied, light blue skinned species. Not a harsh blue, but a pale skin tone similar to the planet Andoria.
The blue uniform perfectly hugging their figure and snow-white hair covering their ears.
"...-Late."
He finishes looking at their profile then back at them.
"Sir, I'm sorry. They had some trouble confirming my authentication due to my incomplete file."
They look down shyly. Holding a suitcase and a box of glass tubes and bottles.
"Then let's make an effort to complete it."
Spock walks a circle around them them with a raised eyebrow as he studied their species.
"Tell me, Ensign, what's your species? Your skin and hair would suggest Andorian. However, I see no antennae."
Y/n slowly scratches the bottom of their ear and clears their throat.
"I am Andorian, sir. I lost my antennas in a chemical accident."
Again, Spock looks down at his tablet. His face showing no visible confusion, but he was, in fact, a little confused. Yet also mesmerized.
"It says here you're a Medical Ensign."
They quickly nod watching Spock.
"Yes! Chemistry is my main practice. I can't have the Medical Officer mixing the wrong, atorvastatin with fluticasone and causing someone to come down with some disease!"
They finish their explication but quickly step back after.
"Apologies! I didn't mean to sound so accusatory."
Spock nods before turning on his heel and starting his walk.
"Not at all, I am Vulcan. We try to keep our emotions-"
"-Controlled." Y/n says, catching up to him.
"Yes, I'm aware." they confess, looking down.
Spock squints for a second before looking back at the tablet for some information.
"Now, your room is on deck 37. This deck is reserved for medical and research personnel. Med Bay is also on deck 37."
He explains as they walk to the turbolift, taking them both up to Deck 37. The lift is filled with a few seconds of awkward silence. Spock takes this time to study his blue skinned Ensign.
Their existence is shrouded in mystery. The story of their antennas being chemically detached is questionable, Andorian's antenna grow back after time. Their short stature compared to many of the tall built andorians. An incomplete file made Spock's curiosity spark.
Finally arriving at their room. Spock hands them a key card. He turns his back to them without a goodbye.
"Spock!" Y/n calls.
Spock turns back to them. A darkened blue color covered their cheeks like blush would a human's face.
"Yes, Ensign?"
Y/n takes a breath of confidence and looks at Spock.
"Thank you for accompanying me. You have other duties to see to. But I appreciate your time."
Spock only bows his head.
"It's my duty, Ensign. Now hurry to your medical checkups. We launch in 5 hours."
Y/n gives a happy nod, then entering their room with a little excited skip.
Spock couldn't tell why, but his heart gave a pleased thump when he saw the excitement from Y/n. A young new Ensign is unaware of the vastness of space that lays ahead.
The crew started settling into their bunks and rooms with quick paced ease. A fast five hour jump to the launch and Spock was confident in his preparation.
He was sat at his launch pad watching all systems make necessary calculations. As Head Commanding Science Officer and First Officer. He had to be sure the Enterprise was ready for Captain Kirk's arrival.
A sudden hand placed on Spock's shoulder pulls him from his thought process. Jim Kirk stood behind him. His close friend and captain. Even though he was human, Kirk knew what to say to let Spock know everything was ok.
"Well, Spock! How's she lookin?"
Kirk questions.
Spock straightens himself out and with a proud, non emotional face, then says.
"She is, in human terms, Spick and span!"
Kirk smiles giving Spock a good smack on the shoulder.
"Good! Because I'm about ready to head on a life long adventure. To explore strange new worlds!"
Kirk monologs while he strides over to the Captains chair. His palm slides over the arm rest and guides him to his seat.
"Yes, Captain. We're about ready for launch!"
Kirk smirks and turns to a button on his seat. Once he presses it the button starts broadcasting his voice though the entire ship.
"This is your Captain speaking."
Y/n was in a room with a scanner in their hand when they quickly look up at the speaker.
"We are preparing for Launch now. So to start off our journey. Here's a little quote from the very first Starship Captain. Captain Johnathan Archer."
Y/n smiled hearing the name of a big Historical hero. looking back at the Cadet they were doing a Medical check on. Y/n delicately pushes the Cadets head to the side and presses the scanner against their neck.
"He started the voyage by saying and I quote: 'We're going to stumble, make mistakes - I'm sure more than a few, before we find our footing. But we're going to learn From those mistakes. That's what being explorers is all about.'"
Captain Kirk smiles to himself hearing a few Crew members cheer down the hallway.
"This Voyage will be long. But it's purpose is to bring species together united. To Explore and to forge alliances. With that being said! Everyone hold tight!"
Cadets suddenly run off and hold steady to a rail or to anything nailed down. A brand new ship, Y/n stumbles past everyone while packing up the equipment. They look down at the list of Cadets to check but sees one name still open.
Spock had yet to be checked. With seconds before lift off, Y/n decides that the Bridge Control room isn't too far, and they might be able to make it there on time for launch.
With a little stumble, they make their way past the cadets and run for the lift to the Bridge.
Captain Kirk on the bridge looked at his pilot and smirked.
"Hit it!"
The ship yanks a little at the sudden force blasting them into hyperspace at warpspeed.
Y/n still in the turbo lift gets yanked forward suddenly and their hand slips from the rail with a heavy thud.
Spock holds carefully and waits till they get to an even pace. He watches everyone applaud as the ship steadied and they comfortably sat at hyperspeed.
The Captain pats the pilots on the back and Uhura gives Spock a smiling nod.
The lively energy circled though the bridge, even when Y/n fell through the door holding their head people surrounded them with cheers.
They smiled, clapping along and laughing a little before silence once again fell and everyone returned to their posts.
Uhura walks up to Y/n and shakes their hand. Brief conversation that Spock couldn't hear but he could tell Y/n was anxious.
Their hands clutching onto the medical case and their shoulders tightened into a straight, tense, posture.
"Y/n!" he called.
Y/n runs over to him with a thankful smile.
"Ensign, may I enquire as to your purpose on the bridge?"
Y/n sets their equipment down and stands straight at ease.
"Sir, I was on my way to take your vitals and complete medical check up's. But I was interrupted by launch! And I took the lift-"
During Y/n's anxious ramble, Spock studied her movements and noticed a light trickle of dark blue blood coming from beneath the white hair.
"Ensign."
"Yes sir! I know it was foolish! But I wanted to finish soon to get to other duties-"
"Y/n!" Spock's sudden voice brings Y/n's attention back to look up at him.
The chatter of crewmen in the background started fading out as Y/n's heartbeat took its place.
Spock delicately moves his fingertips to the side of their head and wipes the blood away bringing Y/n's attention to it.
"I.. Fell in the lift." they confess with their hand looking for the point of injury.
Spock looks down at the medical box and lifts it back off the ground.
"Ensign. I will report to Med bay for my medical check up in two hours. For the moment, see to your own medical care. Please."
A soft plea from Spock brought Y/n's heart back to a calm beating. They inhale and exhale slowly, focusing back on the problem at hand.
"Yes sir! I will be ready once you arrive!" Y/n says with a determined smile.
They take the bag with new found bravery but once again shyly smile at Spock before walking to the lift.
