if you ship bucktommy in any form, can you like/repost this?
I’m trying to see something.
*with barely contained lust* god hes such a pathetic fucking freak
Ed. Would you please write for us any number of facts about an au where Buck has a pet hedgehog. He can obtain this pet at any point in his life but I just want him to like. Really love his pet hedgehog. You know?
It is so incredibly illegal to own a hedgehog in California. You can't even get a license or permit for it. But they're okay in zoos and conservation centers, so this is going to be wildlife educator Buck!
1. Most of their animals come from two sources: native wildlife that can't be returned to the wild because of an injury or were captive born and exotic animals seized from illegal situations or neglectful owners. Everyone has their favorites, even if they shouldn't. Buck likes hanging out with Patty the rose hair tarantula, Snoopy the California condor, and Ross the American alligator. His clutch had been rescued from an illegal breeder in Los Feliz, given names of Friends characters because it was the late 90s, and most of them were released safely back in Florida. Ross has an issue with his leg that makes it hard to run, so he's Buck's favorite big, lazy dinosaur. And then he meets Tuna the hedgehog. Tuna, named for prickly pear cactus fruits, is a baby hedgehog that someone was trying to sell online in LA. She was seized and brought to the center Buck works at, and she curls up in his palm, a terrified little ball with sparse quills and big ears, and he falls in love.
2. In order to get Tuna to be okay with being handled, Buck has to take her home with him and keep a semi nocturnal schedule so he can interact with her and feed her and litter train her. She's not supposed to be weaned yet, so he's up every two hours with a pipette and a specialty milk replacement to keep her healthy and thriving until he can start feeding her bugs. Her quills aren't as poky as Spike's, their Indian crested porcupine, but she's a little pointy. But she doesn't ball up or snort with Buck within a couple of weeks. The first time she purrs at him, he cups her close to his chest and gently scratches between her ears, and the sleepless nights are all worth it.

for the 5 facts for 1 au thing, mayhaps a salbucktommy au where sal and tommy don't transfer before buck shows up and are in a secret relationship, only getting found out when buck accidentally interrupts a midnight tryst in the 118's supply closet?
1. Backstory: Tommy manages to pull Sal back before he really says something stupid to Bobby, and it keeps him from getting suspended. Bobby tries to get him the spot at the 122, but a captain transfers in from the valley. During a check in/unofficial performance plan meeting, Bobby tells him he'll help him find a place to become a captain inside the next couple years. But Sal has to trust that Bobby knows what he's doing and let him help him get to that point. Sal's still too rough around the edges, he needs to get better with authority or he'll get demoted fast. So they have a deal: Sal will be the unofficial LT for the house (since LAFD doesn't do LTs for some reason), he's just gotta learn to toe the line a little better sometimes. Tommy isn't as interested in getting out of there with Sal still around, so he misses the transfer opportunity to Harbor without realizing it. They're still there, but someone else on the shift leaves (one of the randomly named guys we see once a season), and they need a probie.
2. Buck joins the 118, fresh-faced and enthusiastic. He likes everyone on shift. Bobby's great, he's got a good mentor vibe to him and reminds Buck of the older guy who trained him at the dude ranch. Hen is fun and funny but so smart, Chimney seems like a goof off until he's in the field, and Sal and Tommy are like this crazy competent matched set. They're partners in the field, but they're just always together. They work out together, play video games together, help with meals together. Buck is a little jealous of that. He has his roommates, but their schedules are all different. And they're all more focused on partying, and he's too busy and tired for that. But Sal and Tommy are nice to him, too, including him when they seem to realize that they're just pairing off instead of interacting. He's still jealous of their closeness, wishes he could be part of it, but they've got years of friendship and he's just the new guy. He's been through that before.
911 hiAUtus - maddie leaves first
so i was poking around in the 911 HiAUtus tag (@911-hiautus) and found this prompt from @bluroux. i think it's been filled before but: two cakes??
