If it's one thing that is a pet peeve of mine, it's babies with no object permanence whining that they need their hands held when they watch a show I happen to love. Reddit is especially bad for this, but it's especially irritating here.
"Um, how is it realistic that x character and y character have this relationship when they never showed us this information before??? Things only exist if they're explicitly shown to me, and if the most the writers ever do is imply information then I get to decide it's bad writing!"
"Things are happening waaaaaaay too fast! Passage of time? What? Of course time can pass between unrelated events, but if you don't explicitly tell me exactly what dates these events happen and how long it takes between them, it's only natural to assume these unlikely events happened one right after the other, and that's bad storytelling!"
"Um, isn't it a bit amateurish to tell and not show [the specific context clues that were very clearly present in the narrative]? And another thing, why hasn't all the information I'll ever need to understand the world of a story drafted in an illustrated guide for me before I begin watching? Mystery? Ambiguity? Meaning I have to do the work of deciding what I think for myself until the show reveals it to me? That's not how I like to consume media, so it's obviously bad!"
"Why has character x done [specific thing with good reason the baby missed because they were either staring at their phone or just decided not to connect obvious dots] for no reason? That makes them stupid. Come to think of it, why does this character have [character flaw]? Does no one else think that's concerning? Is everyone ok with it? Did the showrunners forget that flaws are bad and people shouldn't have them?"
At least the block button exists.
im noticing the halsey/fantano conversation slowly being turned around on the freedom to express criticism, which is a valid point but not contextually relevant given his incredibly insensitive and misogynistic comments about her personal life under the guise of an 'edgy review' of their album. he hasn't "broken the pop industry" or pissed off someone who can't accept criticism, he crossed a line with a review that, instead of focusing on the actual album, invalidated the experiences the album stemmed from. he is a Loser for defending his review and funnily enough, should be more open to constructive criticism himself
Obsession is becoming a bit of a dashboard cleanser for me. So many people popping up with takes that either ignore or misrepresent the very clear message of the film that I’m happily unfollowing
Honey-Sesame Bacon - 5 Stars

Gluten free
So this is obviously a slam dunk, and you knew it just from reading the name of the recipe, right?
It's simple to make and it tastes like bacon candy. Absolutely do not use anything other than thick-cut bacon, because while the honey will caramelize on the bacon if it's thick a thinner bacon will burn, and then so will the honey. Plus the texture can't compare.
These are like crack, so if you're making this alongside something else make a double portion, because you will not be able to resist snacking on these while your other breakfast items are cooking.

i will never support anyone that publicly bashed amber heard. i stopped supporting a lot of creators and lost a lot of friends. i refuse to ever support those creators or befriend those people again. i'll never forgive those people for how they made me feel as a dv victim fresh out of the relationship. that misogynistic hate campaign impacted real women and i do believe anybody that took part in that should feel immense shame.
i'm sorry, i'm dead serious when i say anybody that took part in this should feel immense shame for the rest of their lives and go donate to your local domestic violence shelter or campaign. the outcome of this trial caused women to pull their cases against their abusers, recant statements, stay with their abusers, question themselves and their stories. this was a devastating blow to feminism, especially after me too.
I hate that there are no viable in-person ways for me to buy yarn for my projects. I miss having a lys so much. For some reason all the lys in my area are only open on the days and during the hours I work. Literally all of them are closed on one of my days off, and barely open on the other day off (the day I'm busy doing weekly errands so I can't really go there to browse anyway).
Buying yarn online is ok, but it feels so impersonal. Also I don't get the dopamine hit :(
also I can't color compare easily when my only option is online so i end up buying a few different colorways of single yarns (oops now I have more yarn). Anyway going to be making this