Uhura watches Y/n walk off and the doors slide shut as Uhura arrives at Spock's side.
"You saw it too?" Uhura questions still watching the lift doors.
"Yes. No Antenna scaring or any signs of growth. Andorian's antenna usually grow back in a matter of weeks."
Spock turns to Uhura and they start their deduction.
Spock continues :
"I considered the fact that it was a Chemical accident into my theory. However even a chemical wound wouldn't stop antennae from growth."
Uhura taps her finger on her folded arms while nodding in agreement.
"Y/n's accent has no clear signs of being raised in an andorian environment. No matter how faint the accent is. As the Communications officer I can hear it."
Spock takes a tablet off his desk and opens Y/n's profile once more.
"Y/n is not Andorian."
I had fun writing but I'm not sure If it'll become an ongoing series. 👀🖖If you enjoyed this and want a part two please let me know in the comments!
Pacing up and down the room as she listened to the ringing phone. Continued, endless ringing is all she heard.
Her wall was gone, but the dark room and vague moonlight made for good cover from any onlookers.
"Reporter!" Batman growled causing her to jump.
She clenches her phone, looking at Batman and Superman who were hidden in the back of the room.
"Just! A few more minutes. Please! I have to know if he's ok!"
Batman walks up to her with clenched fists.
"We checked the entire building, he's safe!"
Y/n clenched her teeth before yelling.
"How could you know that?! What if he came in while I wasn't in control! What if he tried to get me to calm down and I threw him across the city!"
Superman watches Y/n break down into tears worried for him, but he couldn't say anything.
Y/n turned her back to Batman and hit the call button again listening to its endless ringing.
Superman sighs.
"Y/n, we have to leave! We need more information on-"
"I'm not leaving until I'm sure Clark is SAFE!"
Her voice echoed through the night air and everything fell silent.
Superman could hear her heavy breathing and worried heart. Until his ears picked up something else.
The door to the apartment suddenly swung open. Batman stood on guard with batarangs in hand.
"Y/n?"
In stumbled a panicked, Clark Kent? His body shape and expression matched perfectly.
Y/n gasps and drops her phone onto the wooden floor. She jump hugs Clark, who grabs her and pulls her tightly against his chest keeping her head hidden in it.
"I'm so glad you're ok, Clark! I thought I'd killed you!" Y/n sobs wrapping her arms around clark tightly.
This 'Clark' makes eye contact with Superman and Batman.
Batman didn't believe it, and Superman for sure wasn't having it.
They were both ready to jump this obvious fake, until a voice streamed into their heads. A familiar voice they knew all too well. The voice of J'onn J'onzz.
'Fear not friends. I'm here to help de-escalate the situation.' He speaks.
The red eyed, shape shifting alien, now disguised as Clark Kent. Nodded at the hero's saying it was ok and they both stood down.
Clark looks back down at Y/n and pats her head.
"I'm alright! I just ran into some things to do, when I saw the apartment from the street, I panicked!" he said very convincingly.
Y/n looks up at Clark with a whimper, then punching him on his shoulder.
"Asshole! You scared me so much, glasses."
Clark only smiles taking her hands in his then giving them a small squeeze.
"I'm sorry Y/n, But I'm more worried about what happened here!"
Batman takes this opportunity to chip in.
"Things got a little more complicated. I'm afraid we'll need to take Y/n to a more secure location."
Y/n bites her lip and kneels down to pick up her phone that had acquired alot more cracks because of Y/n's sudden throw.
She taps the phone against her hand thinking for a little.
She turns to Clark and slowly places the phone in his hand.
"I'm.. Gonna need a really big favor." her breathing shutters a little but she keeps her breathing steady.
"I need you to move my things into a storage.. At least until I can figure all this out."
She glances over at the broken wall then adds.
"And fix the wall!"
Her hands shaky but she pushes them into a comforting self hug.
Clark looks at her and slowly nods pushing the phone into his pocket.
"You can count on me! But... Will you be ok?"
Y/n forces a smile and nods.
"Sure! I mean, I have the actual Superman and Batman looking out for me!"
She glances over at the hero's. Superman smiles in turn and offers his hand to her.
Y/n felt her smile turn a bit more genuine, she turns to place a small kiss on Clark's cheek, then slips her hand onto Superman's.
"I'll be back, and maybe after that.. We can talk about that dinner?" she hesitated until Clark nodded.
Saying their vague goodbyes, they made their way out of the building leaving Clark behind.
Once on the street, Superman still held Y/n's shaky hand delicately rubbing it with his thumb.
Batman's Cape flutters in the wind as he makes a few arrangements on the keyboard on his cuff.
"Where are we going?" she asks.
Batman looks at Superman, contemplating, then at Y/n once he's content.
"Against my better judgment, we're taking you to a very secret place. But we need to stop at the cave first! Superman. I'll meet you there."
Not a second passes and he's suddenly zooming off in the bat mobile.
"Um.. How am I supposed to get there!?" She yells after him with hands firmly on her sides.
Superman clears his throat making her look back at him.
A dimlit S symbol, shimmering in the street light, floating a few feet above the ground.
Once again he offers his hand and Y/n felt her stomach drop.
"Oh shi-"
Suddenly she's whooshing straight up into the sky with her arms around Superman's neck and his arm secured around her waist. The other fist stretched out infront of him for trajectory.
Y/n, with closed eyes, bites down on her lip trying not to scream any more than she already had.
"You can't keep your eyes closed the whole time." Superman teases and stops to float silently in the air.
"Yes! I can! I will keep closing my eyes and imagining I am within reasonable distance from the ground!"
Superman's lighthearted chuckle makes her smile a little.
"Just a little peek? You'll see something surprising!"
Y/n grumbles a little before slowly open one eye then both as she looks down.
Her head spins and she suddenly inhales tensing back up. Superman stops her freak out, when he pushes her head to look at him.
"Not down! Look up." he whispers, pushing her head to look up.
Other than the dark cloud of Metropolis below, Y/n is faced with a glittering symphony of stars above her. Millions of suger grains scattered across a black abyss. A beautiful night sky that would've been missed underneath the gloom of the clouds.
She laughs in bewilderment not looking away. Suddenly her fear evaporated and bravery took its place.
"Hold onto my legs! Don't let go or I swear I will tell everyone about your red underwear faze!"
With a playful threat she places her hands onto Superman's shoulders and pushes herself up for a better view.
Superman's arms are around her thighs, holding them tight enough to try and tame their shaking.
Knowing she wouldn't fall, he watched her eyes and heared every happy belly laugh she had.
She hesitates for a second lifting and quickly pulling her arms back.
"Go for it, Y/n!" Superman encouraged.
She clenches her teeth, building up courage then slowly lifts her arms into the air.
"This is so much better than the Gotham Observatory! It's like a never ending bath bomb!"
She chanted loudly with giggles streaming behind.
Kal-el had never seen this much excitement for something he'd seen a million times. Y/n's laughter echoed in his ears like jingle bells.
Y/n looked down at Superman, placing her hands back on his shoulders for support.
"You've probably heard this a million times before, but Thank you, Superman." she said genuinely, feeling Superman slip her back down to eye level.
She places a small kiss on his cheek then quickly looks back at the stars.