How different would things be if Maddie was the one to leave home, work different jobs along the way, then land in LA, and Buck was the one who was initially trapped in some sort of abusive or manipulative marriage or relationship?
1.8k cake under the cut, warnings for canon-typical abuse as well as buck being groomed by his older spouse (oc) as a teenager.
---
1) Maddie leaves home when she's 21 and Evan is 14. She's shocked he and their parents don't reach out to her more often; she's shocked they don't reach out to her at all, until one day when her mom calls her, frantic.
"It's Evan."
Maddie's stomach drops. "What happened?"
"You have to come home. You have to come home immediately."
"Mom! Is he sick or—"
"He's—Maddie, he's moving to Pittsburgh."
She almost hangs up right then and there. "He's 18, Mom, he can move to Antarctica if he wants, you can't stop him."
"Maddie. He's moving with—with his science teacher."
"… with Ms. Leech? She's like a hundred years old."
"With Mr. Williams," her mom corrects.
"… Okay, also gross, but he's still 18. He can do whatever he wants."
"Maddie, please, you have to talk some sense into him, you have to stop him from throwing his life away! You're the only one he'll listen to!" A long pause. "He wouldn't have done this if you were still here."
"Bye, Mom," Maddie says, and blocks her number.
She doesn't text Evan. Evan doesn't text her.
This was part of a 5AU's prompt from @xunandran "rainy day activities" Well, I kind of went nuts on this one.
For context, this takes place after my abandoned Buddietommy fic "Forbidden Fruit (Hunger)," where Tommy was a cursed werewolf and Eddie is an incubus who feeds off emotional intimacy and affection, (spoilers) and Buck becomes a witch.
I doubt I will ever go back and finish that, so please have this scene that takes place after what I had planned for the original story. I hope you can enjoy it for what it is.
The rain had been pouring down nonstop for almost two days now, the power going out periodically, and they were all gathered in the living room by the light of a couple battery powered lanterns. At an hour, this was the longest outage thus far.
"You've been staring at that yarn for 10 minutes, Buck," Eddie said. He sat on the living room floor, doing his best to keep Theo distracted with Legos while Buck was on one end of the couch picking at a tangled up, bunch blue yarn, his face scrunched up in frustration. Eddie had actually noticed Buck's scent had been off all day, he'd just assumed it was from being cooped up inside for so long. It had changed from its usual, bright, warm and welcoming honey smell, taking on an anxious sour tinge that stung Eddie's nose.
For the 911 HiAUtus 5AU event - (any pairings] - prompt: rainy day activities
First, thank you so much for sending this!
Second, so sorry this took forever! I was struggling on the brain train on this one and most of these are duds, but I think I did okay at the very end there. Especially #5... you'll see!
These first 3 are all BuckTommy.
1. Early into their relationship, Tommy and Even make time for hangout dates whenever they can. This sometimes includes the odd morning workout or jog before an afternoon shift. On one of these mornings they get caught in a massive downpour. When they make it back to Tommy's place the only option is to strip and get clean. After having fun in the shower, Tommy takes the lead and begins to towel Evan off, noticing for the first time that Evan's hair gets quite curly when there isn't so much product in it. Evan's really shy about it, thinks it makes his look too childish, too messy, that he always tries to keep it short but Tommy tells him his curls are gorgeous, that he should grow it out even longer, and Evan never uses hair gel again.
2. (For context, this takes place in my Playdate Verse)
They're having a sleepover, this time at Tommy's house, and Buck and Tommy are hanging out on the couch while the kids are in Mason's room. It's been raining on and off all day when it starts to pickup. It isn't until the first roll of thunder and a call out from Theo that Buck and Tommy come running. They find Mason huddled away in his closet, scared of the storm. It takes a little while, but with some encouragement from Tommy and Theo, they get Mason to come out and they all end sleeping out in the living room in a giant puddle pillows and blankets,
3. The thunderstorm warning edges toward hurricane status when the power goes out. It can be a long while before the storm stops and Tommy forgot to charge his Kindle and refuses to let him charge it with one of their external batteries, so for a while Tommy just watches Evan knit by the light of the battery powered lantern. Eventually, Evan suggests teaching Tommy how to knit. They start out with simple scarf. The whole endeavor...does not go great. It somehow ends in near tears with Tommy almost throwing the needles across the room. Evan suggests they switch crochet.