Rough sketch of Goliath
Dynamite Comics And Disney Comics Announce Second "Gargoyles" Ongoing Series Slated For This August.
The age of Gargoyles continues!
Bleeding Cool has exclusively revealed that this August, following San Diego Comic-Con, Greg Weisman, will launch a new ongoing series set in 1997, with the Gargoyles #1 comic book to be published by Dynamite Entertainment and Disney Comics.
The new ongoing series will be written by Greg Weisman, drawn by Gerardo Gambone, coloured by Robby Bevard and lettered by Jeff Eckleberry. With covers by Meghan Hetrick, Sebastian Piriz, Drew Moss and Frank Paur.
"GARGOYLES" #1 - WRITTEN BY GREG WEISMAN, ART BY GERARDO GAMBONE
"One thousand years ago, superstition and the sword ruled. It was a time of darkness. It was a world of fear. It was the age of GARGOYLES! Stone by day, warriors by night, they were betrayed by the humans they had sworn to protect…frozen in stone by a magic spell for a thousand years. Now, here in Manhattan, the spell is broken, and they live again! They are defenders of the night! They are Gargoyles! Whether readers picking up the new Gargoyles #1 have watched the whole animated series front to back several times, devoured the back in print classic years of comics, and have had every issue of the Dynamite era on their pull list from day one, or if they're just looking for a fun comic series full of deep characters, awesome action, and rewarding plotlines, this is the perfect book!" "As each season of the original show progressed in relative real time, then despite being released way later, each comics phase picks up from that point and continues on, the Gargoyles saga has reached the pivotal era of 1997. Fans are invited to flash back in time to the electrifying fun of the 1990s and the brilliant energy that cartoons of that era brought to the table, with Gargoyles first and foremost in its class. The titular Gargoyles only have eggs every 20 years, and the Manhattan Clan at the center of the saga have been keeping care of one playfully nicknamed "Egwardo." The only problem is — it's been stolen by arch-enemy Demona! As the Defenders of the Night try desperately to track down the egg, they're also faced with an awakened ancient, all-powerful evil with a vendetta against the entire world. All that and more can be expected each and every month in this new blockbuster series."
"For me, this is a story thirty years in the making. One I've been longing to tell. So longtime fans are seriously not going to want to miss this. At the same time, it's also a great place for new readers who know nothing about Gargoyles to jump aboard. We're making sure that everything you need to know is right there on the page. Your Gargoyles addiction begins here and now!" - Greg Weisman "Welcome to the first new ONGOING GARGOYLES SERIES in years! It's a new day (night?) for our heroes. New characters, new stakes, new adventures! If you've ever been Gargoyles-curious, THIS is the perfect jumping-on point to be introduced to the Manhattan Clan. And if you're a Day One fan, Greg Weisman's got you…he's beautifully threading centuries of Gargoyles lore through this new tale, and grounding the emotional stakes for Goliath and all of his brethren!" - Nate Cosby
i think as a writer, the older you get and the more you read, the more you realize there are very few actual truly bad ideas. which is a relief. but! the other thing you learn is that stories live and die on the execution and ha ha. lemme tell you. unfortunately. there are lots and lots of bad ways to execute an otherwise fine idea

men use ai more because they're more accustomed to the benefits and risks of having things done for them such that they take personal credit for labor they didn't perform.
Bro is really pretending women didn't invent programming, invent software engineering, pioneer core rope memory (manufactured exclusively by women and called "Little Old Lady memory"), created the precursor to binary in the form of loom punch cards, invent computer compilers and machine-independent programming (she is why you can use the same programs across different operating systems), and pioneer GUIs, the reason you are reading this post in a window right now and not as a line of text in a terminal. The initial computers (as a job distinct from the object computer, as I imagine you're too stupid to know this) were all women because the men thought themselves above silly new supposedly dead end technologies; women even volunteered to do it for free at huge rates because their thirst for tech, science, and innovation so outpaced men. Carpal tunnel was initially known as a "woman's trouble" because men refused to work with computers or manufacture their parts. Your only motivation is cash and notoriety while women build the foundations for the love of the game.
All men know how to do is steal female innovation and claim it for themselves.
Not to mention that most of this was done for the purpose of the first space exploration, which in of itself opens another huge can of women.
Nice genocidal maniac avatar btw, you're a big fan of the "victims are evil if they seek justice against their oppressors" storyline obviously written by the rapists and breast milk thieves I see. With a good dose of being led by your necrophiliac dick of course. But men are the logical sex, right?
"Women are stingy with money" is such a funny way to say "they don't blow up all the family's ressources in gambling, bitcoins, sport cars, alcohol, etc"