Superman's heart beats faster and he gives her a small squeeze.
"Your welcome, Y/n."
A few weeks later, in the Luthor building, in a not so conspicuous basement. Lex is busy typing on a keyboard. Joker spinning on a chair with a gun waving in his hand.
"Why are we still waiting! "Joker yells obnoxiously.
"Because Luthor lost our toy." a Scarecrow hisses in the background, tinkering with his mask.
Lex slams his fist onto the table and growls.
"I didn't LOSE her! She's just out of range! My Nano-bots can't get a signal!"
He yells in frustration and sweeps all his mechanics off the table. His breathing heavy with an angry snarl on his face.
"Atleast with Batman, he would've been in Gotham half the time! We could've just used it on him!" Joker growls.
Lex clenches his teeth thinking for a second.
"No, no! She was a stroke of luck! I just need to think!"
Once an idea hits his brain he stands straight and flicks his suit back into shape.
"Gentlemen, we might need to recruit somone of a different nature. Somone suited to find our weapon."
He pulls a phone from his pocket then types in a few numbers. Joker and Scarecrow make their way to the table surrounding the phone that has now been placed in the center of it.
A single light illuminating the three villains faces and a humming ring. The phone clicks, and a voice answers.
"Lex Luthor, my favorite cash cow~"
"Floyd Lawton. You were quick to pick up!"
Lex smirks listening to the Mercenary.
"What can I say! I'm always looking out for good paying jobs. Who can I kill for ya?" the sound of a spinning gun in the background of the call.
Lex folds his arms and stands straight.
"I need you to find somone. And if possible. Bring them to me."
He leans forward, typing then sending a file through to Deadshot.
Once the file is recived, there's a second of awkward silence from Deadshot. Lex shared a glance with Scarecrow before he asks.
"Know her?"
Deadshot stays quiet for a second.
"I know her old man. He used to be an Arkam Prison guard."
"Know?" Joker quickly chips in.
Another long silence makes it obvious that Floyd answered all the questions he wanted to. Lex shakes off the question.
"Will you take the job?"
"Yeah, I'll take it. Don't worry about payment. This one is a personal favor." Just like that, the call ends.
Y/n was sitting at the big circular window, watching the globe spin below.
The Justice League Space station. Watch tower. She'd been living among supers who were eager to help.
A room dedicated to her, and a few small things like plants, picture frames, a tv. And of course the note book Batman returned to her.
The doors slide open and pull Y/n out of her trance. Martin Manhunter walks in. A beautifully made meal in his hands, courtesy of a chef-bot.
"Ms, L/n?" He asks
"C'mon J'onn it's been a while! My name is Y/n." she smiles taking the meal from his hands.
She sighs a little then places it down on the bed then sitting beside it. Her access to the mass Hall was prohibited, for superhero's privacy reasons.
"Alright! Hit me with the needles!" she exclaims holding out her arms.
J'onn smiles and pushes her arms down as he walks by to sit beside her.
"I think the Batman has enough blood samples. Any more and he might be mistaken for a Vampire!" he chuckles with Y/n.
"I can see the headlines now! 'Darkness! Vengeance! And... A lust for blood?'"
Another bit of light snickering fills the room until it fades back into silence.
"I sense some sadness in your optimism."
Y/n pulls her knees to her chest and sighs.
"Sorry J'onn, just feeling a little.. Hopeless?"
A delicate hand pats her back, her new found friend comforts her.
"Perhaps, we should continue with the next episode of 'Dancing Damsel'. I cannot wait any longer to see if Derek will purpose to Lilly."
He teases.
Y/n gasps and shakes her head rapidly.
"In your dreams! She deserves Jared! Not Derek." she's quickly to crawl over the bed to grab the remote to the tv.
Just as she hits the button a voice captures her attention.
"I personally think she should've stayed with Abigail in season 1." Superman stood in the doorway with a happy smirk.
"Sorry to interrupt Y/n. But Batman needs you."
He requests, his eyes looking over at her full plate still on the bed.
Y/n stands up and crosses her arms. Her body tense once again ready for more tests.
Superman sees her panic. He takes her hand and unfolds her arms.
"No more tests. He thinks he found a way to take the nanotechnology out of your head."
Y/n's heart picks up just a little and she's quick to hug Superman. The hugs lasts long enough for Superman to smile down at her.
An excited skip in her step, she runs back to her shoes and slips them on. She runs past Superman and grabs his hand dragging him along.
"Don't watch the next episode without me J'onn!" she yells back.
J'onn only chuckles at her sudden hope as the doors slide shut.
The night was quiet, with the excuse of some crickets and some very far off city parties. Y/n was asleep in bed with her head buried in Jason's bare chest.
The curtains blew gently in the wind letting the cool night air circulate though the room.
For once she looked normal. No clown makeup or wildly tied hair. Just a big T-shirt from Jay keeping her comfortable.
Y/n had a few days to calmly sleep where no villain would touch her to get to the Joker or late night bank robberies she had to wake up for.
But somehow this peace of mind didn't last long. Her body suddenly tenses up and her body lashes into a cold sweat.
Jason is first wake up when Y/n's nails scratch into his stomach.
"Ugh! Shit." he swears under his breath.
He delicately blinks before wiggling his body down to her level. Using his hand to cup her cheek.
"Hey, baby it's ok. Shh. Wake up."
His voice so smooth that even flower petals would be jealous. Knowing exactly what Y/n is feeling and having experience with traumatic Villain's, he tried to handle Y/n's nightmare with care.
Y/n's tense body suddenly jumps awake and her eyes were wet with tears. She looks up at Jason with glossy eyes, and in return he only smiles.
"Hey there beautiful, you're safe."
Y/n looks down at her hands before clenching her firsts seeing the scratch marks on Jay's stomach.
"Jason, I'm-" she couldn't manage another word before her face pulls into a sudden sobbing cry.
Jason pulls her back into his chest keeping her tightly in his grasp. Protected from all else lurking beyond the walls of the manner.
His fingertips comb though her hair and his arm tightens around her torso. A comforting pressure he knew she loved to feel.
"It's ok baby, I'm fine. Promise!"
He places butterfly kisses onto her head, reminding her that he's there to help her in any way possible.
Y/n sobbed for a few minutes after, with Jason not once telling her to stop and letting her feel for the first time in months.
Once she finally manage to catch her breath she rubs her nose with the back of her hand.
Jason smiles warmly again and places a small kiss on her tear stricken cheek.
"Let's go get some fresh air, Yeah? I'll show you my new favorite hiding spot."
He offers, combing Y/n's hair from her face. She nods in return and slowly gets up with Jason holding her hand.
They ran down the hallway barefoot like little children again making Y/n smile as they did, until Jason finally stopped at the window.
He pushes it open and moves his head outside for a peak.
"Jason.." Y/n says with a suspicious tone.
In return she only receives a mischievous smirk from Jason who was leaning against the windowsill.
With no effort at all, he falls back and out of the two story window. Y/n's eyes widen suddenly and she runs to try and grab him.
"JASON!" She yells worried pushing her upper body out of the window looking down.
Only for a sneaky kiss to hit her lips as Jason zips up with a grappling hook.