This next one is EddieTommy.
4. It's a lazy, Sunday afternoon with just enough of a drizzle to cool down what has so far been a blaze hot summer. It's the perfect day to waste watching movies, Tommy's favorite rainy day activity, and this time he has someone to share it with. Tommy wants to watch a RomCom, but Eddie wants to watch a musical. The compromise on dance movies. They're near the end of Dirty Dancing, the final dance scene, when Tommy says he could definitely catch Eddie he did the leap. Eddie, being the only one with any actual experience with dance, calls him on it.
"It takes practice. Skill. Core strength, Tommy!" Eddie says.
"You don't think I have core strength?" Tommy lifts up his shirt, flashing his flexing abs. Eddie smirks at him, playfully slapping Tommy's stomach before he pulls the hem his shirt back down.
That should be the end of it, but Tommy won't let it go, and against Eddie's better judgement they end up clearing out the living room, pulling back the furniture and moving the TV to make space for the dumbest thing they've ever done that didn't require breaking the law. Chris watches at a safe distance, phone in hand and ready to record, after overhearing the commotion from his room.
They get into position and Eddie presses play on his own phone because you can't dance without music, and on the count of three, he makes the run towards Tommy's awaiting arms...
5 minutes late, the call center gets a call from a familiar number. At first, Josh thinks Chris is panicking, but he soon realizes what he's hearing is laughter.
"Oh my God, I think you landed on my wrist!" says a familiar voice in the background.
5. Stay tuned! As in now. On its own post, because I did a little thing.... HERE!
Ed, I have returned with another AU idea for you. The EddieTommy one! How about some Tommy and Eddie as Catholic school boys - classmates or schoolmates or maybe they're attending rival schools and competing against each other in some extra-curricular (sports or non-sports)?
Alright alright alriiiiight, Eddie's older or Tommy's younger or both idk
1. Eddie's new to the baseball team, but he played Little League since he could hold a bat. It lasted longer than dancing, because he'd quit that over two years ago after his parents killed the fun of it. The only reason the same thing didn't happen with baseball is because his dad never played, and they put money into extra stuff for dancing instead of extra baseball coaching. But he's good enough to get on the team when he's a freshman, he plays JV and watches the varsity team play and wishes he could join them. He's just finished a game when one of the varsity players comes up up him, the guy on second base. "You're good, you know that?" he says, and Eddie flushes and shoves his glove into his bag. "Thanks," he says, trying to keep his voice from doing anything embarrassing or weird. "I've seen you guys, I hope I can get on the team next year." "Eh, you probably will," the guy says. "A few of us are graduating, so if you talk to Stevens about it now, he'll like that you took initiative." He introduces himself as Tommy and has to meet his friends, but he just wanted Eddie to know he should definitely try out for varsity the next year.
2. It's hard to keep track of people when everyone wears the same uniform, harder still when Eddie's a freshman, but he notices Tommy around the halls. He's got his friend group, other jocks and they're boisterous and seem to all be close. He doesn't ever have one of the girls under his arm, but there's a few who look like they want to be. At lunch, Eddie sees him wrestle around with one of the guys until a sister steps in and reprimands them, but the guys are both grinning, even though their blazers are askew and their hair is fucked up. And he suddenly has to grab his backpack and shove it in his lap and pretend to look through it while he thinks, "Fuck, now, really? Why?" And he tosses the whole thing around in his head over and over and it gets embarrassing and weird really fast, so he tries not to think about it at all, even if he doesn't always believe what the nuns and priests say.