"Shh, you're gonna wake everyone up!" he teases watching Y/n pout.
He reaches around her waist and delicately pulls her out of the window for them both to be left hanging outside.
Y/n hurriedly grabs onto Jason's neck pulling herself against him while he held her around her waist.
With a zip their pulled up the side of the building until finally they reach the rooftop.
Slightly slanted with tiles threatening to slip out, and a buzzing city up ahead. Police sirens were faint but definitely audible, making Y/n wonder who's on patrol tonight.
She and Jason cuddled on the roof with her sat between his legs while he leaned back on his arms.
"So, are you gonna tell me what that nightmare was about?" he asked making Y/n flinch.
He pushed himself up resting his chin on her shoulder.
Y/n smiled and gave the side of his head a kiss. He moved his one arm around her waist trying to comfort her.
"It's a dream I haven't had since the first night in Jokers base."
"Hmm?"
Jason questioned, listening patiently.
"It's about you, what Joker did to you.."
Y/n tensed up.
"Joker talks about it alot. It's hard to bare sometimes. But in the dream, I was there. Watching you bleed out, tied to a chair with a smile painted onto your mouth with you own blood!"
Her breathing becomes shaky again and she starts picking it her fingernails.
"I'm hitting you, over and over! And I can't stop laughing!"
She clenches her jaw.
"Joker told me once, that you'd been beaten so badly that you started laughing-"
Jason quickly pushes his hand over her mouth feeling his body shiver a little from the memories.
"Y/n, please.. Don't."
Y/n finally turns back to look at Jason. His head down and his breathing rapid.
Y/n cups his face delicately pushing it to look up at her.
"Jason, I'm sorry." she tries to comfort him by rubbing his cheek with her thumb. She pushed his hair from his forehead and placed a kiss on it.
"No, it's ok. I asked." he trembled and took her hands in his.
"He's destroyed us both. Yet you've had to stay with him. Love him?" he growls with his fear turning to anger.
"This has to stop Y/n!"
His firsts clench with an angry growl.
Y/n Quickly shakes her head looking down.
"I can't Jason, I promised Bruce I'd get enough info to cut Joker off from inside. Hurt him till he can't recover!"
"HE'S ALREDY DONE THAT!" Jason yells.
"To you! To me! And to most of Gotham!"
Angry adrenaline rushed to his body causing him to stand up and walk a little further from Y/n.
Y/n knew this would happen. Jason got so angry at times that he needed to step back. His muscles tense and he becomes a little aggressive. That's why he made an effort to distance himself from her, to not hurt her.
"He's ruining my life without knowing it! He's keeping you to himself! Kissing you! Touching you! Torturing you. I can't even look at him without seeing his disgusting mouth on you!"
Jason suddenly swings and hits one of the chimney walls with full force. He may not be a Meta human or super, but all his life's training made him stronger than normal.
A very small crack formed in the bricks of the chimney. His body heaving with pent up anger.
Y/n waited a second, watching his tense back, before walking behind him and wrapping her arms around his torso.
She stood still, only holding him until he made another move. Like a elephant trying not to crush a dandelion.
Eventually his muscles relax and he turns around to look at Y/n pulling her into a hug.
A quiet sunrise sneaks up on them while they both bask in each other's comfortable embrace.
"Soon Jason, I'll get myself out. And I'll be here with you. I just need to take Joker down."
He nods, understanding her decision and pushing her head up, he kisses her gently with a mixture of bitter sadness in between.
~~~
"Alfred!" yelled from the kitchen, by a flour covered Tim Drake.
A mixing bowl in his arms, as sizzling pancakes burnt on the pan.
A well dressed butler enters the kitchen and casually lifts the pan off the stove.
"Yes, master Drake?" he questions as he flips the pan upside down letting the burnt pancakes fall into the bin.
"You have to help! Y/n is gonna wake up soon and I want to make her favorite!" Tim panics trying to page through the recipe book with dough covered hands.
Alfred smiles and softly takes the bowl from Tim's arms. He takes the milk and adds a little more to the mixture.
"Please cut the stems off the strawberries, Master Drake."
He nods and runs off to the cutting board. Suddenly the door is kicked open with a thud.
"I've got the oranges!!" Dick pants as he carries two large bags of oranges into the kitchen.
"Don't tell Bruce I grabbed them from his tree! He'll be pissed!"
"Too late!" warns Bruce with crossed arms in the doorway. He chuckled a little at Dicks panicked expression.
Damian runs by Bruce and immediately takes a seat next to Tim, sneakily grabbing a strawberry.
Tim growls and grabs the strawberry back.
"Hey! That's for Y/n! Wait."
Damian sends him a death glare and snatches another one, this time running from Tim's reach.
It's chaos in the kitchen when everyone tries to cook breakfast and make fresh orange juice.
Around the corner Y/n stood listening to the chaos. She was dressed in some jeans and one of Jason's sweaters.
She takes small steps towards Tim who was hyper focused on cutting the strawberries.
With a sudden swing of her arms, she swoops Tim off the seat and spins him around. Damian grabbing the chair before it hit the floor.
"Whoa! Y/N!" He laughs.
Everyone's eyes light up seeing her back in the manner. She giggles setting Tim back down, who spins around in his excitement.
Not realizing he still had a knife from the strawberries still in his hand.
He runs up to Y/n, but instead of an excited smile, Y/n's instincts kick in. She grabs hold of Tim's wrist and twists it until he drops the knife.
Tim whines at her tight grip. And Bruce quickly steps in.
"Y/n!"
Y/n's head snaps back and she gently drops Tim's wrist. She takes a deep breath and smiles again.
"Sorry, Tim. You caught me off guard!"
Tim shakes his head and smiles back at Y/n.
"I know better. I'm sorry!"
Completely wiping the sour moment from the sweet memory, he drags her into the kitchen and shows her his pancakes.
Dick makes quick work of the orange and pours her a glass.
"Milady!" he smoothly slides the glass across the table.
Y/n smiles grabbing it before it hit the floor.
"Good to see you, Mistress L/n."
"Thank you Alfred!" she laughs taking in the deep smell of her favorite breakfast.
Their chatter dims out as Bruce picks up the knife off the ground. He looks at Jason who'd been standing in the hallway watching the entire thing.
They share a mutual worried look before Jason walks into the kitchen beside Y/n.
A few hours after breakfast Y/n was infront of the bat computer, in the echoing bat cave.
Her fingertips flew over the keypad as she brought up multiple villainous faces onto the screen.
Bruce stood close behind with Jason slanted over the chair. Eyes closely watching the screen.
"These are the jokers informants in the GCPD. Commissioner Gordon should know how to handle them quietly."
She squeezes her eyes shut and slants her head down.
"Um... Hold on. I'm trying to remember."
She bites her bottom lip and clenches her fists. Her memories slipping away from the amount of names and information she had to remember.
Bruce delicately places his hand on her back and pats it a little.
"That's good Y/n, don't strain yourself. We have over one hundred and fifty names here. That's enough for now."
Y/n sighs and looks back at Jason who wore a proud smile.
She smiled back and walked over to him taking a seat on his lap and flopping onto his chest with a hefty sigh.
He chuckled at her and started to delicately twist his fingers through her hair.
"I don't see why she's so important!" a voice echos from one of the platforms.
Damian sat cross-legged on one of the tables with a cloth cleaning one of his katanas.
His expression wasn't impressed as he slipped down from his seat and walked up them.
"It's simple enough to be under cover! But how hard can it be to remember a few names?"
Jason quickly growls and was about to yell at the disrespectful little boy, until Y/n put her hand over his mouth and she smirked.
"Alright then!" she says slipping off Jason's lap and walking up to Damian, squaring him up.
"I propose a duel! One of memory and skill!"
Damian makes eye contact and tilts his head, his interest peaked.
Y/n smiles on the inside and explains:
"The computer will simulate random "Karate Kata's" of.. Lets say 200 moves. We will each be told each move beforehand. Then need to preform them right after. Last one to forget a move wins. "
(Definition of Karate Kata : A choreographed series of Karate moves preformed in a certain order to create a full kata. Each kata generally has 20-70 moves.)
Damian takes a second to think placing his hand on his chin.
"We will each be given different Kata's to avoid cheating from the opposing side."
"Agreed!" Y/n says.
Damian sticks his hand out and Y/n shakes it with confidence.
"Now this might be interesting." Bruce mutters in the background.
Sneakily he leans over the desk and holds down a button on the bat computer.
"Hey boys, you might wanna come down and see this~"
He hums, calling the rest of the bat family from upstairs.
Ten minutes later, the smell of popcorn and competition filled the air. Y/n and Damian were situated beside each other on a dojo mat.
Jason, Dick, Tim, Bruce and the one and only Alfred came to watch the spectacle.
With a comm in each of their ears, Y/n and Damian give a bow before taking starting positions. Firsts by their hips and feet apart.
"Computer, send the kata's to their comm's." Bruce gives the starting command.
Y/n closes her eyes to listen while Damian stares into the abyss, both absorbing the info being fed to them.
Moments later they both yell "Ready!"
Bruce drops his arm like the flag at a race track, and watch them both start moving.
Starting with a forward Punch and a sudden back kick, Damian had to dodge quickly.
"Oops! Better stay focused!"
She teases and Damian growls not missing a step in his own Kata.
Every so often they both would have near misses. Almost tripping, punching or kicking each other. This kept their onlookers on their toes.
Nearing the end, Damian starts to slow down, hesitating before every move. Y/ also hesitated once or twice.
Y/n takes a peak back at Damian who was nearing the end of what he could remember. Y/n felt a twinge of guilt in her heart and immediately threw her hands in the air.
"Damn! I really don't remember that well!"
Damian looks back at her somewhat relived but quickly switches back to his serious exterior.
Standing straight, and walking over to Y/n. He shared a hand shake with her.
Even tho everyone knew Y/n threw the game, it was important that Damian wasn't embarrassed infront of his brothers, who's respect he treasured.
"Still, getting this far is a impressive feat. Good game!" Damian smiles a little at Y/n.
Y/n couldn't help the adorable smile, from Damian, becoming her to hug him! Damian's eyes widen and he tries pushing her off.
"Jason!! She has me in her grip!" he calls out for help but Jason chuckles.
"Yeah! I'd say you've got about three seconds before she cuts off your oxygen."
The entire family quickly breaks out in a laugh fest! Watching Y/n share her affection to, what is basically a blushing brick wall.
Damian continues his struggle for a moment until red lights start flaring up.
Everyone's attention now looking at the bat computer waiting for a status report. From laughing family to distributers of justice.
"Oncoming call from Comissioner Gordon." the computer states. Bruce lifts a phone to his ear and nods.
Quickly, Jim's voice beams through the speaker.
"We have a problem. Joker has planted a toxin bomb into Gotham mall. He's holding hostages and is demanding to see Red hood annd Batman."
Bruce squints at the phone before turning his gaze to Y/n.
"On our way." he says finally ending the call.
Y/n felt her breathing catch in her throat and her fists clench.
"He's throwing a tantrum. He's looking for her!" Jason growls standing stiff and ready to fight.
Bruce nods and walks quickly towards the bat suits delicately displayed on mannequins.
"She's set to transport to Arkam tomorrow. But my geuss is that Joker can't wait that long. Dick, Jason, with me!"
Jason growls loudly again and stomps off after Bruce.
Quickly getting dressed. Y/n watches Jason pull two guns from the shelf and shove it into his holsters.
His brown jacket in Y/n's arms leaving him in a black, sleeveless, turtle neck shirt. His movements angry and frustrated.
"Jason.." Y/n whispers.
"What!" he quips.
Y/n flinches gripping the leather in her hands.
Jason's gaze softens with a soft exhale.
"I'm sorry, doll." he walks up to her and places his hands on her arms rubbing them up and down.
She looks down at his brown leather jacket and whispers.
"I know, you're not excited to see the 'other boyfriend' right now. But you can't hurt Joker. He has to break me out of the transport van tomorrow! I... Can't go back to Arkam."
Her grip tightens on the jacket, memories of her parents threatening to flood back.
Jason sighs and pulls her into a small kiss.
"I can't promise that I won't punch him. And I won't allow you to go back there. Not until you're ready."
He whispers to her, giving her arms a gentle squeeze of comfort.
Y/n pushes the jacket onto Jason's chest.
"You need to go."
Jason takes his jacket and swings it over his shoulders leaving Y/n behind with a final whisper.

The rain was soft, soft enough to keep a window open for Y/n to breath in the fresh rain smell.
She pulled her heavy, tierd, body off the bed. Rubbing her eyes, she leaned onto the windowsill and listen to the extra angry drivers on the road below.
Y/n's apartment was on the third floor of a 5 story apartment building. Beautifully snuggled in the middle with just enough hight to see a sunset or two when their there.
She takes a deep breath filling her lungs with a well deserved breather, until a very unexpected headache hit her.
A familiar one she'd had before along with a harsh beeping in her head. Loud enough to tone out the rain and hone in on the loud noise.
She grits her teeth and pinches her temple hard feeling her whole body rumble though the piercing headache.
"Y/n?"
Clark's voice comes from behind her and the headache suddenly stops.
She turns back to see him hesitantly push the door open with his arm. He held two cups of coffee in his hands and wore only some light blue pajama pants.
Without his shirt, Y/n could see his built torso and broad shoulders. She'd never realized how incredibly buff he was underneath that button up shirt and jacket he wore most of the time.
She smiled seeing the glasses he wore slip off his nose only for him to push it back up with the back of his wrist.
"I made some coffee. Can I come in?"
His polite voice instantly evaporated the headache Y/n had brewing in her skull.
"Yeah! Come in."
She bit her lip trying to avoid stareing at his chest and biceps before delicately taking the cup.
Clark had stayed with her the night before to keep an eye on her, aswell as give her some piece of mind.
"Was the couch ok?" Y/n asked leaning onto the windowsill.
Clark nodded before sitting on the foot of the bed. For some people it would be strange having a friend join them for a morning coffee in their bedroom. But for Y/n and Clark they were comfortable enough in each other's presence to share a rainy morning together.