3. Shannon is cool and fun and hot, so Eddie distracts himself with her and doesn't think about how he keeps comparing her to a senior baseball player. He likes being with her, really likes when they start doing more beyond just kissing and holding hands, but sometimes when she's on top of him he holds her tight like it could make her weigh more.

@911-hiautus AU Prompt
Buck and Chris help Eddie set up a profile on a dating site (why ??? Don’t ask questions) but they leave preferences pretty open (on purpose or not who could say) so he matches with men and feels some type of way about it. He doesn’t have his face on his profile, and keeps it pretty anonymous—and then he matches with someone he figures out pretty quickly is Josh Russo. Josh doesn’t know it’s Eddie tho—so like texting fic of Eddie slowly opening up to him? “Practicing” flirting with a man until he realizes he wants to flirt with Josh for real actually? Just a slow blossoming friendship that leads to a relationship? Or they get real nasty real fast and Eddie has to deal with a sudden influx of horny feelings he’s hiding from his friends? ENDLESS OPTIONS
This gets pretty NSFW for a bit there.
1. Eddie is digging through the junk drawer in the kitchen and feeling like he's lost his mind. "Christopher! Are you sure you didn't see my phone?" he calls. The answer is a suspicious silence. He squints and listens. Buck and Chris are supposed to be putting together a Lego set they'd both been excited about, some space thing. There should be arguing, teamwork, jokes, them getting sidetracked, something. He goes to his son's room and pushes open the door just as Buck hides the phone behind his back. "Dude, seriously?" Eddie says, clamping a hand on Buck's shoulder so he can't squirm away and reaching behind him to grab the phone. He's about to change his passcode to something obscure. Screw his kid's birthday, he's putting something like Charlie Hough's strikeout record. "Why do you--" He unlocks his phone and sees a dating app. "He's mad," Chris says. "Uh, yeah, you're both grounded," Eddie says. "Out, you two are emptying the dishwasher. Nuh-uh, I don't want to see any pouting, serious violation of privacy. Go, both of you." "I'm older than you," Buck protests as Eddie shoos him out of the room. "Do I look like I give a fuck?" Eddie hisses, and Chris lets out an oooh behind them.
2. He forgets about it for a couple hours, because he's too busy asking them what the hell they were thinking. He's just glad he doesn't have dick pics or anything on his phone. Still, privacy. But he's starting dinner and feels his phone buzz in his pocket. He wipes his hands and has a notification from the app. He swears under his breath and unlocks his phone to tell the poor woman he's sorry but no. Except the person in the picture isn't a woman, it's-- "Josh?" he says incredulously. Why the fuck would Josh message him on a dating app? And then Eddie looks at his profile, realizes he must've interrupted them in the middle of making it. The "about me" and a few of the questions are answered, but there's nothing set for preferences--male, female, drinkers, smokers, etc. And the only photo is a post gym selfie in which most of his face is obscured by his phone and a Chihuahuas hat. The message from Josh says: "I don't normally reach out to a faceless torso, but are you from El Paso, too?" Eddie didn't know Josh was from El Paso, because that would've meant they'd have to talk instead of bitching at each other at dispatch. He goes to Josh's profile. It's extremely normal: looking for friends or someone special, Texas boy in Los Angeles, likes old movies and horror films (which is actually surprising), doesn't like smokers, drinks socially, loves karaoke. The photos are a couple of selfies, a couple of photos that were definitely taken by other people at a bar and what looks to be Maddie and Chim's yard, one where he's hiking and has a backpack strap across a tight shirt, and one where Josh is glancing at the camera with a smile while he's on a lounge chair by a pool. He's wearing a shirt, but it's unbuttoned, and his swim trunks are tiny. He's hairy, way hairier than Eddie. Before he can rethink it, he responds to Josh.