"How are you feeling? Did your hand start bleeding again?"
Y/n lifted her palm to look at the fading scar.
"No? Honestly, I'm surprised it healed up so fast? It's almost Super!"
Clark suddenly chokes on his sip of coffee before regaining composure.
Y/n starts laughing a little before squinting.
"What? Did I say something funny?"
"No! No! Just hot coffee!" he quickly makes up an excuse.
Clark looked at Y/n's worried face for a second before sending a comforting smile her way.
She blushes a little and looks away.
"So! I was thinking about this whole story. The acidic blood? Hallucinations? There's gotta be something big! If Joker is behind this, why not just use Joker venom again? Then two other villains toxins! So I've been looking into other Gotham villains with toxic traits? Then there was.. "
Clark listens to every word Y/n says, absorbing every thought her brain has. But at the same time he couldn't help looking at her figure, a beautiful figure that expressed itself with every passionate movement as Y/n explained.
This moment is unfortunately ruined when Clark's ears pick up a scream across the city. A car crash that lead to a pile up.
He knew as superman he had the responsibility to run off and save the rainy day.
He puts the coffee down and stands up suddenly.
"Clark?" Y/n questions.
He walks over to her and pushes hairs from her forehead. With a warm smile he leans down to her level and places a kiss on her head.
"Hold that thought, I'll go grab us some things from the store and we'll talk over pancakes."
He rushes out the door closing it behind him, leaving Y/n flattered but a little confused at the sudden rush.
"Geuss he was hungry?" she said tracing over the spot on her head where Clark had kissed.
She chuckled and finished her coffee quick.
"I think a shower would be good while he's at the store!"
Taking a towel from the cupboard she walks to the bathroom. Opening the tap, the warm water rushes through the pipes to make a comfortable hissing shower.
Y/n growls still feeling the headache threatening to rush into her brain again.
"Damn! I really need to ask Bats about this. It's getting really loud!"
She blinks a little and steps into a warm shower feeling the water fall over her face.
The warmth of the shower was calming in the cold rainy weather. Her thoughts were finally quiet.
Until her lips twist into a smile and she could feel the water turn heavy.
With an uncontrolled chuckle surprising her, she quickly holds her mouth shut.
"Not again!"
She opens her eyes slowly to see black liquid coming from the shower head. A black liquid filling up the shower floor and holding her feet stead fast.
"Ok! Ok! Breath!" she takes a deep breath and closes her eyes again.
"It's not real! It's not-" she repeated only for a laugh to once again force it's way out of her throat.
She clenches her teeth but the laughing keeps coming until she's finally on her knees holding her head. A spiral of laughter and a ear piercing ringing in her head.

Superman carried two small boys in his arms and flew over the heap of cars to a crying mother.
"Here! Now go to the paramedics to get checked out!" he ushers them on.
The mother pushes the boys into a stiff hug and thanks superman for his help.
He quickly flew back to the cars and lifted the top one off the pile, placing it right side up on the side of the road.
One by one he lifted before reaching a man hiding in the back seat of a cab. Finally seeing Superman, he is yanked out of the cars and set down on safe ground for paramedics to carry him off on a stretcher.
Using X-ray vision he scans for any other survivers before nodding to the police officers.
"That's everyone! Any other accidents that the paramedics can't get to?"
One of the older officers pushes a button on the walkie talkie buttoned onto his shoulder. He listens for a few seconds before confirmed.
"The rain is picking up! We have another accident on Main street! People forget how to drive when it rains!"
Superman nods.
"On it!"
A sudden sonic boom as he flys off reaching the next accident. A car ran into a fire hydrant and another flipped onto its back.
It's been hours. And Superman was flying through heavy rain to get to all the accidents with car crashes and people slipping from high un-railed rooftops.
Once he could catch a breath the sun had set, but the thick clouds covered the city in a gray darkness.
"Superman!" a dark voice appears on Superman's comm.
He was floating above the city looking over it for anything else he could get to.
"I'm here."
"Good! Are you with the Reporter?"
Superman clenches his teeth and immediately he's flying towards Y/n's apartment.
"No, why?"
Batman's voice is stern.
"The notes she made, gave me some insight to what she was feeling. The ringing she could hear made me do a MRI, scan of the blood sample and I found something worrying."
Superman's speed increases as he does stiff turns around buildings causing the rain to part out of his way and windows to shake. He listened intently as Batman explained.
"A nano-bot. Small robots in the blood stream, from its shape it's built to latch onto a specific type of skin tissue. Brain tissue."
Superman finally lands on the apartment fire escape and rushes through the open window.
"The beeping she described was the nano-bot's getting a signal from somewhere, someone. There's only one person who could develop this kind of intelligent technology, Lex Luthor."
Superman looks through the apartment rushing into Y/n's room seeing her in the corner facing the wall.
Heavy breathing, soft chucking as she hits her head with her palm. She was dressed in a sweater and sweatpants, but shampoo still in her hair and no shoes.
Superman is quick with super speed grabbing her hand stopping her from hitting herself.
"Y/n! Stop, look at me!"
In a string of crescendoing laughter she turns her head to look at superman.
Her eyes were no longer their normal color, instead it was a foggy green with the pupil barely visible.
"Hello Superman." she says with a horrific smile grabbing onto superman's arm.
With a sudden strength she swings superman over her shoulder and he crashes through the brick wall.
Superman is caught off guard just long enough for Y/n to stand straight and drag her nails across the palm of her own hand.
Just before the cement dust could settle Y/n jumps right at superman still three stories high latching onto his body.
With a terrifying smile she pushes her bloody palm down on Superman's cheek causing him to pull away.
"Y/N!" He yells at her watching her fall with a crash into the street below.
Superman grunts in pain feeling a sizzling pain on his face. Pealing away layer by layer superman's cheek turns bloody. Y/n's blood, burns Superman's skin? The man of steel! The superman!
He flies down and lands on the street, to see what had become of Y/n, only to watch her lift her broken body to a stand.
Her bones snapping back into place and wounds healing back up. Clothes ripped but she stood strong enough to laugh a little more.
The blood that remained from her devastating fall had burned through the concrete road until it hit the dirt deep beneath it.
Superman was dumbfounded, but at his sizzling face healed he sped his way towards Y/n giving her a bear hug.
"Y/n! Listen to me! Snap out of it!"
Y/n struggled in his grip kicking and pushing her bloody palm against superman's torso but he didn't budge.
"Ugh! Batman! She's not responding!"
With a second to think. Y/n bites down on her bottom lip suddenly before spitting the blood right into superman's face.
Superman, not used to any pain let's go of her and pulls back. He holds his eye feeling it sizzle and burn.
Y/n runs towards him and kicks superman's side with added inhumane strength. Superman blocks with his forearms and grabs her leg.
"I'm not gonna hurt you, Y/n!"
Not responding Y/n twists her body enough to get out of Superman's grip, just in time for superman's eye to heal back up.
Y/n smirks with fists clenched and her body pushes off the ground going full speed towards superman who bases himself for a another blow.
"That's enough." a voice in Y/n's head says and suddenly her eyes gloss over back to their original color.
She hits Superman's chest with full force then stumbles back.
Her hand quickly covers her nose and she yells in pain.
"Ugh! Holy cheese crackers!"
She slowly looks up at Superman still standing sted fast infront of her causing her to panic.
"What the hell! What happened!" she panics in a muffled voice.
Superman is still cautious but delicately helps her to her feet.
"Your name?"
"Huh?"
"Whats your name?" Superman asks eagerly.
Y/n lifts an eyebrow and pulls her hand away from her nose.
"Y/n L/n."
Still confused she looks around. The road beneath her bare feet broken into bits. Like a wrecking ball was dropped by accident.
A hole in her apartment walll with loose bricks still dropping and loose bits of debris.
There was blood dripping from her nose, knuckles, hands and from cuts on her body.
Her hand delicately moves to her throat and again new claw marks shocked her.
She looks superman dead in the eyes and tries to hold back the lump in her throat that wanted to cause a breakdown.
"Call Batman."
Superman watches her movements, listens to her heartbeat picking up and smelling the salt in her tears.
Not far down the street, a small drone hovers with silent propellers.
Watching Y/n and Superman through the drone camera, in a dark room was Lex Luthor.
His fingers braided together as he watched the screen intently. His office high up in the Lex corp building seemed like the least conspicuous place.
His suit neat and tidy, only for a laughing Joker to stumble his way beside Lex.
"Oh~ why'd you stop! It was just starting to get fun!"
Lex pushes Joker off him and growls.
"This was only a test. We know the Multi-Serum works. And along with the Nano-bots, we can trigger a weapon any time we'd like."
Joker clenches his teeth.
"You said we'd pit Batsy and Superman against each other! Not this pathetic girl!"
Lex walks over to a pin board in the room with many pictures of Y/n and files dedicated to her history pinned onto it.
"Perhaps we got a stroke of luck. Superman would be much less willing to fight an innocent. In the process of trying to save her, she could kill him when his guard is down."
He smirks tracing photo of Y/n with the back of his curled finger.
"This... Y/n, is perfect. She's my best creation-"
"Ehem! Our creation." The voice of Scarecrow objects.
Looking to the side, Lex looked at Scarecrow on the couch with a horrific mask on.
Y/n just captured by Batman and Red Hood. Only for them to come face to face with her in Wayne mannor. Y/n took the first opportunity she got to dive Jason.
"I'm gonna KILL you, Jason!"
She yelled looking down at the blue eyed boy, dark fluffy hair with a white streak through the front. Jason Todd. The one and only Vigilante Red Hood.
He slowly smirks and moves his hand onto Y/n's cheek giving it a gentle rub with his thumb.
"I missed you too, babe."
He whispers watching Y/n smile for a second before growling again.
"You could've been a little more gentle with the dart! Fake blood is hard to clean out of a clown costume!"
She stands up slowly wobbling a bit, but Jason quickly slips his arm around her waist.
"Gotcha!" he mocks while holding her steady.
"Can't be that bad? Atleast the bullet looked real? Might leave a bruise."
He boops Y/n on her nose making her look back up at him. She sighs and pushes herself onto her toes giving Jason a delicate kiss.
"Thanks for getting me out of there." she whispers against his lips until a certain bat clears his throat.
Y/n smiles and turns to the batman before jump-hugging him.
"Hey, Bruce!"
Batman was much bigger in size, so a hug from him lifted her off the ground until he sat her back down.
He pulls the cowl off his face and gives Y/n a pat on the head.
"Sorry about the wait, Y/n. We weren't sure when you'd be out again. Jason went out on every patrol."
"Awww! Jason!" she teases tossing the Red Hood helmet onto the bed.
She follows shortly after and sits on the fluffy duvet before pulling off the polkadot socks she wore.
"Joker had a long business period! I couldn't get him out of base for anything! It was constant paperwork and gun shipping."
She pulls a small piece of paper out of her sock and hands it to Batman.
"All recent shipments and crate numbers are there. You should be able to find some other interesting numbers."
She falls back onto the bed with another big sigh.
"We eventually went out, but it took a bit of teasing to get him to draw attention to us. I thew a grenade into an empty shop. I hope it helped you find us."
She glances over at Jason who had an annoyed look on his face. Y/n figured it was probably the kiss he walked in on, between her and the Joker.
Batman quickly pulls her from her thoughts.
"I'll look at this. In the mean time I'll have an armored truck take you to Arkam in two days. Best you take a shower and sleep before then. Joker is sure to take you back."
He places his hand on Jason's shoulder heading for the door.
"Y/n. Good job."
Y/n smiles getting some well deserved praise from Bruce Wayne. He finally walks out closing the door, leaving Jason and Y/n alone.
Outside the room Damian Wayne was leaning against the wall with crossed arms. The newest Robin to the family, dressed in a black turtleneck looking mature for his age. Once Bruce walks out he follows him to, presumably the Bat-cave.
"Father! Why have I never heard of this Y/n?"
Bruce unfolds the paper Y/n gave him and starts reading.
"Well, Damian. She's been undercover for a long time, and Jason talks about her alot."
Damian stops dead in his tracks in shock.
"That is his girlfriend! I thought he was making her up since we've never seen her!?"
He runs down the hallway catching up with Bruce who walks up to the piano in the middle of the study. He hits a few keys until the platform underneath their feet starts going down.
"She was before your time. I can give you her file."
Damian nods walking off the platform and into the Bat-cave.
A large caved out space with drip stone covering the walls along with Platforms holding all sorts of other bat related things. The Batmobile, Batman's suits, and finally the large screen, the bat computer.
Damian lifts himself onto the counter watching Bruce pull Y/n's file onto the screen.
A picture of a young Y/n pops up, with short hair and dyed streaks in her hair. She looked like a typical rebellious teen with an angry expression.
________
Y/n L/n. (Alias : Y/n Caster.)
Age : 20
Gotham resident.
Occupation : Criminal.
Parents : James Caster (Deceased)
Abigail Caster (Deceased)
________
Damian lifts an eyebrow and glares at Batman.
"How can her parents have the same last name as Y/n's alias?"
Bruce smirks and hits a few more buttons before another profile pops up on screen. This time a picture of Y/n with a bright smile and longer hair.
"This is her real file, albeit a little out dated."
________
Y/n L/n.
Age : 17
Gotham resident.
Occupation : Student.
Parents : Marideth L/n (Deceased)
Harrion L/n(Deceased)
________
Damian looks settled with his thoughts then asks another question.
"How did This Y/n come to work for Joker? Surely he wouldn't trust some mentally challenged girl!"
Bruce quickly snaps.
"Hey! That's rude Damian."
"Sorry. But I'm still curious!"
With a sigh Batman sits down on the chair.
"It's a long story."
Damian wiggles himself into a comfortable position and hits a button on the bat computer.
"Please bring some popcorn down to the Bat-cave, Pennyworth."
A small confirmation from Alfred and Damian eagerness to listen made Bruce chuckle.
"Very well, If you're so willing. Here's the story of my secret adopted child."
○○○
"Y/n was young at the time. Maybe just 8? Her parents worked at psych Wards all over the world, but eventually they settled at the toughest one of them all."
"Arkam Asylum." Damian answers.
"That's right!" Bruce congratulates.
A large medieval castle with a looming darkness over it. It held the laughter and cries of all their patients.
A young couple rushed into the building holding their coats over their heads. One older man is the first to shake off the droplets with his wife following behind.
"Well! Wasn't expecting your first introduction to our work to start out like that, huh, Y/n?" Her father pats her on the head as she hid underneath his coat.
Mother takes her hand and walks with her down the hallway.
"Now, honey. Remember our deal."
Y/n nods looking around curiously.
"Stay close! Only go where mom and dad says. Don't talk to patients."
Mom giggles and kisses Y/n's forehead.
"Good! Now let's get to the office before we get to the really scary patients!"
Once the family was in the cozy office, Y/n immediately took to the bookshelf covered in different old books.
Dad walks up behind her and points to one specific red colored book. 'The Phycology of a Disheveled Mind.'
He hands it to Y/n who smiles and takes a seat at the big desk with a spinning chair.
A small chuckle from dad as he kneels down beside her.
"We'll be back soon to give you a better tour, first we need to go check on some patients. Read up so I can discuss with you after ok!"
Y/n nods excitedly watching mom place a packet of gummy candies on the table.
"A surgery snack for a buzzing mind." she uses her finger to imitate a bee and makes a buzzing noise before landing her finger on Y/n's nose.
"Love you, Bee!"
Y/n laughs.
"Love you, Mom! Love you, Dad!"
They make a swift exit with clip boards in hand. Soon their both in the ward with patients all around them in cells. Bane, Scarecrow, and a few empty ones awaiting their escaped patients. Like Penguin and Dr Freeze.
"As you can see, Mr Wayne. Your sponsorship is greatly improving our necessary medicines and holding cells." Mom shows.
A young Bruce wearing a tucks and neatly combed hair looks around intently.
"I see, and The patients are treated well?" Bruce asks.
"As well as they can be treated, the staff almost treat them too nicely unfortunately. We had a Doctor try sneaking a machine gun in, a few weeks ago."
Bruce sucks air though his teethad they reached the end of the hallway.
"Well! Keep up the good work you two. I'm glad to see my funds are helping better the mental health of patients."
Saying their goodbyes, Mom and Dad make their way back down the long hallway.
Mom smiled scribbling down some notes.
"Let's get back to Y/n, I'm sure she's pretty sick of that book by now."
Dad laughs and shakes his head disagreeing.
"Our little girl is brilliant! She's probably studying that book cover to cover."
He walks up to a cell and smiles making notes. He looks up at a man wearing a top hat and a grin on his face.
"Good evening, Jervis. How are you feeling tonight."
The man only smiles with a glare towards dad. Dad sighs but keeps his smile.
"You're doing better than yesterday. Don't tell the others. But I brought you a snack!"
He places a round cookie in a tray and pushes it into the cell. With a warm smile the patient grabs the cookie and takes a small bite of it.
"Thanks, Doc!" he grumbles and continues eating the cookie.
Dad smiles happily and nods.
"Your welcome-"
A sudden explosion sends a Shockwave through the hallway causing mom and had hit the wall hard.
The entire building shakes causing Y/n to Scream. She hides under the table as the heavy bookshelf falls straight down onto the ground.
Y/n calls for Mom and Dad but the open office door beckons her to run out to find them.
Back in the Cell block. Scattered debris welcome a Crown Prince of crime, like a red carpet.
Joker was still a very young and very new Criminal in Gotham, so no one expected him to break into Arkam for reinforcements.
He laughs at the chaos he caused with alarms going off and a few Criminals running wild.
He snaps his fingers and points some of his Joker Goons towards Bane's cell.
They make use of another explosive to blast the cell door off its hinges.
Y/n runs in just in time to see her dad hunched over her mom. Mom was trapped under the heavy wall that had been blasted off.
She runs closer already starting to feel the tears run down her face.
"M-mom!"
Dad was bleeding from his head when he looked up at Y/n running towards them. A dark shadow followed behind her.
Bane was about to grab her until dad pulls Y/n behind him and out of the way, just in time for Bane to grab him instead of her.
Dad yells and struggles as Bane holds him off the ground by his head.
"Stop this Bane! We can help! We can Change what happened to- Ugh!"
Y/n stares at her dad in horror, her mom's body unmoving and bent in so many unnatural ways.
"Dad! No! Leave my dad alone!"
Y/n watches in horror before charging towards this huge man. Bane, now only using one hand to hold the entirety of Dads head, smacks Y/n into the wall with great force. A small child getting hit into a hard wall.
She blinks a few times, dizzy from impact but crawls towards her dad. A laughter fuzzy in the background, until a horrible sound fills her ears.
The cracking of bone and a mush before a final thud, as her dads head is crushed.
She froze looking at both of her parents infront of her. But only for a second until a big black cape crosses her eyesight.
"Don't look!" a growled voice. Batman came to save the day, but just too late.
He pulls her into his arms, squeezing her broken terrified body. Once he knew she was in his arms safe, he uses a grappling hook to pull them out of the chaos.

"After that, we brought her back to Wayne Manor. Even after revealing my identity, she didn't react. She was like a ragdoll for months. Dick tried everything to help her grieve."
Bruce taps his foot thinking back, feeling her little traumatized body.
"It was only after that, when we found Jason again. Jason was so battered and bruised once Joker brainwashed and tortured him. After what Joker did to him, and Joker did to her. They bonded over it."
Damian looks down at the empty popcorn bowl in his lap with a growl.
"How did she manage an under cover mission around the man who killed her parents! I would've taken the first opportunity to cut him with my katana!"
He slips off the table with an angry growl. Before he could storm off Bruce lightly pats his head getting him to calm down.
"Y/n took alot of time to train and work though her anger."
Batman quickly looks to the side when his attention is pulled by a Zooming engine.
A motorcycle echoes though the bat cave and with a screeching holt it stops on one of the platforms.
A blue bird on his chest and incredibly strong build, Dick Grayson also known as Nightwing steps off the bike and lifts his helmet off his head.
"Hey Bruce! Hey Damian!" he walks up to them lifting his mask off his face with a satisfying sigh.
He looks up at the Bat computer and his eyes light up seeing Y/n's picture.
"Y/n's back? It's been forever!"
Batman smiles and nods.
"7 months to be exact."
Damian gasps and growls annoyed.
"You knew about Y/n too?"
"Yes! I helped train her." Dick assured grabbing the empty popcorn bucket Damian was holding.
"I wanna go say Hi before she goes back undercover."
He takes a few kernels, chewing on them a little before patting Damian on the head. Bruce shakes his head and presses a few more buttons.
"Not yet! She's catching up with Jason right now. She needs rest."
Dick stops chewing for a second then places the popcorn bowl down. He looks straight at Bruce with a serious face.
"How long is this gonna go on, Bruce? How long does he have to stay near that phyco?"
Batman stops typing for a second and turns to look at his two boys waiting anxiously for an answer.
"She doesn't want to leave, I've asked her. She's determined to stay." he looks down a little worried.
"Y/n has been undercover for a long time. I'm worried that before long. She'll become Ace instead of Y/n."
